ReplyDeleteMaganda ang Rewind, yan ang favorite kong MMFF movie this year. (I watched all entries.) Alam ko though na sa awards, pwede talaga silang mahigitan ng ibang entries. That does not diminish the fact na maganda yung pagkakagawa ng movie, yung direction and yung acting.
ReplyDeleteI have only watched Rewind but planning to watch Firefly, Family of Two, and Gomburza. But I was actually surprised with Dingdong's acting. He is so good here in Rewind. I cried tons during his crying scenes and dalang dala ako talaga, tagos. But yeah, it's a simple movie but with such great impact.

DeleteMe too. Will watch Family of Two, When I met you in Tokyo, and now because of inputs here Firefly. pero totoo lang sila talaga mga gusto ko because Sharon, Vilma and Alessandra. I watched Rewind na grabe ganda ng message between spouses. Made me come home a better spouse. but also yung overall messge to wives or women in society. Mejo deep sya may layers yung messaging but subtle. Simple story if youve a simple mind, then may 2nd layer or messaging sya na subliminal.

It mught not be award winning, but it has it's own impact especially among married couples who are going through the same problems kaya tagos siya sa mga nanonood kung relate sila. Sometimes you don't need award winning acting, you need something that you can emotionally access. I think the DY movie is helpful sa box office gross ng mmff, sobrang naincrease ang theatres para sa kanila dahil sa demand. Halos ilang taong walang kita dahil sa pandemya.

It didnt help that the rare times I got my family to go, disappointing yung ibang shows so parang, "I told you so" sila sa akin. Last year, I wanted to support but got scared pa or lazy. This year, Marian drew me out. First movie I watched. But also, the movie's theme appealed to me Yun talaga eh, come up with good movies and we will willingly spend money. There are years I dont watch. this year, I plan to watch Sharon, Vilma, Alessandra, maybe Becky and Badette support Eugene (pwd anak nya like mine ) and Pokwang (single mom), maybe also Matteo (even if he gets on my nerves, he so got lucky with Sarah G.) kasi seems nice. Tama din sabi ni Marian kahit hindi sila ang artista jan maganda talaga ang movie alam naman natin ang mga pinoy mahilig sa drama esp family matters.

ReplyDeleteI felt that FIREFLY deserves other awards like Best Cinematography, Director and Actress in a lead Role.
12:31 waah same thought tayo baks! As in, for me, dapat sa Firefly din ang Cinematography, Actress at Director. Napanood ko 7/10 except yung kay Christian Bables na may break-up chuchu, Kampon at Pedro Penduko.

ReplyDeleteAng nakakatuwa yung Penduko that I had no interest in and I don't like Matteo pero medyo looked good sa trailer. Becky and Badette din, funny yung trailer. Parang lahat tuloy gusto ko panoorin. Mahalia nga lang and the time needed to watch all, san ako kukuha? Suggestion ko sana wag din sobrang haba. Minsan gusto ko to watch pero ayoko ng time commitment ubos oras ko. Gusto ko tuloy magmarathon and ako lang and a friend and wala akong iisiping ibang tao but myself. Sana please keep them short. Dati kasi moves were only 1hour-long. Nowadays 2 hours na. Lugi din kasi fewer showings. And for moms like me na busy busy, i dont get to support as many kasi limited tome ko. I want to watch them all pero I only have short pockets of time minsan.

DeleteAwards are great kasi narerecognize ang acting skills. Pero ang MMFF also has another task - to raise box office gross because it funds projects for the year? What's the Box Office like meron na bang na count?

DeleteMagusap usap sana kayo and make shorter movies. mas dadami masuporthan namin. Mas madaming time for other things. Nakakainis minsan yung nanood ka ng movie and it feels like half a day is lost. Sana din malls have better bathroom access and a way to navigate where bathrooms are! Kasi like sa Rockwell, i loved that area before everyone knows where the toilets are and mabilis yung turnover.Naligaw ligaw kami kanina. Part of the reason I rarely go out kasi ang kadiri ng mga toilets sa atin. I dont mind paying for facilities pero make it worth my time. Dati we would be out weekly prepandemic. but now? Rare na because di na ako sanay to deal with the bad facilities. Even nung nanood kami una puros Director's Club but the bathrooms were not up to par. Hassle pa if mahaba yung movie if you have kids for sure magkakabathroom break. Having shorter movie times ensures no bathroom breaks needed and we can order drinks without fear of a toilet break. Keep movies shorter please!

They're co-producers so they're laughing their way to the bank while they stay in your head rent free. Kaya imbes na sila ang patulugin mo, ikaw na lang ang matulog at nang mabawan ang stress mo sa buhay. Lol.
DeleteKaya nga matagal na rin gusto magka movie sa Star Cinema si Marian dahil gusto niya daw ma-involve ulit sa heavy drama. Pero sa tingin ko dahil rin gusto niya mag box office hits ang movies niya.
