The acting WAS horrible! And auntie I don't know if we watched the same trailer pero I think it already gave away the plot. He just signed some papers without realizing his ex wiped him clean financially. Although not clear whether this is a divorce paper or child custody though. His friend suggested that if KC's character will marry someone, it would solve his problems. So he set up his ex with someone, and when that someone started to fall in love with KC, he wants to win her back.
Eto yung pelikulang hihintayin mo nalang sa Cinema One (Cinema One?! Hahahahhahahaha ang edad napaghahalata!) tapos gagawin mo nalang past time kasi sa sobrang pangit ng acting, tatawa ka nalang ng tatawa 🤣 Napakadami nating artista, bakit naman ganito uy?!
Hindi naman chaka yung shots. Maganda naman yung quality ng videos. It’s the sound and editing na panira. Walang excitement for a trailer. Magaling pa mag edit vloggers. Lol.
Hindi totoo na mga theatre actors awkward sa Film or Movies. Daming magagaling ng actors galing theater. Example sa Korea yung kalaban sa Lies hidden in my garden yung asawa nung main kalaban sa the Glory na girl. Theatre actor yun. Isa pa sa Doctor Cha si Dr Roy Theatre actor rin yun.
I think the acting is terrible, hence it ruined the entire movie. Maybe the script is good pero sobrang distracting yung acting nila (the way they say their lines).
Ok naman si KC, ang di ko gusto is yung ka love interest nya. Medyo OA para sa akin. I think wala silang chemistry kasi and pangit din ang trailer editing, walang thrill.
I don't even know where to start. The acting, the dialogues, actually, the entire movie was bad! It reminds me of the short films on You Tube na may mga lesson about bullying, friendship, etc. Yung mga hindi kilalang actors ang gumaganap tapos pag nag-uusap sila napaka-unnatural. Same like Hallmark or Lifetime movies. This is the main reason why KC never really made it big in showbiz. The audience can't relate to her characters because she's basically reading her lines.
This is why enunciating every word when speaking in English while acting is a bad idea. Bagay lang yung ganito if pang educational videos. By the way, this is the reason why Dolly penetrated the international scene. Yung acting niya at bagsakan ng linya sa Triangle of Sadness was very natural. Hindi gigil mag-English at hindi din pilit.
Ay very true yan about Dolly!!! Gustong gusto ko na relate sa real life siya bumitaw ng mga linya. In contrast, this is too contrived. Even yung accent ni KC dito is trying hard to prove na she knows how to speak English well. Parang mas yon ang inuna kaysa sa pagiging authentic. Napaka-plastic ng datingan. Kaya hindi ko natapos panoorin ang trailer. I got too embarrassed for her.
Oh my, my. These actors used to be quite famous for a moment, actually. Konting storytime para sa mga hindi naabutan ang 90s.
First si KC. Alam nyo na in 2000+ , aminin natin she was really genuinely admired by many not just for her beauty and for being Sharon & Gabby's golden girl, but also for her smarts & social advocacies na hindi gaano relatable sa masa nuon. But her best talent was dancing. Kung di nyo sya napanood dancing with Adrenaline and Hot Legs that time na ibang level ang caliber hindi yung sayaw-sayaw lang, that was your loss. Lol.
Pero nag-move on nga mga tao. Bakit kasi hindi sya nagfocus kung saan sya PAK! She's still really loveable as a person, though.
Second, the guy playing her ex-husband is Dante Basco. Sa mga nakapnood ng movie nung 90s "Hook" by Steven Spielberg kahit sa VHS tape na lang kasi bata pa kayo nung pinalabas sa cinehan, yung binatilyong leader dun ng lost boys na kalaban ni Capt Hook na si Rufio na seriously sumikat among 90s kids in the US -- SYA YUN! ✨
So nung sinabi dito nya sa trailer "I gotta get her baeckk!" kala mo si Capt Hook parin kausap nya 🤣. Muntik tuloy akong sumigaw ng Rufi-o! Rufi-o! Rufi-o! Haha.
Third, si Paolo Montalban, the boyfiriend character. Kung batang 90s/90s teen kayo at mahilig manood ng martial arts, sya po si Kung Lao na bida sa Mortal Kombat - yung imported show ng Studio 23 palabas every Friday ng gabi. Sa mga hindi familiar sa Mortal Kombat series at video games kahit batang Y2K ka naman sana, aba puro Marites lang pala pinaggagawa mo! Joke 🤣! Lol uli.
At nung gumawa ng TV musical movie ang Disney na Cinderella starring Mandy, Whitney Houston, Whoopi Goldberg (O di ba grabe and casting ng mga legends), sya yung Prince ni Mandy. At ang GALING nyang kumanta! In fairness din most-watched in decades daw yung TV-movie nila that time sa States.
Hindi ko na makwento dito yung iba pa nilang accomplishments sa Hollywood, yang mga naging pinaka-hit nilang projects na lang.
So kung talented naman pala talaga ang mga to, aba sinayang lang nila sa tsenenes na movie script na to. Kung nag-martial arts or any kind of NY action na lang sana sila lahat 🤔 or musical movie nalng na maganda pagkasulat, baka mas bumagay pa sa mga personalidad nilang tatlo at baka mapansin pa mga acting nila sa Hollywood for good reasons. At papayat at babata pa silang tatlo kasi mag-tre-training sila.💪🏼
Kaso mas mahal nga naman iproduce yang mga action & musical na yan. At dumiretsong nag-settle na lang sa Fil-Am Romcom pero walang kwenta... Wala nang isip-sip pa, formula shallow film na lang.
Anyway, sana may natutunan ang mga nag-produce nito kung sino man sila. Kung kapos sa budget - BAWIIN NG BONGGA SA SCRIPT! 🎬

Hollywood movie sana pero mukang lalangawin. Hindi man lang ako naexcite o natuwa. I’m a fan. But very disappointed. Sayang support ko sa movie.

It reminds me of the short films on You Tube na may mga lesson about bullying, friendship, etc. Yung mga hindi kilalang actors ang gumaganap tapos pag nag-uusap sila napaka-unnatural. Same like Hallmark or Lifetime movies. This is the main reason why KC never really made it big in showbiz. The audience can't relate to her characters because she's basically reading her lines.

ReplyDeleteThis is why enunciating every word when speaking in English while acting is a bad idea. Bagay lang yung ganito if pang educational videos. By the way, this is the reason why Dolly penetrated the international scene. Yung acting niya at bagsakan ng linya sa Triangle of Sadness was very natural. Hindi gigil mag-English at hindi din pilit.
ReplyDeleteAy very true yan about Dolly!!! Gustong gusto ko na relate sa real life siya bumitaw ng mga linya. In contrast, this is too contrived. Even yung accent ni KC dito is trying hard to prove na she knows how to speak English well. Parang mas yon ang inuna kaysa sa pagiging authentic. Napaka-plastic ng datingan. Kaya hindi ko natapos panoorin ang trailer. I got too embarrassed for her.

Alam nyo na in 2000+ , aminin natin she was really genuinely admired by many not just for her beauty and for being Sharon & Gabby's golden girl, but also for her smarts & social advocacies na hindi gaano relatable sa masa nuon. But her best talent was dancing. Kung di nyo sya napanood dancing with Adrenaline and Hot Legs that time na ibang level ang caliber hindi yung sayaw-sayaw lang, that was your loss. Lol.
Pero nag-move on nga mga tao. Bakit kasi hindi sya nagfocus kung saan sya PAK! She's still really loveable as a person, though.
Second, the guy playing her ex-husband is Dante Basco. Sa mga nakapnood ng movie nung 90s "Hook" by Steven Spielberg kahit sa VHS tape na lang kasi bata pa kayo nung pinalabas sa cinehan, yung binatilyong leader dun ng lost boys na kalaban ni Capt Hook na si Rufio na seriously sumikat among 90s kids in the US -- SYA YUN! ✨
So nung sinabi dito nya sa trailer "I gotta get her baeckk!" kala mo si Capt Hook parin kausap nya 🤣. Muntik tuloy akong sumigaw ng Rufi-o! Rufi-o! Rufi-o! Haha.
Third, si Paolo Montalban, the boyfiriend character. Kung batang 90s/90s teen kayo at mahilig manood ng martial arts, sya po si Kung Lao na bida sa Mortal Kombat - yung imported show ng Studio 23 palabas every Friday ng gabi. Sa mga hindi familiar sa Mortal Kombat series at video games kahit batang Y2K ka naman sana, aba puro Marites lang pala pinaggagawa mo! Joke 🤣! Lol uli.
At nung gumawa ng TV musical movie ang Disney na Cinderella starring Mandy, Whitney Houston, Whoopi Goldberg (O di ba grabe and casting ng mga legends), sya yung Prince ni Mandy. At ang GALING nyang kumanta!
In fairness din most-watched in decades daw yung TV-movie nila that time sa States.
Hindi ko na makwento dito yung iba pa nilang accomplishments sa Hollywood, yang mga naging pinaka-hit nilang projects na lang.
So kung talented naman pala talaga ang mga to, aba sinayang lang nila sa tsenenes na movie script na to. Kung nag-martial arts or any kind of NY action na lang sana sila lahat 🤔 or musical movie nalng na maganda pagkasulat, baka mas bumagay pa sa mga personalidad nilang tatlo at baka mapansin pa mga acting nila sa Hollywood for good reasons. At papayat at babata pa silang tatlo kasi mag-tre-training sila.💪🏼
Kaso mas mahal nga naman iproduce yang mga action & musical na yan. At dumiretsong nag-settle na lang sa Fil-Am Romcom pero walang kwenta... Wala nang isip-sip pa, formula shallow film na lang.
Anyway, sana may natutunan ang mga nag-produce nito kung sino man sila. Kung kapos sa budget - BAWIIN NG BONGGA SA SCRIPT! 🎬

ReplyDeleteNaggoogle ako para mapanood ito at dito ako napadpad. Trailer pa lang ang dami ng bad reviews. I’m also disappointed kasi comeback ni Kc pero ang fail ng acting niya rito. Hollywood movie sana pero mukang lalangawin. Hindi man lang ako naexcite o natuwa. I’m a fan. But very disappointed. Sayang support ko sa movie.
