Napaka incompetent that it was even approved to be posted and aired.

    7. Baby M said before that he wanted to reintroduce the country.

DOT hired the agency to do the ad. I don't think they instructed the agency to use other countries' stock videos...

    3. @ 11:37 - well the Ad Agency DDB already took responsibility and apologized. and the DOT already terminated the contract with them. so ano pa nga ba ang pwede nilang gawin? DDB has won many awards locally and Internationally. But because of this fiasco, dahil sa kapalpakan nila, sira na ang reputation nila. i think dapat may makasuhan, at pagbayarin sa kahihiyan na dinala nila sa Pilipinas.

    4. Sino nag-review at nag-approve?

    5. 6:44 Do you know the meaning of due diligence?

      Delete
    6. @6:48 They should be sued. Fraud? Sakop ba to na plagiarism? Copyright? Intellectual theft? O kung ano pa. Lagi na lang sorry.

      Delete
    7. 6:44 - kahit sinong ad agency ilagay mo dyan, DOT ang may final say if approved ang video or not. The fact na tinanggap ng DOT at na-launch yan speaks volume. Isip isip.

DOT also have a say on this. they should have done their due diligence (because that's their job). ginagawa lang nilang scapegoat for their incompetence ang DDB.

  6. More than DDB DOT dapat ang accountable. Public funds just went to your own pockets.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Mag resign na siya. Binigyan nila ng kahihiyan yung bansa natin. Take responsibility!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sana ni-retain na lang nila ang “It’s more fun in the Philippines” slogan. Mas inviting pa yun.

  9. DOT wag nyong ipasa lahat sa DDB dhil kayo ang may bigger fault here

    1. Malaki rin pananagutan ng DDB. Parang may sabotaheng naganap.

Yan tayo eh, pag successful, aangkinin. Pag palpak, pass the blame, out tayo. Gobyernong walang accountability.

  14. You should have reviewed it prior sa launch. Pano nakaligtas yun sa mga mata nyo. There's also negligence sa part ng DOT. Nagpakampante kayo sa clause with out having QA sa part nyo. Thank you madam at nakmows tayo sa ibang bansa sa nakakahiyang paraan.

:) :) :) You deserve all the good and the bad things this government will give you dahil ikaw mismo ang nag bigay ng power sa kanila :D :D :D

    1. I heard a live interview with her sa Radio, a day after nung papuri sa kanya after the slogan launch. Kahit yung mga radio host na impromptu, conversational Tagalog sasagutin nya ng Beauty of the Philippines, Exciting Cultures and Experiences, Amazing World Peace English!!!

  18. Yuck DDB Philippines!

Why use stock photos? You brought so much humiliation to the country.

In the end, sila rin ang nawalan.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The DOT should have screened it first. Or baka naman they did, pero di nila na recognize na other countries na ang pinapalabas.

    1. Madaling mag-google.

  25. Ad agency ba talaga me kasalanan?

    ReplyDelete
In any advertising naman, ina-approve and review muna yan ng client. So sino ba si client, ‘di ba yung Dept. of Tourism? Sila ang ultimate accountable jan kasi sila ang nag approve

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dapat alisan ng business permit ang DBB. It brought so much shame to us...

  29. Marami nang nasabi, but if you have never worked in advertising, please know that nothing airs or gets posted without client clearance. And that client is DOT. It is also true that mood videos are made for the consumption of the stake holders ONLY. Ginagamit ang mood videos sa pitch only and it is common practice to use stock videos kasi may time constraints ang paghahanda ng pitch materials. Ngayon dahil DDB ang awarded agency, at say for example e mood video nila talaga yang inupload, again, who signed off on that? Client pa din. People will be quick to blame DDB kasi sila ang agency, but if the whole process of coming up with the campaign were broken down, every step of the way, there will always be client intervention and approval before anything proceeds.
