Ang ganda ng concepts and ideas, for me she stood out kse very unique and ganda ng representation nya sa Philippines. After Cat, sa knya ko uli nafeel ung pride. Congrats MMD.

Agree. Very firm sya sa choices nya, sinigurado nyang every choices she made for the competition hindi lang maganda kundi unique, creative, a representation of Ph, and also something personal. Pinag-isipan at may puso. I have so much respect for how she really worked to raise our flag. Sobra. Kaya masakit na nalaglag sa top 5 kasi we really saw she was outstanding. Not that Nicaragua didn't deserve it. But MMD deserved better. Baka nga she's ahead of her time. Pero grabe, bihira tayong makakuha ng representative as bold and unique and unapologetically authentic as her. Sayang pa't di narinig ng mundo kung paano sya magsalita. She would've nailed it. I wish her all the best. And to Ms. Melanie, naku she must be very, very proud!
minsan talaga, kahit deserving ka, di ka pa rin papalarin. not saying mmd should win but she deserved a top 5 or top 3 placement. di nga ako fan ng babaeng 'to when she first joined muph but saw her evolved. sold out na ako when she won muph the second time around.
She’s so different from our previous candidate. Ramdam mo yung puso and yung passion talaga to raise our flag, not just for personal win. Galing! You still made us proud! And also to us, you deserve a higher placement but more than anything else, she showed grace and humility, walang iyakan in public, nothing… coz she knows she did her best and she’s genuinely happy for others’ win! A true queen!
She was burning hot 🔥 in the swimsuit portion. For the first time, I saw a little bit of Melanie Marquez fierceness in her swimsuit performance. Her black gown was gorgeous. She looked tensed during her evening gown performance though. Congrats, nakabalik PH sa top 10 👏

Hindi ko siya ookrayin like what I did dun sa mga nakaraang delegate naten na clappers. Obvious kay Michelle na nilaban niya talaga unlike yung mga nakaraang malalamya ang performance.
11:33 nasa showbiz na siya bago pa mag pageant 5:49 matagal na rin siya may advocacy Wala pa man siya sa pageant industry. Research muna bago judgement. Hahahaha
1. She came back to the Ohilipoones when she was 15 years old and volunteered sa foundation ng lola nya and eversince aware na sya sa autism kaya matagal na syang may advocacy. Matagal na sya sa showbiz yung latest role nya sa Mga Lihim ni Urduja na si Freya sa GMA ay tumatak sa mga fans. And yes tapos na ang pageant contest, pwro may fashion week palagi and surely maraming kukuha sa kanya and will genersye a media value in millions. In a matter of days naka 1 million followers na sya sa instagram. There!
MMD did deliver and understood her mission in joining MU. Could it be the color of her gown since it's black? Imagine, if crowning moment, black gown, all of the top 3 were on nude colors.. hmm, napaisip din ako if the color of the gown affected the chance of her winning, kayo ba?
Naisip ko rin yan. Parang di pa prepared mga judges sa black gown the reason why she wasn't included in top5. But bet ko yung gown nya cz it's unique. After year ls of watching MU, paulit-ulit nlng kasi yung nude/gold/silver gown. Guess ngayon lang nakakita yung ibang judges.
IMHO, we always come in strong from the faces of the delegates that we send in for MU, the communication skills, gowns and preparation - we always show them how ready we are kaya it's has always been a threat for the others that PH could "always be" the next if mapasali sa top 5 after Catriona. What if we become lowkey and send in a dark horse? the more we become ready, the more the crown gets harder to get..
with this, we gave Thailand a chance to be more prepared and be competitive after Catriona's time, way back, Thailand never gets serious in sending in their bets (typical Thai beauty who doesnt know how to speak English and always needs an interpreter), tayo din ang nag inspire for Thai to be more ready cos PH always come in ready. Hays, Thailand already knew the strategy, kaya for this year, the 1st runner up doesnt look like like a Thai at all and could speak English very well..
I like Michelle at sobrang nakakahinayang kase ilang taon ka na naman makakakita ng ganyan na naturally smart. Very workable ang pagkukulang nya na hair, makeup at gown which naungusan sya ng tatlo na finalists sa kanilang tried and tested Miss Universe look. Flowing hair, glowing makeup at gown with homage to femininity at hindi extension sa isang personality na naging extension ng national costume. Deserve naman ng tatlo. Yucky pinoy mentality pag talo. walang mananalonsa ganyang gown na madilim mukhang stiff may mga kanto at matigas.
If only she had long and wavy hair. I think she would have made a more visual impact 😌 Nonetheless, top 10 is already a feat to beat. Hold your head high!

Ms. Universe Vietnam 2018 na co finalist ni Cat, solid advocacy plus ganda ng story ng buhay niya. Kung nasagot niya ng maayos tanong for sure ligwak ganern si Cat. Crowd favorite rin si Vietnam pati hosts bet siya kasi oozing with confidence. Short hair siya.
Unpopular opinion. She deserves to be on top 2 if it's Next Top Model competition. But for Miss Universe, NOPE. Yung style and angas niya is not queenly, more on pang-model.

MMD looks like suplada when you look at her pictures and videos. Pero opposite yun sa tunay na buhay. She's very friendly to all staff, fans, co candidates and to everyone.. She has a good heart. Melanie raised her well!
