  4. Busy pa mga senators manuod ng basketball with their couple's shirts.

  5. Idk why. It may seem obvious na sila but something is telling me na hindi talaga sila. Ako lang naman ito mga ka-marites. Don’t come at me!

  6. Parang nagiging Victor vs People of the Philippines na and I’m not even insulting Maggie here. What I mean is, napakarevolutionary nito if manalo si Maggie laban sa giant na si Victor. I will pray for you Maggie.

    2. Precisely. There is a bigger purpose for Maggie's pain and for each and every women who unfairly went through this turmoil. Praying so much for our laws to be changed. IT'S ABOUT TIME. Laban lang, Maggie. Laban, mga kababaihan! May God be with us all.

  7. Rooting for Maggie and Tim, grabe can't imagine the pain Maggie is going through, na hnd mayakap ang anak nya.

  8. Kaya di pwedeng mag file ng adultery ang woman against a man sa Pinas kasi you have to file for concubinage. Kasi naman only a husband can file for ADULTERY in the Philippines and only a wife can file for CONCUBINAGE in the Philippines.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes you are right. Adultery can be filed by the husband, while concubinage for the wife. Though the latter is harder to prove.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. ang pagkaka alam ko, to file concubinage you have to have actual proof. or caught in the act sa bed si Guy something like that.

      Delete
    4. Concubinage is extremely hard to prove- kailangan huli sa sexual act yung lalake and in a scandalous manner. Vs adultery case na man's word or mere suspicion is enough.

      Delete
    5. Correct but magkaibang grounds kasi yan. Tama yung point ni Tim. Mahirap patunayan ang concubinage vs adultery

      Delete
    6. That's where the inequality lies. Mahirap i-prove yung concubinage cause kailangan may evidence that the man and the kabit live together.

      Delete
    7. Yes tama. And they have different elements. Mas madali i prove ung adultery case against a wife kesa sa concubinage na apaka hirap i prove

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. But concubinage is hard to prove.

      Delete
    2. Mas mahirap ang daming dapat iprove.

      Delete
    3. Yes but the punishment is not as harsh as adultery and it’s harder to prove which makes it a disadvantage for women!

      Delete
    4. Yon na nga ito talagang si Tim. Di talaga pwede ang adultery kasi lalaki mag file non against sa babae.

      Delete
    5. Yes but concubinage is harder to prove. Its not as easy as Adultery.

      Delete
    6. Pwede nga but look at the difference in “requirements” geng, unfair!

      Delete
    7. Harder to prove ang concubinage. I think you need to catch them in the actual sexual act to even start the case.

      Delete
    8. Just so you know, mas mahirap hinihingi na evidence sa concubinage compared sa adultery.

      Delete
    9. She needs to file it and mag-oath sa fiscal which she can't do dahil hindi nga siya makauwi

      Delete
    10. Concubinage much harder to prove compared to adultery hence it's women who are at a disadvantage. It's like saying divorce and annulment ay pantay lang and that we are on par with the rest of the world because we have annulment when it is much easier to get a divorce than for a marriage to be declared null and void.

      Delete
    11. Problem is napakahirap mag file ng concubinage charges against sa lalaki. Yung sa lalaki kahit mag sexual intercourse pa siya diyan kailangan i prove that he did it in scandalous circumstances. Meaning kailangan pang i prove na they acted as husband and wife publicly amd privately. Eh ang hirap nito i prove kahit may anak pa sila ng kirida niya. Basta unfair talaga para sa mga babae.

      Delete
    12. Hindi sila magsingbigat. Also, mahirap patunayan ang concubinage kahit pa proud na proud ibandera yung shubet.

      Delete

      Delete
  10. National issue na talaga toh. Why would senators meddle sa prob nila.

      Delete
    3. Sana corruption ang topic.

      Delete
    4. 🤦‍♀️ because it raised an issue na kailangan nang maresolve. Women shouldn't be at a disadvantage and have a higher prpbability of going to jail than men just because adultery ang kaso niya while men can walk free dahil mahirap iprove ang concubinage.

      Delete
    5. It is a national issue. Divorce is basic human rights. Kahit nga Muslim countries meron.

      Delete
    6. Because this is not only their issue. A lot of women are suffering from the very same thing. Of course responsibilidad ng mga nasa gobyerno iresolve ang issue na to. It's the law we are talking about. Kailangan na ng divorce sa Pilipinas.

      Delete
    7. Because there's problem with the existing law. Trabaho ng legislative branch, that is, senators and congress, na baguhin ang batas kung may mali.

  28. Sus. Ni is ngang lawmaker dinka man lang nabababnggit

    ReplyDelete
  29. Di lang lack of divorce ang problema, even the punishment on adultery/concubinage are not fair to women and madali din lusutan ng mga lalaki, daming loopholes na pabor sa kanila. Kaya biased ang law against women.

  30. I have a friend na from a military family, as in general dad nya. When she was trying to get an annulment from her philandering husband, she had to cut ties with male friends. Kahit co-workers iwas na iwas sya and bawal makita in public. Advise ng lawyer nila kasi the husband might try to get back by filing an adultery case kasi kahit walang pruweba basta feel nya, pwede gawin. To think na powerful din pamilya nya ha, yet she had to undergo that drama pa. Napaka unfair talaga ng Philippine laws.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Go.. our laws are misogynistic and antiquated, hiding under the protection of religion. Pero pag inatake naman ang religion, sasabihin, separation of church and state. Then, wag din diktahan ang state about laws as old as time, true as it can be. Charot! Baguhin na ang dapat baguhin.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wow sobrang behind pala talaga ng Pinas

    ReplyDelete
  33. For me, dont abolish the law, just make it applicable to men. We need more female lawmakers to make this happen. For the male lawmakers, pls do this for your daughters.

    ReplyDelete
Simple as that.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Exactly!

      Delete
  35. The question is - Did Maggie indeed commit adultery or not? If the present law needs to be changed, so be it. Yet, she still needs to face the consequence of her actions.

      Delete
    2. Panay kasi post ni Maggie I think yon ang reason.

      Delete
    3. pwedeng strategy yan ni victor. gusto nya pagurin, mawalan ng lakas, maubusan ng pera at masayang oras ni maggie sa kakasagot sa mga kaso hanggang mag give up na lang sya. he wants them to keep looking over their shoulders

      Delete
    4. Baka naman si victor ang nagdispalko and he needs Maggie's money or share in the business to pay off his kalat? That's why he wont annul because if Maggie takes her legal share in the marriage, wala na pambayad sa mga utang si victor. Look at what happened to the PR lady. She was set up to make it look like she took money from the business. That's why her charges were dropped, and it turns out it's victor'c company who owe her millions. Pasalamat sila she did not sue them back.

  44. In a society where divorce is not legal, women and children are often the ones who suffer the most. They may be trapped in abusive relationships, or they may be left without financial support if their parents divorce.

    ReplyDelete
  45. When a marriage is no longer working and is causing more harm than good, divorce can provide a way for couples to end the relationship and move on with their lives. This can be especially important in cases of abuse, where one partner is being harmed by the other.

  46. Even its not, relate ang marami dahil similar situation po.Sana kasi magkaron na ng divorce sa Pinas.

  49. Dapat talaga may scheduled review of national laws and proposed changes sa bansa, like every 50 years or so. The Spanish law on which the adultery law was based on was already abolished. Honestly, nakakahiya ang pinas in this particular matter. The annulment process has become a business process taking advantage of pinoys.
