Former Glam Team of Heart Evangelista Denied Flight to UAE

In the past days, an incident involving the former glam team of Heart Evangelista made the news. Justin Soriano and Jeck Aguilar, according to reports, were unable to join Pia Wurtzbach in UAE.

Allegedly, Soriano and Aguilar were denied to board their flight. Initially, it was reported that there was a hold departure order. However, according to a source of Fashion PULIS, when the visas were scanned, there was no memo that instructed the two were to be denied of leaving. In other words, there was no explanation for the denial.

When Philippine Airlines prevented the two from taking their flight, they tried Etihad. The same thing happened. as they were once again barred although they were able to check-in online. Even the road manager of Wurtzbach was unable to fly. As far as their destination, the UAE, and the embassy were concerned, they were good to go.

Thus, the assumption was that the prevention came from the country. The source also said that the case of the two was known as a ‘white label.’ Someone could have tipped the Immigration that they might not return to the country anymore. Still, the case remains a mystery as no order was allegedly shown to prove the accusations that the two were flight risks or would no longer return to PH.

As of this writing, the source and circumstances of the prevention of the leaving of Soriano and Aguilar remain a mystery.

    9. Ogie never blamed Heart. Ogie said “may mga usapan na …. mag research pa kami sa katotohanan”. Pls listen again sa YT, while mentioned, never blamed and subject to confirmation.

    10. I watched the vlog of OD. Yes, no direct statement that it was HE’s fault, but there was insinuation, enough to put doubts to those who watched to THINK that the incident MIGHT BE connected to her. That’s the problem with such reporting. They get exempted for putting the blame if they just plant the seed of doubt.

    1. Try nila, mdaming na ooffload kahit mga celebrity, kaso sila dalawang airlines meaning na flag na sila baka kasi kita ng airlines na mag photoshoot sa dubai with all the things in their luggages tapos tourist ang sasabihin, pero mukhang glam team super strict ng pinas sa ganyan, baka nakalusot nung una then akala mkakalusot uli, e kaso buking na yan ng mga airline personnel for sure yan nka follow sila s mga iG ng mga yan or na check na nila yang ganyan na mga mga gawain. If they have attorney wala naman problema they can file it anytime, sa korte nln magpaliwanagan.

    2. ‘Someone could have tipped’ it’s not definite, insinuation lang. And besides this happen very often, airlines are very strict to Dubai-bound passengers. Most likely they don’t have the proper documents to fly.

    5. Airline only follows the durection of the IO. They cannot let them board even if walang HDO kasi responsibility ng airline to make sure that the people they ferry in and out of the country have the proper permissions to go where they want and to do what they are allowed and not what they aren't allowed. They're not tourists they're travelling for work. Yet, the likelihood is they do not have working visas for the destination country.

      Delete
    6. No. Its not the airlines fault. The instruction came from inside the immigration. So immigration and pwede nila ireklamo. Nakakatakot how easily an anonymous person can tip off and prevent you from flying.

    11. @7:41 that doesn't apply to all. In case of UAE bound travelers, the airline will ask for your visa. May visa readers nga sila ng UAE visas. If tourist, they will ask for your Tourist Visa + Affidavit of Support and Guarantee (authenticated by Philippine Consulate in UAE), if you don't have this they will deny you entry. I think this was waived few years back, but they reinstated this requirement. Now if you are an OFW, they will ask for your residence or work visa + OEC from OWWA. Ganyan pa UAE ka pupunta. Kahit may airline ticket di ibig sabihin automatic ka nila i-check in

For tourist visa you should automatically present affidavit of support and guarantee. If u don't have this doc, the airline automatically will not check you in. SOP yan sa kanila. If u remember nagkaissue mga Pinoy tourists before nagrerequire BI ng kung ano ano docs (kahit di UAE). Now, in case if UAE ka punta yan ay mandatory and isa sa pinakaimportant requirement. Kasama yan sa screening ng airline counters aside from presenting your UAE visa. Ang nagrequire nyan ay Philippine Consulate in UAE and BI because of so many Pinoy jobseekers in UAE

    2. Yes - it could happen to anyone, ANYWHERE!

Before you travel, make sure you have the right VISA and bring with you relevant documents (hotel reservation, airline booking, invitation, etc.) just in case you get interviewed.

Also, remember that even if you have a VISA, that is not a guarantee of entry. Visa allows you to travel but if there are circumstances that either the airline, the immigration counter (either in country of departure or country of destination) - deem questionable, you could still be denied.

It’s an immigration issue. White label, very common to UAE tourists na naghahanap ng work. Not only UAE rampant din yan sa SG and HK. Offload yan sa first gatekeepers. Meaning you didn’t show sufficient documents sa check-in palang kaya ka naflag. Malamang mali visa nila.
Syempre lahat makakapagonline checkin wo issues, since wala naman gatekeeping dyan only at the airport.
Insufficient documents or requirements cause nito. When you travel to UAE most of time check-in will ask AoS authenticated by the embassy. Very strict. Seems like first time ba nila magDubai?

  29. Nasa grey area kasi ang work nila. Their client is not a registered businessperson in Dubai or in the locations they shoot. Yun kasi they are not direct employees but contractors. The law is, before you fly to another country to do paid business/work there, especially if known yung work publicly, unless may right ka to go in and out of that country without restrictions, you need the proper permissions. They need to be supported by their client so they can get a short term working visa sa embassy ng country saan sila magwowork. Hindi lang yan for the host country where they will visit to work - its also especially for the Philippines and Philippine immigration so that they can be taxed accordingly. Di ba ang long term na OFWs cannot go out of the country to work outside if they cannot show working visa for the host country, then similarly they also need to. Kahit entertainers ng GMA and ABS, they are acquired work visas by their employers pag may show sila abroad. Ganun din ang staff na support nila. Ang employees ng isang company na ang job includes to travel to other countries, kinukuhanan sila ng visa for a period of years. Ang kuya ko, ang passport niya arrange ng company, tapos may 5-yr visa siya for Japan, Malaysia and Vietnam kasi dun yung mga branches ng company nila. Na flag sila, and I am speculating here, based on what my friend who works at the Phil. Emba in Berlin said - its because they travel so frequently and as evidenced by their social media posts - they go to these countries not as tourists but to work.
Seguro their work with Heart in Paris was supported by Heart's own consular status - its either a working visa or as part of the staff of a Senator's wife so may exceptions na diplomatic. But Pia does not have that exception so they should have gotten permissions for consular and immigration issues.

    4. 9:35 the UAE has no problem as long as you have a visa. PH, though, requires Filipinos to have PROPER documentation. Mali ang visa nila. Period. Sa UAE as long as may visa ka makakapasok ka. Dapat may work permit sila or freelance visa issued by Pia.

      Delete
    5. 9:35 clearly they were not 'Good to go' kasi they were offloaded for the purpose of imposing due process. Kaya nga the BI ay kakayahan to offliad those that cannot support their claim na magbabakasyon lang sila.

Tandaan that ignorancenof the law does not excuse behavior.

    8. 3:50 it appears they don't have the right documentation. Even OFWs pa Dubai, kailangan ang documents to prove employment. For tourists, they have to prove they are only there to vacay. The airlines don't have power to deny entry, IO lang. IO gives their guidance to the airlines, airlines impose them. The problem then has to do with the match of their visa to their purpose for Dubai.

    5. 9:83 kumpleto documents 'as tourists'. Nasilipan na hindi sila magbabakasyon, kundi magtatrabaho.

    1. ang salbahe mo. kung sinisigawan nila amo nila that's appropriate to say. but the fact is, theyre customers using air travel and yes in that case sila ang amo and to be served ng staff ng airlines. ang panget ng pagkasabi mo because as if employees sila na theyre not equal to amo. we're all equals here. only in the phils na parang di ka deserve tratuhin na pantay for being an employee.

    2. Mas mahigpit nga sa ibang bansa.

Kapag naabutan or nahuli sila na kulang documents nila, naku mahirap baka ma-blacklist pa.

And Filipino learns to follow rules in other countries, Hindi sila ng tip toe doon in terms of rules or regulations or law, either makukulong or may monetary penalty or ma black-list.

    6. 9:40 allowed lumipad 'if tourists '.

      Delete
    8. @9:40 Wala talaga problem ang UAE pag may tourist visa ka, they will welcome you. Sobra sila higpit, may instructions sa airline counter pa lang on the required documentations, so if di sila complete di na sila makakacheck-in

  41. Good to go nga daw ang visa sabi ng UAE embassy. So okay ang visa nila

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Good to go as Tourist Visa or Business Visa? Both can be valid. But the other one has restrictions to work. Which could potentially ask the next question, what is their purpose of travelling? Immigration can definitely interfere as this is their interest.

      Delete
    2. Iba kase ang visa sa UAE, pwede mag work kahit visit visa, kaso ilegal un. Oo valid ang UAE visa nila for visit, kaso ang reason nila para magpunta sa UAE is hindi to visit but to work.

      Delete
    3. So bakit hindi sila nakapag-rebook ulit?May missing info. Dapat on the way na sila ulit di ba?

      Delete
    4. Good to go 'as tourists'. Phil. Law and UAE bilateral agreement regarding OFWs and working Pinoys in UAE ask for doumentation before flying to prove you are not working if tourist ang claim mo.

    6. Good to go but as a tourist. They cant do any work like make up, influencers thingy becuz if they did, auto deport na agad sila.

      Delete
    7. Ang business class flights may options yan ng ibat ibang fare choices which is pwede i rebook afterwards kung eligible for full refund naman. Nakalagay pa mismo yan sa website ng Etihad, it includes last minute changes.Kung may anda sya for her alipores, that should not be a problem. Unless, there is a bigger issue.

      Delete
    8. Kulang yan sa documents required by Philippine side (BI). Not UAE side.

May nag invite na datung classmate niya sa Melbourne to meet up also to see if Ate wants to work sa start up nila dun (sa IT si Ate, early 2010 to). Pero sa immigration gate, they held Ate kasi when the IO woman asked, Ate said she's meeting a friend who invited her to their start up. Naging suspicious yung IO. They then asked my Ate aside and opened her luggage. Eh si Ate tanga, she had about 3000 US cash, she didnt have the time to deposit sa bank, kuha lang niya sa baul ni mama. Ayun, pinabalik sa Pinas si Ate. Kasi intent and arrangement to work plus cash - ang suspicion baka mag tnt si Ate. Naka 2 beses na nag tour si Ate sa Oz before this, and our family isn't poor. Na trauma Ate ko, now she only goes to countries na free to go in and out or friendly sa Pinas passport for vacay or biz like HK, SG, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China (for snow - sa Harbin) Japan at Sokor. Sabi ni Ate that was when she realized the power of citizenship and how weak our passport is.

Our family is in politics, and I can say this confidently - our politicians can only influence within our country, wala tayong soft power abroad. After ng incident na to, the situation sa Pinas increasingly nag offload na from Pinas before pa makaabot sa ibang bansa kasi mas magastos at mas complicated kung denied entry sa destination country na.

Kaya for me, offload situation ito. It doesn't matter kahit ilang beses magpatix ang traveler, same situation pa rin kung di na resolve status nila sa IO list - ang visa nila is Tourist, ang purpose nila is work, at sa records ng IO, di yun tugma, magkaproblema sila abroad, the country cannot help them at wala tayong masyadong resources. So they will not be allowed to leave until they fix their travel docs.

  42. “As far as their destination, the UAE, and the embassy were concerned, they were good to go.“ so hindi VISA ang problema.

    ReplyDelete

They can get freelance working visa sa UAE kung purpose nila is to work during their stay. If visit visa, they will be allowed to enter UAE and magagawa nila yung shoot nila pero “if” ma random check sila ng authority, they will get fines.

  47. It's possible there might be something missing in their documentation or permits that made the immigration take a step back and think they are not good to fly. I know our IO (PH side) can be POS and power trippers, but the fact they were denied by 2 airlines based from the IO's instruction, means something if off. Not a visa problem, but maybe permit or declaration problem. They could had lied about their intent on their travels, showcased discrepancy on their documentation and statements, or simply put, they exhibited inappropriate attitude while they were in the presence of the IO's questioning.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Haler. Halata naman kasing they’re flying to Dubai not as a tourist pero work related pero ang visa na pinresent nila is TOURIST VISA. Walang power tripping na nangyari jan. Mahigpit lang IO sa mga ganitong kalakaran. Wag feeling victim.

Eto pa kaya sila na ilang beses na nagpunta abroad working as MUA kuno pero as tourists pala ang ganap. They even posted it on their socmed kaya ayun..

  56. Pia's husband is known to be a traveller and an expert with anything related to it so I highly doubt na may issues sa papers nila. The way i see it, this is power tripping.

    ReplyDelete
So obviously sa immigration sila nagka problema

    ReplyDelete
