If an actor sucks at the role given to him or her, the director and producer must share equal blame as the actor. The producer for casting the actor despite knowing their severe limitations, while the director also must be held responsible for allowing subpar performances to make it through their film’s final cut. Even in Hollywood, known actors end up getting their roles cut during post production if the director finds it either mediocre or irrelevant to the film’s overall story.
