She had laryngitis before and when it got well, her voice was never the same. I think she explained this a long time ago. Yung voice was scratchy. Look it up. It's a phenomenon. I think kathryn contemplated on having her throat operated and then decided not to do it in the end. Operation is a big risk so I think tama lang decision nya not to go ahead with it.

The debate between what is more important "getting awards or box office movie" not only happened in PH. Even in hollywood, bollywood, etc, they always have this issue. The problem in here is the fans keep mocking other artists if they flop or they don't have legit awards which wipl lead them to fanwars.
To be honest Kath can act naman pero hindi sya magaling. Hindi nya makuha yung emosyon na gusto kong makita when she act. Kulang. Walang connection. Unlike ibang actors na madadala ka. Kath is not one of them. Kaya siguro hirap makasungkit ng award.

Despite the many blockbusters she made, no one considers them major contributions to cinema, which means she will never ever achieve greatness. KB, despite being the most senior among her contemporaries, has not reached a level of maturity as an actress. This is worrisome because no one is a box office star forever. In showbusiness, you are only as good as your last hit. It is only when she reaches a certain age will she will realize that she has wasted so much of her time making films that make money, but don’t really matter.

How easy for people to sit back nit pik protest hatred when in reality she is doing well in her life. She was right when she said you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. I love how she has paced herself. She has mastered romcom. She can now do more deep matured roles since she is at that stage in her life. Each actor has their timing. People are still curious are captivated to see what's next. That's how you stay relevant. After all she did as what was asked of her in the script. She did justice judging how people wanted to watch and pay for your movie. That speaks volumes for an actor. People will harp on you because you are doing well. They will find fault at the little things. If you talk about acting criticism then talk about her eye contact the control the subtle onset of tears. The delivery the control.
