Didn’t get the hype for this movie. Pinanonood ko. Para lang syang If Only and Sana Maulit Muli. Akala ko pa naman may bagong offer na kwento ang movie pero same old same old lang din pala.
I think it's very new sa mga hindi naka panood ng If only. mangilan ngilan lng nmn pinoy nakapanood nun sa pinas. let's give it to them. they're happy.
And yet, it succeeded massively. It can only mean the viewing public liked it and they got it more than you. Its family and relationship focused so it's an easy watch for many.
Senior citizen na po ako mga anak. But i watched the movie twice. First time with my children. The second one with my friend. Its not just the movie nor the stars. Its the reminder of many things. It will still be a blockbuster movie kung hindi sina Marian and Dingdong. Star Cinema can give this movie to Piolo-Judy Ann or Bea and John Lloyd pero iyong taas ng ganyang earning is made possible by Marian and Dingdong dahil nanood ang mga fans ng kabilang network.
Lol no it was marketing and the fact it was shown during MMFF that helped break records. If this was shown on abs reg day, it probably wouldn’t even break 100 million. Dongyan has long been past their prime, and their latest flop shows and movies prove it. Dong hasn’t had a hit in years since his last SC movie and Marian has never had a major blockbuster hit. Their seryes have flopped as well. Time will tell if this movie will revive their careers or if it was a one hit wonder.

Pinsan ko, tried so hard online many times nung Dec during the festival to buy tix for the family, wala halos because of the number of tickets na kailangan namin. So pumunta siya ng cinema maaga before they open only to find na marami na ng nakalinya. Awa ni Lods nakakakuha kami sa last full show. Pinatulog muna namin mga bata para makanood sa gabi. Naging big event siya tuloy sa family. Happy pa rin ng lumabas kasi sobrang bonding kami sa effort at sa message ng movie. Tapos kain kami sa labas before the movie. Si mommy iyak na hagulhol sa theatre, sinundan siya ng iba pa. Haay, sobrang event talaga. My fam will remember this as our shared happiness sa aming good memory baul.

ReplyDeleteIt will still be a blockbuster movie kung hindi sina Marian and Dingdong. Star Cinema can give this movie to Piolo-Judy Ann or Bea and John Lloyd pero iyong taas ng ganyang earning is made possible by Marian and Dingdong dahil nanood ang mga fans ng kabilang network.

DeleteLol no it was marketing and the fact it was shown during MMFF that helped break records. If this was shown on abs reg day, it probably wouldn’t even break 100 million. Dongyan has long been past their prime, and their latest flop shows and movies prove it. Dong hasn’t had a hit in years since his last SC movie and Marian has never had a major blockbuster hit. Their seryes have flopped as well. Time will tell if this movie will revive their careers or if it was a one hit wonder.

DeleteOther people minimize the impact of Dongyan and giving all the credit to star cinema. It's a partnernship. Star cinema can hype and market as much as they can pero kung di naman mahal ng tao ang casts, it doesn't matter how good the story is and vice versa. Can't deny Marian's star is still shining brightly, hate her or love her.

ReplyDeletePinsan ko, tried so hard online many times nung Dec during the festival to buy tix for the family, wala halos because of the number of tickets na kailangan namin. So pumunta siya ng cinema maaga before they open only to find na marami na ng nakalinya. Awa ni Lods nakakakuha kami sa last full show. Pinatulog muna namin mga bata para makanood sa gabi. Naging big event siya tuloy sa family. Happy pa rin ng lumabas kasi sobrang bonding kami sa effort at sa message ng movie. Tapos kain kami sa labas before the movie. Si mommy iyak na hagulhol sa theatre, sinundan siya ng iba pa. Haay, sobrang event talaga. My fam will remember this as our shared happiness sa aming good memory baul.

ReplyDeleteHighest earning kasi ang basis naman dyan ay gross sales, hindi ticket sales. Tig 400 pesos na sine ngayon, malamang easier for them to reach that amount with less number of viewers

Deletetotoo naman na kaya highest grossing na siya agad kahit ongoing pa rin sa cinema eh dahil mahal na nga ang sine ngayon. imagine mo puno yung sinehan tapos 400 kada ulo.
DeleteSobrang ganda naman kasi nang movie, pati cinematography and editing. Napapanahon… after all the things we learned from pandemic… they got the right movie formula to show. It really leaves an imprint in your heart.
