Since the buzz du jour is that Bimby Aquino reached out to his dad, James Yap, I called “migo” (that’s how I address James due to our Ilonggo connection) about it. I’m not at liberty to divulge everything that migo told me out of respect for the privacy of their “renewed” father-son relationship.
All I can share from our convo is this: “Miga, I’m super happy to hear from Bimb after eight years. I’ve been praying for this day to come. Na-miss ko sobra si Bimb! It’s the best Father’s Day gift ever. He said that he is looking forward to seeing his brother MJ again and meet his sister Francine soon. He wished me luck in my new career as a public servant.” (MJ and Francine are James’ kids with his fab girlfriend, Mic Cazzola.)
Even if Kris Aquino and James are already an ex-couple, the superstar baller can never be an ex-Dad to their son, Bimby.
The “man with a million moves” (James’ PBA moniker) is raring to build millions of memories with Bimby to make up for lost time.
In fairness ang tagal na nila ni blondie ah. Akala ko naghiwalay na sila years ago.
ReplyDeleteThis is an example of a parent (kris) who was once hurt and bitter towards the ex but didn’t plant seeds of hate and bitterness in her child’s heart. Kasi kung iisipin mo bata pa si Bimby nung maghiwalay parents nya. Andaling impluwensyahan ng isipan ng murang edad but Bimb turned out forgiving and humble. Kudos to kris for that and for James also for respecting her and giving Bimby enough time. Happy for them. Love love love indeed!

Delete5:48 sabihin na natin na pinagbawalan sila for a time magkita o magkausap but the fact that Bimby didn’t harbor hate towards his dad is something admirable. Kasi kung lumalaki si Bimby na puro negative naririnig nya from his mom I doubt kung mag rereach out sya sa dad nya or maging comfortable man lang na mag reach out.
Deletei think yun pagbabawal ni Kris before na magkita yun magama, was because Bimb heard comments from his father about his being soft and acts like his mother. so nasaktan si Kris kasi nga parang yun tatay pa mismo yun parang nagdodown sa sexuality ng anak.

Yes. Kahit super arte ni Kris, she's actually very down to earth. Madaling lapitan. I saw her once sa Rustan's Glorietta. Papalapit pa lang ako, siya na unang nag hi. Tapos tinatanong pa niya kami kung ok ba yung mga damit na bibilhin niya. Natatawa nga ako kasi isang design lang yung damit tapos mga 7 kulay ata yung gusto niya bilhin. She's really very pleasant.

Imagine dipping your hands in your child’s inheritance and taking half of what Kris owns just because he can (no prenup) e di man lang cinonsider na para dapat sa mga fatherless children ni Kris yun tsk tsk. Question here is: did he ever give sustento to Bimby, khit pa sabihin more than capable naman si Kris?

DeleteCringe! It is concerning to hear that after eight years of being apart, he appears not to have made any effort to reach out to Bimby as evidenced by his statement that he "misses" him. It would have been simple for him to make a call, text or send an email. It is disappointing that the 16-year-old son had to take the initiative to contact his father. Kudos to Bimby, you are a better man than your father.
ReplyDeleteMaraming pagkukulang si James esp yong hindi nya pag intindi sa pakiusap ni Kris na wag na sya maghingi sa conjugal nila alang2 kay Joshua total kahit piso di naman nag demand si Kris. Pati na sustento basta lang wag sya mag demand sa pera ni Kris pero wala eh. Nagpa abogado pa si James makuha lang ang share nya sa pera ni Kris kaya doon si Kris nagalit. Di rin tumupad si James na magsustento once nasa kanya na ang pera ni Kris. Kqya natapyasan ang trust fund ni Josh dahil doon at sising sisi sya na walang pre-nup agreement. Tas, dumating ang time na si Bimby na ang lumayo. Di rin natin alam kung bakit. Maganda lang talaga ang pagpapalaki ni Kris kay Bimby.
