I think multiple reasons. Isama na poor urban planning. Illegal parking is one reason too. Yung mga alternative roads ay masisikip kasi may mga nagpark sa may sidewalk.

so true. di na ako lumalabas because everything takes 1 hour or more. parang even going out is stressful. i feel like nasasayang buhay ko. sa house na lang kami kakain. tipid pa. a lot of times we would go out, the traffic or stress from too long service or bad washrooms and horrible traffic, wag na lang. i also want to watch concerts but just the thought makipagsiksikan sa traffic, it isnt worth it for me. when you come from a an area that has little to no traffic problems, you feel youre being shortchanged every time you deal with traffic. imagine mo, all the rich people in manila need to contend with traffic whereas people in the rural areas can get to places in 15mins. i say that's a sign of how ncr people are have nots.we have not the freedom from traffic. people just adapted to it as a coping mechanism. eventually businesses will be more and more aftected unless ipaayos nila sa govt tong traffic problem natin. the rich people have the power but they wont care until theyre impacted negatively. they already are di lang nila alam why. i used to love to ship. but nowadays, we shop online lang. di na kami nakakarating sa mga SM kasi nga ang traffic hinahanap na lang lagi sa lazada shoppee. ang up side, tipid kasi we don't get to browse. we shop online like in amazon too.

DeleteSaka with the technology today yung mga gusto gawin dati sa labas, nagagawa na rin sa bahay. Dati we need to go out sa mga internet and coffee shop. Pero karamihan sa atin may access na sa mabilis na internet at may option na for other coffee aside sa nescafe. Same with movies. With the streaming sites, di na natin need mastuck sa traffic at tatakbo para maabutan yung movie.

Walang pangil kasi ang mga batas dito sa Pinas. Sa dami ng batas hindi naman nai-implement ng maayos so wala ring saysay. Isa pa yang palakasan system na pag may koneksyon ka o kakilalang maimpluwensyang personalidad lusot kaagad sa violations. Mga politikong gumagawa ng batas pag binusisi pabor muna sa sarili bago sa taumbayan.

ReplyDeleteKung maganda commute system sa Pinas, less ang gagamit ng sasakyan. May mga cities na maliit pero mataas ang population density like tokyo, hongkong, singapore, at seoul pero dahil may option mga tao dun sa efficient train and bus system nila, di na nila kailangan mag sasakyan.

Coldplay are also advocates for a healthier environment, so seeing all those vehicles being idle in traffic that lasts for hours while emitting so much pollution must have been upsetting. Just imagine if an ambulance needs to get through because it's a life and death situation but because of traffic congestion, the patient dies or worse, hindi pa makarating ang ambulance on time dun sa patient dahil nga sobrang traffic.
ReplyDeleteThe Philippines need an effective transportation system pero ang biggest problem is the lack of discipline. Ang daming sign sa highway "hwag tatawid, nakakamatay" pero ang mga tao saan tumatawid? Dun mismo sa sinabing hwag tawiran. May sign na bawal magtapon ng basura, pero ang basura nandun mismo sa harap ng signage.
It's like it's ingrained in Filipinos to disobey and rebel against what's good for them. Instead na tanggapin ang criticism, lalabanan agad ng "sino ka ba? Hwag kang makialam" dismissive attitude agad and ayaw mag-adjust for the good of everyone.
Until Filipinos learn to have self-discipline and desire for self-improvement, walang mangyayari sa bansa. Kahit na sino pa iupo nyong leader, kung ang mismong majority ay ayaw magbago, wala talagang progress. Filipinos are the ones standing against their own greatness. Alam nyo bakit napaka-successful ng Japan? Because they do everything for the good of their fellow citizens. Walang attitude na "bahala na" or "ako lang ang dapat lamang". Kapag may improvements na supported ng mamamayan, buong country makikinabang.
i dont think discipline ang BIGGEST problem, it is just one of the reasons why traffic is insane in the Phils. I think lng nmn, its bec andami sskyan sa Phils at wala rules na iphase out yung 10yr old cars na meron atang ganung rules with other countries, parking sa labas ng bahay is allowed din, di rin ganun kadami o kganda ang infrstructure sa Pilipinas, population growth is one of the factors din. If only the government will intensively study/research the traffic managment/stratrgy of those countries with effective traffic mgmgt and apply it to our country so maybe mag impove ang traffic sa atin. The thing is wala nmn ata pakialam ang gobyerno., they focus on mere infrastructure. Yes it is good, traffic will be better for a short time but after 5 yrs 10yrs, we will go back to the same issue kung wala kang gagawin about population growth and phasing out of old cars.
DeleteOk 9:17AM magbabago na kami lilipad na kami from now on para less traffic. traffic is caused by lack of an effective mass traansit system. and that is a problem that needs to be resolved top-down. no amount of discipline from regular civilians can solve that problem.

kakaconcert lang ni ed sheeran sa UAE.. buses were provided from different emirates to the venue to minimize traffic.. kse malayo din ang venue.. dapat lahat ganyan magisip.. at least provide at alternative transpo..
