parang dito na lng sa pinas sya kilala.asian na kasi may ari ng pageant laya di na yata matunog sa US,di gaya noon na rich & powerful ang PR ng owner kaya kilala sa US,iikot sa pahat ng tv shows
She’s so clearly speaking of her own experience because she used to live on those streets and it made HER grateful for the life she got to live in America coming from that background. She didn’t speak of teaching the middle class to be grateful. God, mema lang talaga. Why do people always have to turn everything into negativity? Are you done playing out your superiority complex?
me point naman si 12:56. kahit ako i find it off when outsiders feel better about themselves because of the perceived struggles of others dyan sa atin. kapag umuuwi kami ng mga anak ko sa pilipinas, i don't teach them to be grateful for what they have in the states. i teach them na though it may seem like we have more or better sa amerika, that isn't exactly the case. i was definitely happier sa pilipinas. and the basis of that absolutely has nothing to do with material things or conveniences. i tell them that life here and there are different but we can't say one is better than the other. we all have different perceptions of "better" so the lesson when we go home is enjoy the "new." thus, they don't feel superior from their cousins and they definitely don't look at them with pity but with appreciation.

Delete"This street showed me how different my life was in America and taught me how to be grateful for everything I have,"
ReplyDeleteAng sight ng kahirapan o whatever that street showed you ay hindi para turuan ang mga middle class maging grateful, okay?
