Depende pa kung malilift ang strike soon. Has nothing to do naman sa SDCC kung mawawaley na sila dahil well celebrated event na yan. Not sure where you got the super nega reviews. I admit the acting of some of the young stars is not yet convincing, but the storyline is jpfine and the CGI is really good.
Hater alert! I’m not a fan of voltes v nor am i watching the show but i see good reviews on facebook especially about the cgi and how close the resemblance of scenes is with the old anime.
I think the correct term nga is polarizing. Here's my take: the cgi is hands down, really good. This should be the standard from now on dito sa Pinas. However, sumablay na sila sa ibang aspect that are equally important - acting, writing, direction. Althouh hindi naman ito straight drama, at the very least naman sana napagmumukha nilang natural ang acting, delivery of lines, dialogue. Kaya gets ko yung mga nagsasabing mukha silang mga nasa school play. It looks too stiff and rehearsed. Even the writing, andaming lull. Marvel works because the cgi is good, the story is good, but also because the characters are relatable. You want to be like them or be them, or hang out with them. Masyado atang silang naging focused sa cgi (na talaga namang the best so far), pero they overlooked the other aspects. Sayang.

I know the director and GMA Entertainment Grp has really deep friendship, pero sana sumugal naman sila sa ibang direktor. Hindi sya nakakapagpaarte ng artista. Hindi rin nya kayang mag-create na "atmosphere" para doon sa mga eksena kaya mukha silang mga nasa dula na nakatayo lang. I think maybe he's a good visualizer pero that's it. You need more than that if you want your audience to stick with you, to talk about your show, and to not stop talking about your show. The hype is there, achive na achive ng cgi pero hindi lang doon natatapos ang formula ng isang maganda at kinakapitang programa.
