    3. I'm a mom w/4 kids but I love them, lalo na yung kanta nilang MAPA
if you watch their videos, especially their leader , Pablo, these guys went through a lot and they deserve to have a break in the global music scene.
They dream big kasi they said they want to contribute to the economy of Philippines through culture and arts.
Gaya sa South Korea, dinadayo pa talaga para umatend ng concert ng Blackpink at BTS, they want the same thing to happen. And as a person who's interested in finance and economy, I like their long-term goals regarding their career.

Even ordinary people nagpaparetoke. Even nga mga simpleng blogger o content creator kuno. Not to mention na mga artist natin sa Pinas e retokada. Why not improve yourself if you have the money. They are not asking you to pay for it anyway.

      Delete
    3. 4:36 improvement ba maging retokado. Your colonial mentality is showing.

      Delete
    4. Whats wrong with being retokado? Wag maiingit if wala kang pampaayos sa mukha o katawan mo.

  5. It's SB19's time. They have the talent and determination.

  8. infairness, they really did break the norm and raised the standard for philippine music, production, music video, live performance, fashion, etc. nakakasawa narin yung traditional opm biritan, banda-banda, hugot songs. they even sing better live, compared to kpops na parang lipsync or autotuned. Kudos to these boys! other than the old-charice, sila palang nakikita ko na pang-international

    1. I won't argue with your comment. Like UDD and yung ex-frontwoman nila, si Armi Millare

      Delete
    2. Hmmm very KPOP naman kasi.. mas naaappreciate ko pa ung mga banda like Lola Amour (kumanta ng Raining in Manila), IV of Spades and Juan Karlos.

      Delete
    3. @12:22 kpop itself was inspired by jpop. So di pag aari ng koreans yang genre na yan.

      Delete
    4. 1222 magkaibang po kasi ang genre. KPOP is POP... Same with PPOP, JPOP, CPOP, APOP.. Kaya magkakatunog tlaga. The bands you mentioned were from diff genre. We have hip hop, jazz, rock, reggae etc.

      Delete
    5. 12:22 They're breaking out of it.

      Delete
    6. 11:50 well to us fans of OPM rock hindi naman sila nakakasawa. Every genre has its place. Peace✌️

      Delete
    7. 12:22 nung nagstart sila yes very Kpop kasi under sila ng Korean company. Kaya pinattern sila.

    3. May songs sila na hindi maingay. Fave ko ang Hanggang sa Huli.

      Delete
    4. 11:55 My toddler loves it. My hubby and I enjoy listening to Gento din. Di mo lang bet siguro. I never like parties pero gusto ko songs na nakakapagpasayaw sakin (sa isip ko haha)

      Delete
    5. 100 Fave ko din un Hanggang sa Huli.

      Delete
Kaloka @12:19 parang ikaw yata yung hypocrite.

      Delete
    7. 11:55 just say it's just not your cup of tea. It's a noise for you butusic to others and its the other way around.

      Delete

Iykyk

    11. You haven't tried to listen to their other songs - I want you, hanggang sa huli, mapa, etc.

      Delete
    12. Yes, ang noisy talaga ng gento at mapa for me.

      Delete
    13. They do other genres. Actually ballad talaga forte nila. Magaling sila mag harmonize.

      Delete
    14. Try their ballad songs. Saka pa state po if ano yung song nila na maingay, baka upbeat. Nasa 40s na ako and after I have watched them live sa concert nila. Na appreciate ko na sila. Catchy ang words, napagoogle pa ako. And yung boses nila may kanya kanyang character.

      Delete
    15. Di ka pinipilit. 🙄 dun ka sa mga like mo..

      Delete
    16. good for you 12:13 ,pero kung naiingayan kame wala na kayo magagwa don. kanya kanyang preference yan parang food lang aquired taste lang yan. di pasok sa panlasa namen eh so ano gagawin? im sure di din pasok sa panlasa nyo kpop so kanya kanya tayo opinyon.

    2. Not a kpop fan and i tried to listen to their music pero no talaga for me kahit ung ballads nila its too melodramatic. and maingay ung upbeat songs. but they're very talented and magagaling kumanta. not my cup of tea lang talaga ung music nila , pero ako lang naman un - oh and im not 12:34

      Delete
    3. @12:51 This! Ganyan dapat. Wala namang pilitan.

      Delete
    4. Not 1243 but at first di din ako fan ng music nila. But after watching their performances, di sila nagllip sync. Unlike KPOP and other ppop groups na di live ang kanta.

      Delete
    5. not all kpop groups di naglalive. thats a general misconception coming from a person na di exposed sa kpop. kpop industry has great singers na malawak ang musicality. hindi ung pabirit birit basta or ung aabot ngwhistle at highnote ni regine v. ayun ang considered na magagaling dto sa pinas ung kontesera putol litid birit.

      Delete
  14. congrats Mahalima! let's make some noise pa sa X kasi this is just an approved entry not the real nomination. Ppop Kings SB19!!!

  15. May composer sila at choreogtapher sa grupo nila diba? Tas my creative directo din sila sa grupo nila. Wow

      Delete
    2. Their leader John Paulo "PABLO" Nase wrote 98% of their songs.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. 144, SB19 group was formed by Korean company named ShowBT. Kaya SB19 ang name, and also reason why yung mga kanta nila dati mala-Korean ang arrangement. They were performing at Korea pa nga dati nung di pa sila sikat. Kaya yung influence ng Korean culture e nasa kanila. But last 2021 nung umalis sila sa SHOWBT ay unti unti sila nagtayo sila ng sarili ng company - 1Z entertainment. Yes, they are the owner. Now, they have the freedom to do their own music, their own style. Though Pablo is the one who's writing all their music, he is also the co-producer (with his brother Josue).

    6. Leadership isn't just a K-pop thing! It's been ingrained in us since our younger days. Just think back to your school days when you formed a group for a project, someone had to step up or be assigned as the leader.

Having a leader in groups is not exclusive to K-pop! Which cave you been hiding in if you think otherwise? It's a universal concept that's been around forever!

      Delete
    7. 643 it’s a kpop thing wag kang ano jan.

  16. Not a fan of them before.

Maybe nung starting p lng sila they were kpop-inspired coz korean company ngmanage s knila nd korean din ng produce ng songs but starting nung song nila n WHAT, they've been writing and producing/co-producing their own songs. If u listen to their songs from WHAT era hanggang ngayon pinoy n pinoy tlaga. They've built their own company n rin and self-managed n rin sila. I'm proud of their growth!

    1. "Pinoy na pinoy" girl, have you seen them?

      Delete
    2. they are heavily influenced by kpop wag na ideny yun, until now ganun ang branding nila. they sing in both tagalog and english but how they present themselves is very korean inspired. Outfits, make up, hairstyle. their contents, interviews is very k-idol variety show inspired. may fanservice pa nga cla dahil may shippers din ang members nla just like the k-idols. Fans nga ang tawag pa sa new release na song nila is "comeback", thats a kpop term. sa kpop industry nanggaling yun. Some are even calling the youngest member " maknae" like what was that?? kung hindi pa kpop branding yan then i dont know what is. Wala naman masama don pero sana iacknowledge na lang nila na yeah they were very influenced by kpop kesa ideny ng ideny kase kitang kita naman.

      Delete
    3. @ 8:12 yes pinoy na pinoy cla. Have you heard them sing? have you heard Pablo's La Luna, Kumunoy or ??? ughh, I have to stop here, I don't want to convince people to like them. I was like that before, I hate them, actually disgusted by them but now, grabe, head over heels fan talaga ako, not because of VISUALS ha, they are not the most attractive group out there but because of their talent wala kang masasabi talaga as in.. grabe

      Delete
    4. eh di good for you at gusto mo sila. yeah dont convince people na lang to like them and ako yes i heard them sing, i watched their videos i listened to their songs out of curiosity, esp yung ballads dahil i cant stand their hyped up songs. pero no talaga e. pass.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hahaha congrats agad? Wait nyo pag nasama sa nomination. May botohan po yan

    ReplyDelete
  21. Well w8 natin next month sa announcement ng grammy nominations if short listed sila.. Manominate cla is an achievement itself.. Sa ngayun wishful thinking muna

    ReplyDelete
  22. I am just happy for them because I know they worked and sacrificed a lot to get where they are now. They deserve to be appreciated for their craft and for who they are: Filipino artists.

    ReplyDelete
  23. May daughter is a BTS fan. Sabi nya super galing din daw ng SB19 kaya lng if newbie ka and di mo sila kilala, pang k pop tlaga iyong dating nila. She hopes na sana may something in them na kahit newbie, u can tell they’re p-pop na ma separate sana sa k-pop. Kasi for now tlaga, they sound like k-pop.

    ReplyDelete
Oh well.

But now, their make up artist is mac igarta (mua of james reid and catriona) sa close up photos mukang natural looking na, hindi na makapal. And nag-improve din kasi skin nila, so di na siguro kailangan takpan ng makapal ng foundation

    1. Sikat kc ang kpop globally. Kaya ginagaya ng sb19. Kase yun lang tanging way na mapapansin cla, yeah they're talented pero it takes more than talent para ka mapansin at umangat. need mo ng matinding charisma sa tao. talent + charisma + looks yan ganyan. aminin na naten kulang sa charm at looks ang sb19 kaya nga nagmmuka clang trying hard kc pati pagkkulay ng buhok ginaya na. kung d kc nila un gagawin, d cla mapapansin. kaya nga mrmi nacurious sa kanila eh dahil sa pa-eme nilang ganun. bad publicity is still publicity.

      Delete
    2. , I understand na di kayo fan. But as a normal na tao at di artist, nagkukulay din ako ng buhok bec that's me. Yeng is doing the same, as well as K tandingan. Before magself manage ang SB19, Korean company naman talaga sila. Korean na mga tao ang nagtrain sa kanila for years, at napunta sila sa Korea to perform for them nung di pa sila sikat. They value Korean culture kasi kung wala ang SHOWBT, walang SB19

      Delete
    3. For me pablo, josh and ken looks real pinoy. ken retained his moreno look kita naman sa skin nya. justin kasi is naturally singkit kaya napapagkamalan korean

    2. Di naman lahat ng Atin ganun. I know fan ka ng Hori7on o BGYO na mga Korean company din.

      Delete

    4. 1:26 not Atin. But being considered possible nominated is something to be proud of, so let them be. mayabang ba kung mag-congrats lang? i'm a 90's baby fan of bsb, nsync, britney, christina, usher. di siguro magiging same level ng fame of these artists, but sb19 has potential to be recognized worldwide along with these artists.

      Delete
    5. being proud sa achievement is different from being mahangin. they are literally trashing and dragging the names of other musicians just so they can call their idols superior and better than everyone. Buti sana kung proud sa avhievement, but no. lalo sa FB, bigla bigla na lang magmemention ng other artists na wala naman kinalaman at sasabihin na oh kita nyo na mas magaling pa sb19 kay gnito ganyan kaya dapat talaga manalo sa grammys. like wtf

      Delete
  29. At this point, ang mahalaga may mga taong nakaka appreciate ng music at talent nila, kung hnd man sa pinas at least sa ibang bansa. At ang importante, solid ang A'tin in spite of the hatred thrown both to the artist and the supporters. PADAYON! 💙💠🔥

  30. I’m a new fan of SB19 and magaling talaga sila di lang sa Gento. I’m one of those who didn’t like them before (though I never bashed them). They’ve improved a lot in terms of music/mv production quality and they have real passion, talent, the right IQ and EQ for them to achieve their vision. I’m also amazed that despite no big and influential company behind them they managed to achieve a lot as a group and solo.

  32. Best of luck SB. Lahat ng kanta nila walang tapon. My faves are Liham, Mapa and Mana.

  33. Juliet Lyons who is a member of the voting academy is a true bloodied A'tin, sana she can lobbied Gento to be nominated, and she has friends also who are member of the academy.

  34. Good for sb19. Di ako affected sa kanila. I tried to listen to them but they're not my cup of tea kaya pass ako. But their ubod ng yabang na fans make it hard to support the band. Stop acting like sb19 is God's gift to OPM.

Iba ang panlasa ng karamihan ng pinoy. Hindi superior ang taste niyo for stanning sb19. Sa totoo lang, ang jeje ng dating nila for me, but I don't go tweeting that all the time. I'm sure hindi lang ako nag-iisa na ganyan ang opinion so stop sh*tting on other OPM bands on singers.

  36. I like some of SB19 songs and Stell is funny. But let’s be honest, their vibe is Kpop. It’s very Kpop to have a name for your fans. From their hair to their fashion sense, they are heavily influenced by it. Visual, i.e., how people look, makes a huge percentage on impression. So until they break away from it, their fans should learn to accept such comments and not be too arrogant to deny it.

    1. 12:46 western artists have names for fandoms as well.
      Lady gaga - little monsters
      Taylor Swift - Swifties
      Justin Beiber - Beliebers
      One Direction - Directioners
      Beyonce - bee hive
yes, they were handled by korean company before thus the references. But they are trying to break away from the kpop influence now and promote Philippine music and culture.

      Delete
    2. Are they really trying to break away? idts. Kung hindi sila nagmala k-pop they wont be noticed. And up until today they have the same branding. I agree with 12:46, visuals, fashion sense and everything else so please utang na loob tigilan nyo na , ginagaslight nyo na lang sarili nyo na pure pinoy ang branding nila kahit obv na kitang kita na they patterned their image sa kpop idols. jusko. they used kpop as a means para mapansin cla. which nag succeed naman so be thankful na known globally at sobrang trendy ng kpop groups kaya may nagaya sila kase kung wala , hanggang ngayon wala papansin sa kanila.
