@955 correction congestion AND undisciplined drivers ang problem. Jeepneys that continue to pollute the air needs to go…regardless of sentimentality we need to move forward from this antiquated mode of transportation. Also, retesting everyone on road rules and safety…bet you a million bucks na majority hindi papasa sa exams. ni hindi nga alam ng mga “educated” drivers sa manila how to navigated a 4 way stop sign intersection eh.
It is a part of our culture na pag may kotse, mayaman, so the more, the merrier, kahit pang isa or 2 kotse lang ang parking sa bahay, lol.
Assuming may efficient railway system na sa Pilipinas, can we expect Pinoys with cars to go back to taking the public transpo? One part of me says yes kasi nung mag work ako sa Makati, I liked taking the P2P.
I think multiple reasons. Isama na poor urban planning. Illegal parking is one reason too.
so true. di na ako lumalabas because everything takes 1 hour or more. parang even going out is stressful. i feel like nasasayang buhay ko. sa house na lang kami kakain. tipid pa. a lot of times we would go out, the traffic or stress from too long service or bad washrooms and horrible traffic, wag na lang. i also want to watch concerts but just the thought makipagsiksikan sa traffic, it isnt worth it for me. when you come from a an area that has little to no traffic problems, you feel youre being shortchanged every time you deal with traffic. imagine mo, all the rich people in manila need to contend with traffic whereas people in the rural areas can get to places in 15mins. i say that's a sign of how ncr people are have nots.we have not the freedom from traffic. people just adapted to it as a coping mechanism. eventually businesses will be more and more aftected unless ipaayos nila sa govt tong traffic problem natin. the rich people have the power but they wont care until theyre impacted negatively. they already are di lang nila alam why. i used to love to ship. but nowadays, we shop online lang. di na kami nakakarating sa mga SM kasi nga ang traffic hinahanap na lang lagi sa lazada shoppee. ang up side, tipid kasi we don't get to browse. we shop online like in amazon too.
9:58 I feel you classmate. Buti na lang walking distance ako sa lahat from Market to Church and U-Belt. Hindi ako nasanay sa traffic and long commute. Saka with the technology today yung mga gusto gawin dati sa labas, nagagawa na rin sa bahay. Dati we need to go out sa mga internet and coffee shop. Pero karamihan sa atin may access na sa mabilis na internet at may option na for other coffee aside sa nescafe. Same with movies. With the streaming sites, di na natin need mastuck sa traffic at tatakbo para maabutan yung movie.
Lahat nalang kinakahiya. Thats reality.
Hahaha omg 🤣 I think sguro if the govt starts to really give citations to those who don't follow the traffic rule, then it may improve. Di naman kelangan lahat hulihin. When people see that our traffic enforcers are really enforcing the law, that may help..
Hey mate... how about telling me something i don't know about my country? :) :) :) A simple 10 seconds googling will tell you 6 months in advance that traffic in Manila is #1 in the world :D :D :D Bloody hilarious mate ;) ;) ;)
Talagang makaranas ng traffic ang band going to the venue.
Di niya experience ang traffic before.
MOA and Araneta are too small for big international artists... Gusto nilang sulitin kumbaga ang oras nila travelling to a far far away country like the Philippines so they need to accomodate as much fans as they could when they go here and only Philippine arena is up to the task.
Ang daming VIPs na naka-helicopter going to the venue, and I don't mean the President and his entourage.
Coldplay are also advocates for a healthier environment, so seeing all those vehicles being idle in traffic that lasts for hours while emitting so much pollution must have been upsetting. Just imagine if an ambulance needs to get through because it's a life and death situation but because of traffic congestion, the patient dies or worse, hindi pa makarating ang ambulance on time dun sa patient dahil nga sobrang traffic.
The Philippines need an effective transportation system pero ang biggest problem is the lack of discipline.
It's like it's ingrained in Filipinos to disobey and rebel against what's good for them. Hwag kang makialam" dismissive attitude agad and ayaw mag-adjust for the good of everyone.
Until Filipinos learn to have self-discipline and desire for self-improvement, walang mangyayari sa bansa. Filipinos are the ones standing against their own greatness. Alam nyo bakit napaka-successful ng Japan? Because they do everything for the good of their fellow citizens.
i dont think discipline ang BIGGEST problem, it is just one of the reasons why traffic is insane in the Phils. I think lng nmn, its bec andami sskyan sa Phils at wala rules na iphase out yung 10yr old cars na meron atang ganung rules with other countries, parking sa labas ng bahay is allowed din, di rin ganun kadami o kganda ang infrstructure sa Pilipinas, population growth is one of the factors din. If only the government will intensively study/research the traffic managment/stratrgy of those countries with effective traffic mgmgt and apply it to our country so maybe mag impove ang traffic sa atin. The thing is wala nmn ata pakialam ang gobyerno., they focus on mere infrastructure. Yes it is good, traffic will be better for a short time but after 5 yrs 10yrs, we will go back to the same issue kung wala kang gagawin about population growth and phasing out of old cars.
Ok 9:17AM magbabago na kami lilipad na kami from now on para less traffic. traffic is caused by lack of an effective mass traansit system. and that is a problem that needs to be resolved top-down. no amount of discipline from regular civilians can solve that problem.
we are featured in tmz. apparently, we are the worst out of 400 countries (or the top traffic). to be the best at being the worst.. it pains my heart. the corrupt officials and people who support them have failed us.
"Fun and games aside, Manila's traffic problem has been a real issue ... with the city topping the 2023 TomTom Traffic Index list of metro areas with the slowest travel time of almost 400 cities in 55 countries."
kakaconcert lang ni ed sheeran sa UAE.. buses were provided from different emirates to the venue to minimize traffic.. kse malayo din ang venue.. dapat lahat ganyan magisip.. at least provide at alternative transpo..
