Pag Catholic Church gigil na gigil kayo sa separation of church and state. Subukan nyo magcomment nyan sa Muslim countries, tignan natin San kayo abutin. 14. I just googled it - Presidential Decree 960, Article 201. Decree by Marcos Sr. I'm not sure, but it's a 70s law tapos super subjective kasi andami pwedeng maoffend sa say... nudity, morality, race depiction, and yes, religion. Even yung pag glorify ng criminals. Bakit parang first time lang nagamit ito e nowadays kaliwa't kanan pwede ka maoffend ng kahit anong makita mo sa tv or film. Either the org has a very good lawyer/researcher... or no one absolutely cares these days. Aba using this law pwede ka magsampa ng kaso oras na maoffend ang religion, race at morals mo. Can someone clarify?

  15. I'm one of those offended and angry. Wasn't looking for an apology then pero sana after nung backlash since madami naman nagcall out why it was wrong and offending, sana di na siya nagpakaarogante. He answered the backlash with more hate tapos nagmukbang pa ng ostya, nagshow pa ulit, nagbroadcast pa, and etc. Hati ako sa pagpapakulong but I say this is a good wake up call. Sa mga nagsasabi na ang daming ibang issue etc, yes totoo yan, but that doesn't erase the fact na mali siya. I also hope ganito ang aksyon sa other issues of course pero it's also good na may aksyon dito.

  16. What Luka did was controversial and bold— not for everyone for sure, but not to the point of blasphemy. Bakit walang ganyang reaction sa “Jesus Christ Superstar” the musical? You know who really deserves jail time? That Senyor Agila and Quiboloy. Mas grabe mga ginawa nila.

    4. Dahil hindi mo gustong kasuhan, ibig sabihin ba dapat ganun din gawin ng iba? Inexercise nila karapatan nila. Wala lang karapatang diktahan sila kung anong dapat o hindi dapat maramdaman o gawin.

    5. But the end doesn’t justify the means. Ang point is may batas na linabag sya so dapat managot sya, and yes mas mga mas malalala pang crimes pero diba kaya nga may proper sanction for each crimes. Hindi naman sya reklusyon perpetua, makakabail nga sya eh. Dapat lang may accountability for each crimes so deserve nya.

Iilang private groups lang nagsampa ng kaso sa kanya. Kinocover lang ng media till now kaya nababalita pa din. Catholic Church nga minsan lang nagbigay ng statement about him eh.

I love how the world progress, but not the way it brings to these people. 28. He should be grateful he lives in a Christian country. If he lived in the Middle East and was blaspheming their most prominent religion, the faith of our Muslim brothers and sisters, he would have literally been stoned and scourged immediately. At least he has the chance to defend himself from the law he is accused of violating. He might have the chance to be proven innocent. Let this be a lesson. We need a deterrent in blaspheming and belittling the beliefs of others in the way he did. No apologies, no humility, just misplaced pride and the high brought by infamy. Perhaps he was made an instrument of God to remind the sheep who have turned to new idols and have forgotten the values and virtues held dearest by families and individuals who have God as their center. For many he has already been forgiven, but his actions are not forgotten and in Philippine law, at least, they have consequences. As for the other evils in society - they will have their time. Sabi nga ni Johnny Cash - "Whoever is unjust, let him unjust still. Whoever is righteous, let him be righteous still. Whoever is filthy, let him be filthy still. Listen to the Words long written down, When the Man comes around."

In God's time we will all pay our dues, but also be rewarded in his Mercy.

  39. While it is true that there are graver offenses than what Pura did, it wouldn't change the fact that she offended the religious beliefs of certain people, which, for some, is tantamount to personal offense since their beliefs is a crucial part of their identity. I am not a lawyer but based on what I learned on my business law subjects, freedom of expression, or perhaps human freedom, in general, is not absolute. You have to abide with unwritten laws such as morals and traditions. This is the reason why laws are established, that is, to put limit on one's freedom. Laws are also based on morals and traditions. I am pretty sure that if only she is humble enough to apologize to those who were offended by her acts, then it would not reach this point. I hope this experience of hers would teach her a lesson or two about respect.
