ReplyDeleteWhen I was new here in canada, dami mga christian groups na nag iinvite sa akin to attend their service and worship. To the point na mauubos oras mo sa service and worship kasi 2 hrs. Di naman ako makaalis nun kasi wala akong car at sila lang sasabayan ko pauwi, at malayo sa bus stop, at kapos budget kasi bago lang.

Ewan ko ba san galing ang pastora na pinapauso porke babae ang speakers. Pwede naman gamitin ang term na speaker sa babae papauso pa ng pastora. Sa pagtanggap pa lang ng tawag sa kanila, maling mali na. How much more sa mga tinuturo nila.

This is a huge challenge para sa ating mga tao talaga. In fairness na din kay pastora, she is also a work in progress. Pero sana she be careful of what comes out of her mouth. Yung naiiisip naten na hindi maganda sa ibang tao hnd naman magiging kasalanan yan, until lumabas na yan sa bibig naten.

I attended a similar church when I was growing up. Puro tithes bukambibig nung mga pastor. Every Sunday tungkol sa pagiging mas mayaman yung preaching. I left when I was old enough to make my own choices. I transferred to a relatively bigger Church with my Ate, mas naging okay for us.

DeleteMismo! Look at these private Catholic schools ang mamahal! Only the those who can afford ang binibigyan ni Lord ng chance na mag aral sa magandang school. If you are less privileged magtiis ka sa mainit na classroom at mag hati hati kayo ng books.

DeleteIt's best not to have any religion at all. Just like most Japanese who don't identify with any religion, they have the freedom to practice ceremonies from different religions. They don't believe in God, but they respect nature greatly.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I went through this and it was quite a journey. Searched for what’s best for me from Catholic to “Christian” to Baptist to Buddhism etc until I felt peace just not having one.

ReplyDeleteI remember when a Christian approached me one time, he asked, do you believe Jesus loves you? I think he fully expected me to say no. So he can convince me otherwise. I said yes, i'm Catholic that's why. No more questions after that.

ReplyDeleteMay experience din kami sa isang Pinoy Pastor dito sa San Diego area na hindi naman kami kakilala personally eh ang dami dami sinasabi just because galit sa amin yung isang member nila at kinakampihan nya. Hindi naman about faith and Christianity ang issue but he made it about that. Kesyo di daw kami maliligtas. Minsan talaga yung ibang pinoy hindi lang sa dugo dugo gang nabubudol eh. Pati sa mga pastor pastoran.
ReplyDeleteKaya ayaw na ayaw ko sumama sa mga religious groups eh. Harrassment and money lang ang kalakaran dito. I remember my friend na hinaharrass and kinocornered ng mga kasamahan nila sa church like sisiraan daw ang business nila and pamilya nila if theyre unable to follow what they demand (including money aka donation).
ReplyDeleteTpos another one is hinaharrass naman ang another friend ko ng angkan nya na religious people (ung uncle nya pa ay may pwesto sa church nila) for being gay. Worse is that kay friend pa sila nakadepende ng pang araw araw nila. Slave ang turing sa friend ko
My experience nman is nabubully din ako for being to feminine for the society (Im Bi). Binabato ako ng blackboard eraser, ng notebook, etc nung HS ako. Nag aaral ako nito sa isang Catholic school. Kaya since then, iwas ako sumama sa mga religious peeps. Nasama naman s mga close friends ko nung college n ako but I didnt really join their church or talk to anyone there except kay close college friend ko.
Trauma lang ang dala ng mga religious groups. I still believe in God but I just it to myself.
