Nagets ko yung intention nung teaser pero ang laylay ng edit. There are some clips that they could've cut shorter para mas snappy ang edit. This is really exciting for Kathryn. Nasasayangan lang ako sa materyal. They could've done a better edit sana.

Medyo promising yung concept at aesthetic nung movie. Kaya lang parang big miscast si K sa movie nato. Yung delivery niya and execution especially nung sigaw kulang. Parang calculated pa din ang acting niya instead of natural ang dating. Sayang it would’ve been a good change from her same old roles.
For me the facial expressions are all great. However, ung bitaw ng lines were a bit mediocre for me. Ung aesthetic ng movie doesn't match with the supposedly eloquence of the characters, it sounds TH. The fans would definitely watch this. pero sana tinagalog na lang ung ibang script para ma-gets ng general public.
Maybe there's a reason for this. After all, this is just the teaser. The way the lines were delivered could be deliberate. Have you ever thought of that? Dark comedy after all.
Hindi naman kasi tayo gaya sa ibang bansa na inaaral nang puspusan ang characters. Dito kapag sinong sikat e may movie agad kahit di naman magaling actingwise. Like Kathryn, Daniel, Liza, etc.
Kathryn is so conscious sa camera, and so contrived. The way she acts, how she looks like, even the way she speaks masyadong calculated to look and sound good. Mas magaling talaga sya nun bata sya.
I do admire and respect Ms Dolly De Leon but I think she's miscast for the role. Based on the this teaser, she's trying to emulate Meryl Streep vibes for her Miranda Priestly role in The Devil Wears Prada. But it's a far cry and sorry for the lack of word, trying hard. Whilst Kathryn's acting is like a raw fruit forced to be ripened. Maybe the whole movie will prove me wrong.

I was quite expecting na mapu-pull pff niya to kasi ang tagal niyang nawala sa paggawa ng films/shows so may time sa mag-improve at magbigay ng ibang atake. Sorry pero wala talaga. Also, bakit parang hindi rin bagay kay Ms. Dolly? May binabagayan lang talaga mga ganitong roles

ReplyDeleteMedyo promising yung concept at aesthetic nung movie. Kaya lang parang big miscast si K sa movie nato. Yung delivery niya and execution especially nung sigaw kulang. Parang calculated pa din ang acting niya instead of natural ang dating. Sayang it would’ve been a good change from her same old roles.

ReplyDeleteFor me the facial expressions are all great. However, ung bitaw ng lines were a bit mediocre for me. Ung aesthetic ng movie doesn't match with the supposedly eloquence of the characters, it sounds TH. The fans would definitely watch this. pero sana tinagalog na lang ung ibang script para ma-gets ng general public.
ReplyDeleteMaybe there's a reason for this. After all, this is just the teaser. The way the lines were delivered could be deliberate. Have you ever thought of that? Dark comedy after all.
DeleteHindi naman kasi tayo gaya sa ibang bansa na inaaral nang puspusan ang characters. Dito kapag sinong sikat e may movie agad kahit di naman magaling actingwise. Like Kathryn, Daniel, Liza, etc.

ReplyDeleteKathryn is so conscious sa camera, and so contrived. The way she acts, how she looks like, even the way she speaks masyadong calculated to look and sound good. Mas magaling talaga sya nun bata sya.

ReplyDeleteI do admire and respect Ms Dolly De Leon but I think she's miscast for the role. Based on the this teaser, she's trying to emulate Meryl Streep vibes for her Miranda Priestly role in The Devil Wears Prada. But it's a far cry and sorry for the lack of word, trying hard. Whilst Kathryn's acting is like a raw fruit forced to be ripened. Maybe the whole movie will prove me wrong.
