Warning: mention of possible suicide.According to the police, Lee Sun Gyun has passed away.
On December 27, the Seoul Seongbuk Police Station reported that they had found an unconscious man inside a parked car in Seoul’s Waryong Park. They had gone to the site after receiving an emergency call from a woman who said her husband had left the house after writing what appeared to be a suicide note.
Later that morning, the police confirmed reports that the man in question was Lee Sun Gyun by stating, “His identity has been confirmed.”
The police are also said to have found evidence of lit charcoal briquettes inside Lee Sun Gyun’s car, further suggesting that his death may have been a suicide.
Starting this past October, Lee Sun Gyun had been under investigation by the police on charges of illegal drug use.
So incredibly sad…he was such a talented actor. My favorite show that he was in is My Mister. I feel bad for the wife and the two kids he left behind…

I just watched his recent horror movie and I was wondering what makes him such a convincing actor. He really fills himself with character and emotion and this accusation, which resulted in negative drugs tests and his financial blackmail, really hurt him and his family deeply. RIP 🙏.

He executed that scene soo good. Sayang. Rest in Peace Sir, you left behind string of quality movies and kdramas to remember you by.

I remember din na isang 2nd gen KPOP idol nila wala namang ebidensya makita pero kinulong pa rin dahil sa public opinion. Ganyan sila kalala. Kaya I stopped patronizing their music and dramas. Pag may issue bansa nila, binabaling sa mga artists nila. Lalo na pag mayaman involved or government official.

ReplyDeleteHe was even willing to do a lie detector test on the drug use. It was the leaked audio (that audio was not verified yet) that made the final blow. In the audio, he allegedly was cheating on his wife. whether this is true or not, it made him more depressed. so sad. RIP. Shame on the knetz, police and korean media.
