  1. Same sentiment. Elephants are herd animal, they cant be alone. Zoos are not compatible in third world countries.

    1. True. Hope people should learn more about wildlife rehabilitation and donate any amount to help NGOs in the rescue of animals.

Check out SAVE THE ASIAN ELEPHANTS, WILDLIFE SOS, SHELDRICK WILDLIFE, to name a few. 🐘

    2. Truly!

    3. Tama naman. My gosh. So backward naman. ANIMAL CRUELTY Yan. And I googled na elephants especially female are social beings. Tapos isolation ang hanash nitong Manila zoo. Boycott dapat yan

    4. he’s right. kawawa nga si Mali all these years nakakulong MAG ISA hindi na nakalabas dun. stop this SHT

    5. I stopped going to zoos as well. I understand it's for the kids, but all the more na these places should stop operating for the future generations to learn how to value them. That zoo in Tagaytay, omg it's so infuriating. After I went there years ago never na ko nagpunta sa zoo ulit. I only visit animal sanctuaries. The Philippine Eagle sanctuary in Davao is one of those places na we need to support.

Same sa ocean parks.

Sa SG, may nanganak na panda after so many years! Sa Japan, sanctuary as in ang laki laki ng space! May research pa to increase coral formations sa nearby oceans. Sa AU, may koala sanctuary after the forest fires, crocodile and wildlife awareness.

Hanggang international celebrities at orgs nakikiusap.

    4. Hey, careful with your words. We sent our voice out there to every zoo in the world but, rich people and investor gets to decide their business open. I stopped going to the zoo since my toddler was a year old. I felt so sorry for those beautiful animals who has good heart than human. I am with Mr. John here.

    5. Di rin. Matagal nang maraming gusto magpalaya kay Mali. Umabot pa nga sa international community. But ending the City of Manila still had the final say and stay lang si Mali sa zoo.

    6. Hello! There were already plans to move Mali into a sanctuary paid for by private and non-government organizations.

Kaso nga hindi na approve noon for valid reasons (I think) Kaya sana wag nalang kumuha ng new elephant.

    9. Remember Pam Anderson when she arrived in Manila?

"Who do I have to f**k to free Mali?"

    10. Boom!

Wala ka kasing alam day. Wag puro Tiktok ha

  4. Yes! Visit and support sanctuaries instead of zoos.
If you don’t know the differences between sanctuaries and zoos, all you need to do is google it.

But I do believe in action speaks louder than words. And these animals, they can give love unconditionally. Lahat may kapalit.

What more sa manila zoo, mas maliit yung place na yun.

    1. Sa baluarte maayos ang mga animals duon as in ang laki ng property, well fed pa

  7. I completely agree! I could sense the sadness in Mali. It was yet another thing we needed to numb ourselves to or else mastress lang tayo. Sa bansa natin, sa daming kalokohan and kasamaan and kabaluktutan, you just learn to numb yourself as a trauma response.

  8. Grabe no kaya siguro nagkasakit si Mali sa puso kasi sobrang lungkot niya while being alone in the zoo for the longest time :(

    ReplyDelete
  9. Tama.

  11. Kapal ng feyz to ask Sri Lanka to donate another elephant! As if naman elephant paradise or a better home ang paglilipatan.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Super AGREE! HENERAL!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  15. People will pay more money if the mayor was in those cages

    1. 1:56 AM - Agree. And we all know where to go if we want to see the hungry crocodiles - wala sila sa Zoo or any farm.

    ReplyDelete
  17. If we dont have the facilities to ensure the animal's well being, sana wag na lang. Remember yung mga giraffes na inimport noon na kawawa yung living conditions, not to mention yung mga taong nadisplace to build that zoo.

    ReplyDelete
  18. If Manila is gonna do this, then make it like a safari and get 5 elephants for an herd. An Elephant safari, put it out of Manila, on the outskirts, a huge area where they can roam, conditions like the jungles of Sri lanka. People will pay to visit and feed the animals but only in way points, like in Germany and in Singapore. No longer will the suffering like that of Mali be tolerated. Even elephants do not desrve to be that lonely. If Manila can't do this, forget it.

  19. I agree with him.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yuck! How are people ok with abusing these creatures. I feel sick thinking about the condition she had to endured her entire life in this zoo.

    ReplyDelete
  22. THIS! LOUDER PLEASE!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Kaya nga. Kahit ako, I remember seeing Mali and nakaka awa naman talaga.

  24. pre.. go into politics! you're such an act.

  25. Lumaki akong hindi nakakakita ng kangaroo so no need to get elephant naaaa. Animals suffer 😔

    ReplyDelete
  27. Mali was enough! Stop abusing animals especially those who are suppose to be living in the wild not in captivity

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  29. siguro mas OK if 2 animals - male & female para hindi lonely (pero kapon both para hindi dumami)

Let them stay in their natural habitats and sanctuaries.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  31. Mali died not only of old age, sickness but depression too. Look closely into the eyes of these animals, are you certain they're happy being in an enclosure? Manila's mayor is obviously not an animal lover

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sa totoo lang nakakaawa talaga mga animals sa zoo, yung makita mo nakakulong sila at hindi malaya na supposed to be nasa habitat sila. Go to the sanctuaries instead mas malaya sila dun at supported ng big companies at pwede pa mag donate sa mga animals.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree with you totally, Mr. Arcilla. Elephants are social animals. they belong to herds. They do not belong in cages. They should run free in their natural habitat with their families.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Watch ninyo An Apology to Elephants. An eye opener on what society subject animals throughout the years. Nakakaiyak and it made me not support any establishment ginagawang entertainment or tourist fodder ang animals.
