    2. It's not weird kasi ipalabas man ang It's Showtime kahit isang channel lang o kahit 10 channels pa kung ayaw talaga panoorin ng mga tao, walang manonood. Ibig sabihin ang tao gusting panoorin ang IS kahit sa online (like me) o sa king saang TV channel sila.

Look at the endorsers na kinukuha ng companies, hindi porke higher ang ratings kinukuha na. Unlike dati na kung may primetime show ka sa top-rating network, may endorsements ka at masasabing sikat, ngayon mabibilang na lang sa kamay ang mga may endorsements because of the popularity of their show on tv. Mas may endorsements pa mga sikat na influences like mimiyuh.

    12. 6:18 Agree! Kaya subscribers and views na ang labanan ngayon. TV rating though is still one of the indicators for advertisers, pero hindi na kasing used like before. Showtime launched their tiktok account and easily jump to 3M subscribers. Thats the new strategy.

  9. Kakalito naman yung EAT tsaka EAT… BULAGA. I already expected na showtime will take over sa ratings. TV5 has signal problem. Aside from that, nakakapanibago ang studio at ang production ng TVJ. I’m guessing Showtime’s viewers are still the same. TVJ lang ang nawalan ng audience.

    1. Ratings (or market share) are important because that’s one of the basis of advertisers where to place their ads. Of course, if you will spend millions, you want your ad to be seen by the highest number of households and viewers - meaning mas madaming potential customers.

      As for us normal people na hindi naman part ng media corporations na yan - hindi ba pwedeng gusto lang namin maging informed? We don’t care whether we get the payment for the ads but we want to know how our favorite stars/shows are doing. Besides, it’s info.

      I don’t watch any of the noontime shows thought. Majority of their skits are either crass or tired and old. Wala lang better option, despite three shows vying for the coveted timeslot.

Ngayon ko lang nakitang umakyat sa top5 ang showtime with the addition of the GTV so may positive effect talaga ang collab with gma. The showtimers are grateful. Wag sana gawing away na na naman sa ratings.

    1. Even nutam adds kasi sa show per timeslot ang tinitingnan, hindi network. Blocktimer ang abscbn kaya sila ang may handle ng ad load for that timeslot, not the network

  22. This is irrelevant sa advertisers, if I am advertising one brand, for me to get the 7% audience share I have to pay multiple channels. Pero EAT I get the same reach for paying one… Adding this up is does not make sense in the grand scheme of things.

    1. You wont pay multiple channels because abscbn is a blocktimer. The advertiser will buy an ad spot from abscbn lang, not the network. Kaya look at EAT, they maintained their advertisers from gma to tv5

    Kantar has ALWAYS been partial to ABSCBN shows. Nung nawala ang prangkisa ng ABSCBN, biglang nawala din ang Kantar. Now lang uli na nagkaroon ng rigodon ang noontime shows eg bihlang nabuhay si Kantar!

    If Poor naman at cannot afford ang nanunuod sa free tv,
    so advertisers should pull out their ads, no sense kasi cannot afford nga ang viewers dahil ang gusto lang is FREE viewing
