  2. Ladies! Pag may family history, make it a point to get a mammo. Age is nothing. My friend died at 35 y.o. due to breast cancer.

    3. Pwde na mag mammo kahit under 40y/o dito sa US (don't get me wrong, hindi po ako nagyayabang) May benign cyst kasi ako noon and nung napunta ako dito sinuggest ng doctor na mag mammo ako

    5. Kapag medically necessary at referral ng primary care physician niyo, puwede kahit under 40 sa US.

Pero sa ibang countries outside ng pinas (like where I am now) pag mag family history, pasok sa banga.

    7. You can only have mammo when you reach 40. But pwede mag mammo under 40 if may nadetect na cyst to further check it.

    8. Pwede magpa mammo below 40yo basta may go signal ni OB lalo na at may family history. Pwede din breast ultrasound muna if ayaw mammo

    9. 12:16, cancer can be inherited from either maternal or paternal side. Meaning, when you assess your risk for cancer, include in your medical history your grandparents, first degree uncles, aunts, and cousins.

    10. In Canada they do genetic testing if you have family history of breast cancer. Yung ginawa ni Angelina Jolie. My friend got tested right away after her mom beat breast cancer. My friend was only 25 that time so may early testing talaga.

  3. Where I am lahat ng babae na 40 years old and above pinadadalhan ng letter and encouraged to call health line numbers for a mamogram for free. Tapos kapag may na detect na questionable result pinababalik ka for more test until sure na walang dapat ikabahala.

  4. Tama naman. Kahit takot ka, still better to know and be treated sooner rather than later.

  5. It is required in the country where I live to have a mamogram every 2 yrs after hitting 50. Despite the fact that I do not have a family history, I was called for a repeat scan using a different kind of machine + ultrasound after the first one. Turns out doctors found an anomaly, and although I in the clear now, would need to do the scan every year. Im very scared, however, due diligence and self awareness is key.

  6. Hay sana all may pera for these tests. Or at least sana libre man lang ng gobyerno. But then again, mas importante ang confidential funds

Do your research darling hindi ung my maibash lang sa gobyerno. Ngayon kung sasabihin nyong bakit my specific days lang abay tandaan na hindi naman tayo ‘mayamang’ bansa but to have that is already a good thing for now. Keep that in mind. Be grateful no matter what. Wag mema lang.

    4. True! Some of our public hospitals like PGH, East Ave, etc has Malasakit Center.

  7. Here in the US annual mammo starts at 40 specially if u don't have fam history or issues. I have dense breast tissues so if you have the same, it's harder to detect if there are lesions. Always do a self check and keep up with ur appts. Try to also do lymphatic massage around that area.

  8. In this part of the world, the govt sends letter to all women aged 40+ to have a free mammo.

  9. Yung nagsabing hindi puwede mag-mammogram unless 35, that's not true. I had my first mammogram at 33, and have had mammograms every year, since then. I am now 54. Thank goodness for early detection.

  10. Pag may family history, early scan is allowed or you should insist, it's your health at stake.

  11. Breast ultrasound pwede kahit ano age, pa check lang sa OB if you feel something off or different sa breasts. Pwede din ang mammogram kahit under 40 basta may consent from your breast surgeon naman.
Currently undergoing my chemo also for breast CA 🙏

  12. I was 25 nung first ako na-mammo.
