I dont think may issue between Rico, Mark, Nathan and Bamboo in fact nagkaroon na ng mini reunion nung 2016 sa 19East. Everyone was there except Bamboo who had a prior commitment sa US. Siguro sa side na ng concert producer yan kung bakit hindi sya sinama. Pero kung time sa band lang pinaguusapan, si Mike Elgar ang 2nd longest serving band member ng maya since 2001 after Mark E. Perf joined Maya sa unang album lang and left before Trip album was made. R, M, N and B had 3 albums together (5 if you will count the remixed album and Its Not Easy Being Green album which had to be re-recorded with Rico on vox since umalis na si Bamboo before marelease yung album.
214 si Bamboo yun. You'll Be Safe puwede naman kantahin ni Rico at back-up si Bamboo. It will be great if Bamboo will sing a version of it at the reunion concert.
Si Perf pa naman ang pinaka malupit when it comes to guitar solos in RM’s songs from their first album. But nung binuo ang naman ang RM, nagulat talaga ako na napasama si Perf sa kanila since yung music and mga ka-group ni Perf sa music industry that time is yung Razorback, Wolfgang. Rock kung rock talaga then biglang nasa band na siya which was managed by Chito Roño/Liza Nakpil and was perceived to be “showbiz”.A far cry from the music he would usually play.
Hindi cguro sinama si perf sa lineup nung concert producer. Yan reason bakit alangan si bamboo sa reunion concert kasi sobrang daming members na ang nagdaan sa rivermaya.
I always felt Mike Elgar was underutilized sa RM. Ang galing nya na guitarist but their songs never showcased his talent. He stayed with them though. Maybe un din issue ni Perf kaya 1 album lang sya with RM, he felt underutilized and wanted to do more.
