5:09 there is a connection. Gets? Well sorry dami kmi natatawang pinoy sa US.
I watch one of his tour here sa US. Nagulat ako kase akala ko pinoy lang karamihan ng audience, maraming , puti, african american and other Asians. They love him and his jokes.
Impromptu ka dyan haha baka sinsasbi mo is yung crowd work pero yung sa main show nakasulat yan for ex. Yung "jo koy : comin in hot" they tour these shows with the same jokes until gawin nilang special sa netflix or other streaming sites then after he will write and create new sets of jokes para i-tour ulit and make another special
11:07 I found him funny nung una. Not a fan, but I find Vice Ganda funnier kasi ang bilis ng pickup, improptu at witty ang lines. Btw, am not 9:59
Hmmmm... The hosting job was offered to big name stars but they declined like Chris Rock, Ali Wong, Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Not worth it daw yung politics. Hope JoKoy does well sa stage.
I'm curious what his material would be now that this is a different audience; Pinoy-baiting jokes won't cut it. But I wish him the best. Ricky Gervais served as the host for 5 years and he sure left big shoes to fill
1:32 lol sa Pinoy baiting. Lolng before social media nasa mainstream na sya dito sa US. He was a regular sa comedy central. Latinos and african american is able to relate to his jokes.
So called Filipino heritage?? He's half Pinoy. Everyone in the entertainment industry to some extent fame whores, Kung walang degree fame of game walang trabaho. Magisip ka muna bago ka manlait
2:51 lol . He’s been proud of his heritage since he was starting with his career in the 90’s . Wala pang social media nun. So stop me with your “fame whore” line and same din sa mga lines ng iba na Pinoy baiting. Comment ng mga jejeng pinoy na inggetera
2:53 you obviously dont know anything about it. Tumira sya sa Manila for ilang years when he was growing up. He even told the story when he was starting he was promoting his shows to Pinoys and the only people that showed up were white frat boys. No support from Pinoys. They only came when he was getting more popular.
Jokoy works hard for his money. He bought a $10 million house in upscale Las Vegas where his sister lives. We watched his show and no jokes about Filipinos.
i love him and thinks he's funny when he's not joling about filipinos. nagsasa na ako sa zfulipino jokes nya, than I saw him perform sa different audience he's actually cery funny
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler had the best time hosting golden globes in the past. I enjoyed watching the two of them roasting the nominees… remember George Clooney and Amal? 😂😂😂 Their chemistry on screen and comedic timing is always spot on. Ricky Gervais on the other hand was like your Old Tito na galit sa mundo. He’s overrated. Haha
I love Jokoy! !!
ReplyDeleteI don’t find him funny. Ako lang siguro to.
ReplyDeleteHindi ka nag-iisa, 915. I tried to watch him, hindi talaga ako matawa. Hindi ko matapos ang set nya at nakakainip tumalon from one joke to the next.
DeleteHe was novelty before. Ngayon, same jokes over and over and not funny naman.
DeleteBka kase di kayo taga States kaya di kayo maka relate…
Delete152, weh? Anong konek? Jokes nya ba made in US?
DeleteHe is unfunny to me too. He is always so sweaty and his super hyper delivery of jokes is very cringey. Like, calm down dude.
Delete5:09 there is a connection. Gets? Well sorry dami kmi natatawang pinoy sa US. DeleteSame here
DeleteLalabas na nmn mga Proud pinoy! Pinoy pride! Emee
ReplyDeleteAyyy, ang kabog!
ReplyDeleteExtremely overrated comedian
ReplyDeleteDo u know anything about Jokoy? Alam mo bang pag nasa stage sya wala syang script.
DeleteImpromptu ka dyan haha baka sinsasbi mo is yung crowd work pero yung sa main show nakasulat yan for ex. Yung "jo koy : comin in hot" they tour these shows with the same jokes until gawin nilang special sa netflix or other streaming sites then after he will write and create new sets of jokes para i-tour ulit and make another special
Delete11:07 Do you know anything about the word overrated?
DeleteWALANG ganung stand up. LAHAT me nakahandang material for the alloted time on stage.
DeleteHe worked his way up for decades. He is not an overnight success. He worked hard.
Delete11:07 you need to do your research LOL he said it himself, may writer sya
DeleteRecycling his jokes. I think scripted un. I also watched him live, medj kakadisappoint
Delete11:07 I found him funny nung una. Not a fan, but I find Vice Ganda funnier kasi ang bilis ng pickup, improptu at witty ang lines. Btw, am not 9:59
DeleteAlso, majority of his content is about his mom. You'd wonder if he'll still be able to make people laugh outside of his mom and Pinoy culture.
Delete11:07 i dont believe you
DeleteOverrated? How??
Delete11:07 he obviously has a script. It's the audience interactions that are impromptu.
Extremely na over pa, talagang ayaw mo sya no?
DeleteOh wow. Congrats and good luck!
ReplyDeleteMy Irish husband likes jokoy. Natatawa tlaga sya
ReplyDeleteMy Pinoy husband likes him too so do our Pinoy kids.
DeleteGood luck!
ReplyDeleteRicky Gervais is still my favorite host though.
I’m excited to watch!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Jokoy! Well deserved!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm... The hosting job was offered to big name stars but they declined like Chris Rock, Ali Wong, Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Not worth it daw yung politics. Hope JoKoy does well sa stage.
DeleteI'm curious what his material would be now that this is a different audience; Pinoy-baiting jokes won't cut it. But I wish him the best. Ricky Gervais served as the host for 5 years and he sure left big shoes to fill
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should watch his other shows. Obviously sa Philippines or a Pinoy crowd he will use Pinoy jokes.
Delete1:32 lol sa Pinoy baiting. Lolng before social media nasa mainstream na sya dito sa US. He was a regular sa comedy central. Latinos and african american is able to relate to his jokes.
DeleteDi ka siguro nasa social media, daming Pinoys who create Pinoy baiting content. Half Pinoy can't use his own Pinoy experience?
DeleteI agree.
DeleteMight be boring
ReplyDeleteSana Ricky Gervais ulit. Gusto ko yung no filter style niya
ReplyDeleteFame whore. Used his so-called "Filipino heritage" to expedite his career.
ReplyDeleteFame whore ka jan. At matagal syang nag put in ng work before where he is now.
DeleteHe always said Pinoys always told him that for the longest time when he can speak better Tagalog than native Pinoys who live in the Philippines.
DeleteSo called Filipino heritage?? He's half Pinoy. Everyone in the entertainment industry to some extent fame whores, Kung walang degree fame of game walang trabaho.

ReplyDelete253 Not true. Also search for interview when he was starting out and for support from Pinoy uni org and they declined.
Delete2:53 you obviously dont know anything about it. Tumira sya sa Manila for ilang years when he was growing up. He even told the story when he was starting he was promoting his shows to Pinoys and the only people that showed up were white frat boys. No support from Pinoys. Delete2:53 nahiya raw yung mga mix na umuwi sa Pilipinas para sumali sa miss Universe or mag artista or mag model or maglaro ng football para sa Pilipinas.
DeleteJokoy works hard for his money. He bought a $10 million house in upscale Las Vegas where his sister lives. We watched his show and no jokes about Filipinos.

DeleteOh wow! Nice one Jokoy!
ReplyDeletePlease jokoy! No jokes about Asians and throwing Asians under the bus just to be self-deprecating, or just to appease other races!
ReplyDeleteJosep!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Josep!!!
ReplyDeleteTina Fey and Amy Poehler had the best time hosting golden globes in the past.
DeleteNext year ikaw na pumili
Deleteyung jokes nya about nurses bentang benta noh.
ReplyDeleteGood news ito right? Bakit ang negative ng reactions dito?
ReplyDeletePinoy haters.
DeleteCongrats Josep, can’t wait to watch.
