  1. Rich foreign passport owner problems, naol!

I feel bad for them though, but they could have shown proof or dovumentation that temporary passports are allowed. Or should have consulted with the embassy in advance.

    1. 11:24 why do they need to consult? They were given temp passport so they could fly.. that’s the purpose of temporary passport.. ano un kumuha ka temp. For ID purposes?!? Pls use your common sense

      Delete
    2. They knew it was allowed, the Pal checkin manager insisted they called the embassy to verify it isnt, later they found out that the manager didnt make any call

    3. 1124 no they dont need proof. PH immigration officers should know foreign policies

Ako nga nakapasok ng ibang bansa several times with NO passport at all or visa.

    1. I work in the airline industry (not in PAL). Out of curiousity po - were you holding split tickets? (since you mentioned connecting flights). If yes, PAL is only responsible for their flights. If not, and everything is under 1 ticket (including I'm assuming other airlines?) Then yes responsibility ni PAL to rebook all flights.

      Delete
    2. true. sometimes pag nagbook ka ng flight online using search engine, they will give you options with few details lang. so you really have to check if you're booking a split ticket(which means same procedure with check-in, getting your baggage sa carousel and rechecking it again) and all). or if your connecting flights are with 2 diff airlines, most likely balik ka sa step 1

      Delete
    3. How was PAL supposed to know that you had connecting flights?

      Delete
  10. Ano yun nag power trip yung manage?

  11. Minsan yung mga nasa check in counters limited lang alam sa mga passport, visas, etc. so if you know na pwede yung visa mo, insist on it and i eelevate nila yan. My daughter has a temporary resident card sa Portugal tas hindi na recognize ng check in agent (not PAL) kaya nagtanong pa sya sa mas nakaka alam and pina check in kami after some consultations.

    1. Hindi sinabi emergency. Ang sabi temporary. So maybe may validity na 1 year din u can use it with that time frame.

      Delete
    2. 12:18 you must be thinking of emergency visas which have 1 year validity para makabalik sa home country. temporary passport po ang in question dito.

      Delete
    3. It's a 2 year validity. Canada embassy can only issue a 2 year validity passport. Pero naka travel pa din kami sa ibang bansa with that passport hindi lang para makabalik.

      Delete
    4. Same thoughts. Ang alam ko ang temporary passport is only used for emergency travel or urgrnt purpose. Highly irregular for someone to use a temporary passport for leisure travel.

34. First time to experience PAL. Yun din ang first time ko na makaexperience ng bulilyaso during flights. Never had any problems with other airlines (e.g air asia, tigerairways, cebu pac) Pagkamahal mahal ng ticket nila pero napakawalang kwenta at mga astang untouchables pa.

My family and I were bumped off with inconsistent reasons na hinde nila maipaliwanag. I travel a lot that's why I know that this has been an airline's scheme for many years. It just annoys me how much they can get away with this so easily without any repurcussions from the stress and inconveniences na dala nila sa mga customers nila compared to the way they compensate us.

  35. Can also vouch - unfortunately sobrang daming issues ng PAL for Melbourne to Manila flights. Mas reliable na nga cebupac. Pero hindi naman ok plane ng cebupac - hindi na r recline seats and lahat add on. So mag stopover nalang.

Maraming cancelled flights, pahirapan tumawag sa hotline nila, tas nung narebook na, puro wrong information - sabi bibigyan kami lounge access pero pagdating dun, di daw nila alam, tas nalaman namin dinowngrade kami from premium economy to economy (boarding pass says business) during boarding!! Sabi we will get compensation pag board, wala. Sabi pag dating ng melbourne, wala. Tas we pre ordered yung my PAL flavour meals - pag dating samin di daw nila alam. At worse, naubusan na kami ng options so vegetarian nalang.

Tas hindi lang kami during that flight ang na downgrade - marami.

Imbis na relaxed and masaya holiday, kakailanganin mo mag deal sakanila. Sobrang stressful. Naka roaming kami nito.

Masisira talaga holiday mo pag nangyari sayo ito. Kaya kami rin di na uulit sakanila. Nakaka trauma.

I know na nangyayari ang mga issues sa lahat - pero sila walang inoffer na solution, kundi sorry.

  39. 50/50 on this. What if there was a sudden change in immigration rules and there’s restriction on her daughter’s passport.

  43. Wait natin ang makabagbag-damdamin na apology from PAL. Specialty nila yan eh. Jan sila expert - mag sorry!

  44. Good riddance (hopefully) dun sa check-in manager.

  45. The very fact they already knew that the manager really did not call the embassy speaks volumes. The rich and influential have friends in high places, and it's not as if they're breaking the law or not adhering to the policies. The daughter got left behind to begin with.

If they're in the right, the manager should be ready for the consequences.

  48. I used common sense in analyzing their scenario based on what Small laid out in her vlog. So pwede naman pala na sila ang nag-validate on their own with their connections on rules for onboarding passenger using temp πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ passport. This would have been avoided if even before they got to the check in counter sila mismo they can insist with proofs of validation that a temp passport from countries like US, CN and EU is accepted for entry in JP. Ang burden of securing and ENSURING you have all the necessary and required docs for entry admission to any country is with the passenger and not with the airlines. Whether this is PAL or other airlines, the same risk of being advised that temp passport is not accepted can still happen or occur. Simply because ipinasa mo sa ibang tao ang pag-interpret nung rules and regulations na kung ikaw mismo naiintindihan mo, sigurado ka at nag-due diligence ka YOU could have insisted right to their face in that counter na they are wrong because ikaw mismo ginawa mo ang assignment/part mo to mitigate such scenario from happening. Using temp passport always has risks attached to it. Happy New Year mga ka-Marites!

    3. Yes, absolutely agree with this. Always make sure to bring dupporting documents when using something that is not the norm. In this case, a temporary passport.

  50. I remember last year while we were in Manila. I received an email from PAL telling me they moved our returned flight to a month dahil checking maintenance daw. aalis na dapat kami nun in a week, syempre galit ako at kinausap ko ang PAL.
