Lol, napanood mo ba The Road at Alaala Martial Law Special ni Alden? Napakagaling nya dun. Tapos Best Actor din sya for EB Kapatid Lenten Special at Ilustrado. At nanlalamon din actingan nya sa Five Break Ups and a Romance.
Marami nang Best Actor awards si Alden. May International Awards din sya. Feeling ko nga hahakot yan ng acting awards dahil sa performance nya sa Magpakailan Man at sa movie nila ni Julia Montes. Ang galing nya dun tagisan sila ni Julia Montes sa galing sa actingan.
Yan din sasabihin ko. Lakas ng loob mag direct, e di nga nya maayos sariling acting nya. Please lang noh wag nyo idefend na magaling cya. lol nanggamit ka pa ng legends. pero sana inisip mo din na at some point in the lives of those names na sinabi mo, they also started as nobody sa industry and had to start with something, yun ang nagbigay sa kanila ng experience and wisdom to be the legends they are. kaya wag mo maliitin ang isang pangarap ng isang tao, let them do their dreams for who knows, yan ang start of something great for them.
Why limit someone’s capabilities? Isa pa paano mo naman nasabi na walang training o education si Alden bago siya magdirect? Dapat ba ipasa muna yung resume at certificate sayo? Sino ka ba?
One can learn from experiences & train on-site . At marami sya non. Dream nya to work behind the camera kaya very observant at matanong sa co-workers off-cam. Film naman nya yan so kanya rin ang impact at seems limited ang intended viewers. If na-excite at gusto nya pa rin i-pursue, then mag-aral yan ng filmmaking. By then, he already has knowledge and knows what questions to ask.
Do not belittle someone's passion. Good to see Alden stepping out of his comfort zone. I saw something in him dun pa lang sa Hello Love Goodbye. Best of luck Alden. Ignore the naysayers.
