GREENWASHING. Look it up.
Our ancestors in Banaue had to build the terraces in order to survive. They needed a place to plant grains and rice up the mountains. This construction project is plain business GREED. Landslide pa more!
I am from Cebu that area is landslide prone. Narrow road pa going to and from the city - as in 1 car right lane and 1 car left lane, kaya accident prone din and road.
Oh well, lahat nman nabibili at nababayaran sa Pilipinas. Hindi na ako magtataka if matuloy ito. 😂
Ako lang ba na medyo worried sa mga ganito especially with the weather and climate change recently sa Philippines? Like maganda nga pero parang disaster to sa future.
Hinde ka kasi engineer. You are familiar with Banaue right? It's an old method of construction to prevent landslide, it was intentionally made that way so they can develop the lands to make it more productive.
Is this one Of his projects in Cebu yung malayo sa City? Nasa bundok? Actually marami na trees naputol talaga. Remember nagkaroon ng typhoon sa cebu and minsan lang mangyari bumagyo one Of the reason is wala na daw talaga puno sa bundok naipon tubig sa taas kaya bumaha sa Cebu nawala usually yun nag protect sa kanila mga trees now? Not anymore.
Cebu city and Cebu po is generally mountainous or hilly. Ang Monterazzas is located in Guadalupe and yung area na po na yun sa Capitol and after is hilly and mountains na po talaga. If you care to study po about Cebu’s topography, yung flat lands ng Cebu especially Cebu City are already almost developed na. Residential subdivisions and dwellings are already located sa mga “bundok” and Guadalupe is among those.
I live in a mountain subdivision din po and most of the subdivisions now nasa bukid na talaga. Why? If you bother to go around Cebu like Guadalupe, Busay, Opra, Talamban, Basak and mostly sa Talisay and Minglanilla bukid na po halos lahat ng baging subdivisions. Kaya nga po uso ang habal2 or motorcycle dito instead of tricycle because of the terrain ng Cebu which is hilly and sloping talaga.
I am aware that when it started Monterazzas had a problem sa baha way back before but I know that has already been addressed kaya nakapag continue na sila and even sold the skypod 2.0.
Don't compare Cebu with other cities, kasi magkakaiba ang terrain nila.
My hometown so I care. How good and reliable is this slater young as an engineer? what construction company is he partnering with? And where in cebu are they building this? Pasensya na my short attention span can't finish the 18-min video. Salamat.
Looks gorgeous though and if the commenters are right about the destruction of our nature, then it's a no for me.
I think it's their company. Maalam naman talaga, but to cut the mountain for this para maka create ng architecture na impressive? Not worth it.
Glass house din yung bahay nila so sobrang init kapag mainit talaga. Imagine that is his own house na ha, di ko sure kung natutukan nya ba ang construction nun. That says a lot about his “reliability”.
So let me get this straight... rich/wealthy people wants to tell the poor people how to be green and yet the rich/wealthy people consumes the most resources :D :D :D Now, that is one funny but sad reality ;) ;) ;)
This. Naturingang Engineer pa naman. If he couldn't even perfect the quality of his own abode, I don't know how people would trust any housing/residential endeavour he is involved with lol.
Pabida bida pero isang malakas na bagyo na nonstop ang ulan like what Odette did would topple that aesthetic. Kahit overnight na ulan lang would already cause landslides. Eto yung maganda lang sa conceptualization but would be a nightmare to actually live in, he's basically trashing the environment for his huge ego.
They're basically depleting a natural mountain for this.
Can’t you see tatapyasin ang bundok ? So Dapat Lang mag ingay and ma call out yan.
Btw, its not even an original concept. Reverse search sa google will show you.
Palibhasa, never pa rin ata kayo nakakaakyat ng bundok at nakakagawa ng activities how to protect it.
@2:54 ayan tayo sa third world mindset e. Engineers and architects are creative problem solvers. I would understand pa kung ang ipinaglalaban nyo is "making an intelligent, concious choices" to preserve the environment without halting progress. But the way I see, you hated the project just cause its easier to act like a hero, an not the villain.
Creative problem solvers but not with this project. 1. Hindi madali makakuha ng water supply sa mountainous and high areas sa Cebu - to meet this basic need magiging unnecessarily costly ang project. 2. The project is located in the outskirts na kung saan ang public road na pa in at out ay narrow- dagdag traffic na naman. Anong problem ang naso solve nyan?
10:33 eye sore kasi nakakasira sya sa environment. Hndi man ako environmentalist and si 2:55, but for me its truly an eye sore kasi im sure that by having this will cause calamity such as landslide, flood, etc.
Jusko! Good luck sa parusa ni Mother Earth.
3:02 yeah napuntahan namin yun sinasabi nilang Beverly Hills of Cebu, was excited kasi nga nagagandahang bahay daw ang makikita until I saw where it was located. Sad
Impressive! Guys just think out of the box kasi. Isipin nyo nalang kayo din makikinabang dyan for our economy at thousands of jobs and tourists di ba kau nagiisip?
Yes, but not NOW. Cebu has a poor drainage and transpo system. They are building many high rise infra but the streets are stuck in the 90s-very narrow. Small rain and there are floods everywhere. Ordinary residents are suffering
Pinagsasabi mo?
That is akin to quarrying. It will only benefit the few people who will live there but thousands will suffer in low-lying areas dahil sa mga punong pinutol.
That’s true naman and agree but ung kapalit ay sisirain ang bundok ? And prone to more baha na & worst Pa in the long run.If you know what I mean try to watch and read about climate change.
Do you even know the core of our sentiments? Haven't heard of climate change? Okay lang sayo sirain ang kabundukuan, nature in general, for the sake of these businesses? Let me remind you, mother earth is our primary economy.
Anong tourist pinagsasabi mo? Kelan pa naging tourist spot ang condominium? For sure napakahigpit ng security jan so walang ordinaryong tao ang makakapasok.
Tourism pinagsasabi mo. Andami nating beaches and islands na magaganda tapos eto sila tatapyasin ang bundok for their own benefit? Hay naku. Waste management palang jan sa gagawin nila ano. Isip2 din sa future generation
Oh my god, who are you to dictate us 1:40? Anyway I am not from Cebu and to hell with that project pero kung lahat ng pinapanuod mo pinapaniwalaan mo, aba’y mas nakakaloka iyon ano po.
Dyan medyo safe sila mag tago hays sana leave it as it is
People in his comment section will lose their mind pag nakita nila 'yung mga school projects ng mga architecture students. These kind of extraordinary designs is not uncommon, Slater is not some kind of genius, copied nga lang din design niya eh lol. ang problem lang with these projects is 'yung feasibility. Environmental and sustainability wise 'di to feasible. He can construct it, sure, pero 'di lang pera ang factor when thinking of a project
Do you guys remember yung sikat na engineer or architect na surnamed Palafox. I remember may sinabi yun before na people and infrastructures ang dapat mag adjust sa environment and not the other way around. Else, it will be catastrophic, sisirain mo na ang nature, and eventually magigiba lang din ang binuild mo. Ganong klaseng tao at mindset and need talaga ng mundo, hindi yun katulad niyang si slater na its all for aesthetic and money generation.
Kahit pa sabihing sustainble blah blah blah kapag may sisirain or pakikialamang natural resource it is never sustainable.Bundok pa yan, goodluck na lang.
Mas magugulat pa nga ako if hndi ito approve ng DENR. Infamous pa man din ang denr or all govt dept sa pagiging mukhang pera. So im sure maaapprubahan ito thanks to money
Im a fan of their vlogs pero talaga naheartbroken ako para sa bundok. Original concept is condo sa taas ng bundok, minimal alng ang sisisrain parat ng bundok pero ginawa nilang ganito for the sake na mas mas malaki daw kasi magiging space. Pero my hear breaks. Kawawang mga puno.
Make your own bundok and ska mo ilandscape.ng gnyan. Wag mo idamay yugn natural na bundok. Instead, preserve it by planting more trees and helping avoid yung mga illegal logging.
If I had 56M, I wouldnt spend it here. Climate change is here, masyadong risky when exposed to more frequent severe weather events.
I know you can do almost anything in Pinas as long as you got money, pero sana hindi pinayagan ng local government masira ang bundok for this development.
This is what you call greenwashing, when a company is claiming to promote positive environmental effect that does not exist. Sustainable and green kuno but in turn you are ruining natural landscape with possible detrimental environmental effects.
Gosh! People ang dami nyo kuda! Ma afford nyo ba Yan dba hinde!?? I love the design actually. Kakaloka!
Wla nman kaminh paki maski pa gawin nyang parang Dubai ang Cebu. Mas concern kami sa kalikasan. Actually, I am one of those na hindi pinopromote ang country natin as a tourist spot dahil sa basura. Kaloka!
I’ve seen that kind of architectural design in other countries. Di ko lang maalala. I’ve watched a video of him before, di ko tinapos.
Multi-billion projects, esp like this one, are being done by group of consultants and experts. Si Slater could be heading this one or he might just a mere endorser.
No wonder our nature sucks because our culture doesn’t care about nature.
It's a No for environmental reasons and I doubt their company's reliability.
just do that in mars please
ReplyDelete🤣🤣🤣 Hyp natawa ako bigla
DeleteSana madevelop then pagmalapit na matapos ang construction bago mabenta at matirahan maland slide.

The devil's work

Ayaw nyo panoodin yung video pero gusto nyo may opinion kayo? LOL
DeleteOur lives could be at stake because of these so-called aesthetic elitism.
ReplyDeleteHe does not care, he just wants more money.
DeleteSomebody shut down this project, please?
Isn't that high risk for landslide?
ReplyDeleteYes, especially in Cebu.
Hence, landslide.
DeleteWe live in the lowland area in Cebu and when the Monterazzas property was developed grabe iyong baha sa area namin. Iyong kulay talaga ng mud..
DeleteThat's what engineers are for.
DeleteOh my :(
DeleteI am from Cebu that area is landslide prone. Narrow road pa going to and from the city - as in 1 car right lane and 1 car left lane, kaya accident prone din and road.

ReplyDeleteTrue, kaya isang malaking GOOD LUCK baha, wash out ang mga nasa laylayan nyan..
DeletePaano po.gumawa ng bundok? Asking for a friend. 🤔
Deletehahaha @2:03
Delete203 girl, I am just suggesting. 😂
DeleteImpressive state-of-the-art but ain't sustainable
ReplyDeleteAko lang ba na medyo worried sa mga ganito especially with the weather and climate change recently sa Philippines? Like maganda nga pero parang disaster to sa future.
ReplyDeleteKht may pera ako, i dnt wnt to live there.
ReplyDelete1:42 same. Doesn't look safe for me.
DeleteYes and if you have 350, why would you want to live in a condo?
DeleteLuh.. kala ko from the ground up ito. Aba'y tatapyasin pala ung bundok?! Landslide is waving.
ReplyDeleteAkala ko rin!

Delete10:29 Slater ikaw ba yan?
DeletePangalawa na nya to diba? Yung 2.0 sa bundok din. Ang bilis na soldout. Greedy so 3.0 naman.
I live in a mountain subdivision din po and most of the subdivisions now nasa bukid na talaga. Why? ReplyDeleteIt’s a copied design. Google “Gods and Dream Resort” by 314 Architecture Studio. Sobrang proud ni Slater as of it’s an original idea. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteWoah just checked. The conceptd are very similar nga. And upon checking, unang statement is it is located in a very privileged site. Indeed.
DeleteOmg!!!!!! Totoo nga!
DeleteTama si 2:15am “Gods and Dream Resort” by 314 Architecture Studio
DeleteAy oo nga kalerky!!!
DeleteHindi na nga original hindi pa maganda. At proud pa sya lol

DeleteDiba nga his own house has so many issues.
ReplyDeleteThis. Naturingang Engineer pa naman. If he couldn't even perfect the quality of his own abode, I don't know how people would trust any housing/residential endeavour he is involved with lol.
DeleteYes, neverending yung repairs sa bahay nya. He designed it focusing mainly on aesthetics.
DeleteOverhype Engineer 😟
DeleteHuh? Since when
DeleteLol palpak ang roofing at umangat ang flooring after bumagyo so ano pa kaya expect natin kung ganyan kalaking project ang aim niya yikes

ReplyDeleteExactly. Ang ganda ganda ng nature sa atin pinapapangit by building these obnoxious structures. Maapektuhan din yung biodiversity ng bundok.

ReplyDeleteGreat, more flooding around the area..
ReplyDeleteI like the design ha pero no comment ako sa kung ano man issue nyan sa environment kasi maski ako aminado not doing anything to save the environment

Ganong klaseng tao at mindset and need talaga ng mundo, hindi yun katulad niyang si slater na its all for aesthetic and money generation.
ReplyDeletehello landslide hehe nangangamoy disaster
DeleteKahit pa sabihing sustainble blah blah blah kapag may sisirain or pakikialamang natural resource it is never sustainable.Bundok pa yan, goodluck na lang.
ReplyDeletea congested version of Gods and Dreams Resort design 🙄🙄 gaya gaya lang
ReplyDeletesarili nya ngang bahay nasira ng bagyo, oo malakas yung bagyo but still it says something about the integrity of his designs
ReplyDeletethis guy is so full of himself
ReplyDeleteIt’s so copy cat and not suitable in a typhoon stricken country like Pinas.
ReplyDeleteUng skypod nya nga pag may bagyo sira agad bubong/kisame. Ano pa kaya yan? Idadamay pa mga nanahimik n bundok! Umayos ka Slater Young!
ReplyDeleteYung skypod na tinitirhan nya pag may bagyo sira agad ang bubong at kisame. Ano pa kaya yang bagong paandar nya ? Dinamay pa ang bundok!
ReplyDeleteWith earthquakes and typhoons in the Philippines, that is such a s2pid idea.
ReplyDeleteAng panget magkakamukha, carbon copy yung kapitbahay mo. At parang siksikan.
ReplyDeleteMedjo weird din si Slater. Imagine, glass house in a typhoon trodden country? Glass house in a tropical country? Hahahaha
ReplyDeleteTaas siguro ng insurance hahaaa
Deletedi ba parang shunga lang? so out of touch
DeleteMay permit na to? Grabe Cebuanos papayag kayo? Or no choice kasi pera pera lang ang labanan?
ReplyDeleteLuh kung sa bundok ginawa yan. Eh di landslide ang resulta niyan.
ReplyDeleteTsk. Nightmare. That's what it's like in the Philippines. Shameless greed and corruption has become so commonplace, it's terrifying.
ReplyDeleteMinsan nakakatakot tong mga matatalinong mayayaman .
ReplyDeleteIf he were smart he would have thought of a more original idea or better yet, something na hindi makakasira ng bundok.
ReplyDeleteQuestion okay ba na engineer si slayter is he
ReplyDeleteReliable Or hype lang siya dahil sikat?
Dyan na nakatira yung isang vlogger na retokada
ReplyDeletewho? halos lahat nalang vloggers at retokada these days.
Delete3:10 hahaha korek! Lahat na rin sila self-proclaimed "influencer"
Delete3:10 hahaha u have a point!
DeleteAs a consumer, di ko bet na may kapitbahay ako over me that can oversee my property.
ReplyDeleteTrue dikit dikit masyado, wall to wall… At mostly parehas ng style. Maganda yung ginayahan nito…
DeleteWas this approved by DENR? If so, its all about the money2x!!!
ReplyDeleteMas magugulat pa nga ako if hndi ito approve ng DENR. Infamous pa man din ang denr or all govt dept sa pagiging mukhang pera. So im sure maaapprubahan ito thanks to money
DeleteThe rich are so out of touch.
Im a fan of their vlogs pero talaga naheartbroken ako para sa bundok. Original concept is condo sa taas ng bundok, minimal alng ang sisisrain parat ng bundok pero ginawa nilang ganito for the sake na mas mas malaki daw kasi magiging space. Pero my hear breaks. Kawawang mga puno.
ReplyDeleteTsaka it's a bundok, why would you buy condo there? Might as well do your own house.
DeleteShould have change his name into "slayer", slayer of environment.
ReplyDeleteLol if the rumors are true...bagay nga yung slayer lol
DeleteMake your own bundok and ska mo ilandscape.ng gnyan. Wag mo idamay yugn natural na bundok. Instead, preserve it by planting more trees and helping avoid yung mga illegal logging.
ReplyDeleteMay something off tlga sa magasawang to
ReplyDeleteThats a lot Of big investment ha….. wow! Sino developer nito?
ReplyDeleteThey are earning kasi online kaya maski cringey wala yang paki. Lol
DeleteAkala ko ako lang na i Find them
DeleteCringey. Hinde pala ako nagiisa.
If I had 56M, I wouldnt spend it here. Climate change is here, masyadong risky when exposed to more frequent severe weather events.
ReplyDeleteI know you can do almost anything in Pinas as long as you got money, pero sana hindi pinayagan ng local government masira ang bundok for this development.
The goal is to make money!
ReplyDeletebuilding nalang gawin mo kesa jan haaayyyy
ReplyDeleteNagiingay ang mga walang pambile period!
ReplyDeleteSiraulo! I have investments on Monaco and yes, I read chismis in Pinas because i have more time than you can ever have or imagine in your life.
DeleteMy assistant was pitched by their sales agents and we immediately discarded it. Not because we can't afford it, but we don't back this BS.
This is copycat in Singapore. May ganyang housing doon
ReplyDeleteAng may sense lang na comment are those coming from experts. Mostly ng nagccomment dito, walang alam.
ReplyDeleteThis is what you call greenwashing, when a company is claiming to promote positive environmental effect that does not exist. Sustainable and green kuno but in turn you are ruining natural landscape with possible detrimental environmental effects.
ReplyDeleteGosh! People ang dami nyo kuda! Ma afford nyo ba Yan dba hinde!?? I love the design actually. Kakaloka!
ReplyDeleteWla nman kaminh paki maski pa gawin nyang parang Dubai ang Cebu. Mas concern kami sa kalikasan. Actually, I am one of those na hindi pinopromote ang country natin as a tourist spot dahil sa basura. Kaloka!
DeleteAng dami pala ditong environmentalist at engineer hahahahahahahahahaha
ReplyDeletehahahaha totoo baks.
DeleteI’ve seen that kind of architectural design in other countries. Di ko lang maalala.
ReplyDeleteI’ve watched a video of him before, di ko tinapos.
Multi-billion projects, esp like this one, are being done by group of consultants and experts. Si Slater could be heading this one or he might just a mere endorser.
ReplyDeleteSa New Zealand mas igagalaw pa nila yung road kesa gumawa ng tunnel sa bundok. Yan tinabas na talaga yung bundok. No wonder our nature sucks because our culture doesn’t care about nature.
ReplyDeleteThis
Deletewhy do this guy have a lot of followers sa youtube? all he and his wife do is to brag.
It's a No for environmental reasons and I doubt their company's reliability.
ReplyDeleteThe destroyer of mountains coming soon.
ReplyDelete
