    1. Tama. Gosh imagine un effect nung mga hininga at pawis sa hangin at sa painting. All for the CLOUT na ba ngayon. It's a historical masterpiece ano pa ba ang kelangan ipromote diyan. Spolarium itself is a promotion. Nakakapagtaka how they were allowed to do it there.

    2. Huwag kasi basta gayahin ang Yoga at the Museum abroad. 😅

    3. 12:25 exactly yan ang unang worry ko other than moral implications. 😢

  2. Feeling ko hindi yan yung tunay na painting but a replica. The real one is hidden somewhere I guess so no need for making a fuss.

    1. Hahhaaha we said the same thing way back ng friend ko. Replica lang yan.

    2. This is correct.

      Delete
    4. so what if mali ang feeling mo?

    5. Replica or not, it's still sets a precedence on what can people actually do or how they behave around important cultural artifacts

      Delete
    7. Doesn't matter. That's not the point. You shouldn't be doing sweaty yoga in a museum where priceless artworks, artifacts and other priceless objects are housed.

  3. So why the hate? Yan mahirap sa pinoy, kapag ginawa ng isa kahit mali gagawin din ng iba because “why the hate”. No wonder we’re not moving forward

  4. I'll bet my lifetime savings, most if not all na tumatalak hindi naman araw araw bumibisita sa museum nor exerted any effort to preserve national masterpieces. In short, mema lang.

Spoliarium is one of the most famous and important painting ng ating bansa and ating kasaysayan. Hndi porket hndi lagi binibisita means walang kwenta na sya. Matuto k nman mag appreciate and ipreserve ito. Wag kang enabler ng violator ng art and history ng ating bansa. K. Tnx. Bye

  8. I wouldn’t be comfortable doing yoga in front of Spolarium.

  9. Sa totoo lang, these yoga Betties are so unsightly. Naglipana kung saan-saan, and their demeanor is anything but calm or calming. They’re on these invisible high horses. Sa bahay nyo nga gawin yan! Kairita.

People should be allowed to exercise in appropriate public spaces with fresh air, hindi yung nakakulong lang sa bahay.

      Delete

      Delete
    4. 11:32 so bakit yoga lang ang pangit out of all exercises, aber? Prejudice yan?

      Delete

  10. Doesn’t matter if it’s a replica or not. Do they even know what the Spolarium represents in Philippine history? Most probably not kasi simple common sense will tell you it’s not the lighthearted kind of art to do yoga in.

  11. NAKAKA DEPRESS ANG DEPICTION NG SPOLIARIUM BAT DYAN MAGYO YOGA!!! ANG LAKAS NYAN NAKAKUHA NG PERMIT HIGPIT KAYA DYAN

  12. Haaay eto na naman tayo… creating issues out of unimportant things. Kaya di tayo umasenso e, lagi tayong distracted, lahat pinoproblema natin, kaya lagi tayong nalilihis palayo sa mga importanteng diskusyon. We should ask ourselves if uunlad ba tayo kapag pinagtalunan natin to? If not, ignore!

"Kaya di tayo umaasenso kasi lagi tayong distracted"? Ha? Other people can multi-task ano po...we can shame these yoga Karens and question crucial issues like the confidential funds simultaneously

      Delete
    2. It could be "small" compared to much bigger governmental issues but if we turn a blind eye, this disrespect could easily damage our cultural heritage. If you know what I mean.

    3. Huy preserving culture and history are just as important of tackling present issues. The fact na sinabi mong “unimportant” ang matter na ‘to says a lot about you. Spoliarium perfectly reminds us of the carnage that happened in the past. May say say naman ‘to.

      Delete
    4. you just don't get it.

      Delete
    5. Actually it's people like you kaya di tayo umaasenso. A mind that values history and art will definitely be bothered by this. If you look at countries that are more progressive, malaki ang respeto at pagpapahalaga sa mga ganitong bagay. Definitely not a place to do yoga in.

    3. 11:45 hndi, dhil maiinit and mausok, but malaki ang Luneta. Theres a lot of space. Theres certain part there provides shades and privacy. So better ang Luneta than a Museum na close and cold. Pati nagpapapawis ka, so i dont really understand bkit pipiliin nila ang Museum when mas maganda nman sa gym dhil may suitable ang ventilation sa gym than museum for sweat and moisture. Shrug emoji

  22. Some prominent museums around the world also offer yoga at the museum tho. Maybe they just want to offer something different and attract new demographics since it’s Museums and Galleries Month. Why so hostile agad? People nowadays are so easily triggered and so emotionally reactive. Choose your battle.

    1. 3:55 baka may protective casing at climate controlled yung mga museum na yon, plus with full time restorers that will clean and maintain the artworks.

  23. yes, yoga has its benefits... but why in a museum? does the museum amplifies the benefits of yoga? how will the museum benefit from such activity? will it enhance the paintings?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Alam nyo pa sakanila! The fact na pinayagan sila ng mismong museum na mas alam kung makakabuti ba ito sa painting or hindi. Jusko, tirahin nyo yung museum officials na nagbigay ng permit wag yung nag pa yoga! Lahat nalang issue jan

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anong pauso yan? I agree sa isang comment n kung young artist nlng nag paint jan mas may sense pa

    ReplyDelete
Hindi niya gets yung humidity bit and its impact on the painting. Vinyasa pa yung class niya. Hindi simpleng meditation or stretching class. Vinyasa is very dynamic. Tatagaktak talaga ang pawis mo. Trying to deflect the issue by citing “bias” and “Korean”. Maling-mali.

  27. What the painting depicts is disturbing and you chose to do yoga in front of it? Duh 🙄 😒

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yung mga nag-isip, gumawa, sumakay at ok lang sa kalokohan na ito ay hindi alam essence ng mga painting sa museum, specifically the Spolarium and what it depicts, and yoga. Really, kaya mo mag breathing, relax, spiritual eme sa harap ng priceless oil painting na napaka dark and gloomy (literally and figyratively)?

    ReplyDelete
  30. kayong mga nag-yoga dyan, kasama na yun yoga instructor at museum officials: MULTUHUN SANA KAYO NI JUAN LUNA!!!

    ReplyDelete

I promote na lang siguro in another way altho I should have shut up kasi wala din lang akong maisip na magandang suggestion.

Maybe adverts na lang on social media perhaps or sa mga schools manghikayat? I dunnow..

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hahaha anong next magzumba? nyak!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sobrang mema ng yoga class na ito. If you want to get the full benefits of yoga, it's best to do it outdoors with lots of trees surrounding the entire class. Wew

    ReplyDelete
  36. That is a replica. The original is "hidden" elsewhere by a certain family for safekeeping lol

    ReplyDelete
  37. Other museums have been doing this for years. Brooklyn Museum and Rubin Museum of Art in New York, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, deCordova sculpture park in Massachusetts, Italian National Trust. The Brooklyn Museum even had it for 300 people at least once.

It’s evident that The National Museum approved and endorsed this activity. They would be the experts on what kind of activities would adversely affect the art work.
