    2. Sana daw same support and purchasing power ang gawin ng mga Pinoy sa local theatre productions.

    3. gusto ata na mas maappreciate ung local theather scene (tama ba term ko lol)

    7. Parang pelikula lang yan. Kung maganda pipilahan, kung basura nilalangaw. Gandahan niyo para di kayo langawin

    8. 2:29 wag ka magalala okay lang yan, ako binasa ko pa for the second time saka ko lang din na-get completely hahaha

    9. The script was from the song Huling El Bimbo from eraserheads. So you should know that it’ll have that ending. For me it’s still worth watching.

    1. Talaga ba 12:29? I’ve only heard good things kaya planning to watch. Can you share more why problematic? Serious question. Curious to hear a different take before I watch.

    2. Oo lalo yung end ng first part! Ang bigat ng aura. Tapos malabo yung conflict ng plot, like ok hindi pinansin ng boys yung bidang girl tapos nung tumanda na sila, pumangit mga buhay nila like hmm what

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Hindi ko gusto yung ending

      Delete
    6. Magagaling yung cast and crew and the performances were great, but hindi maganda yung personality ng characters nung boys.

      Delete
    7. Totoo. Napaka unnecessary ng climax and the tropes parang telenovela put into stage. Tapos di sila magagaling sumayaw lahat, di sabay sabay 😬. Maybe if world-class performers na din silang lahat, world-class writing din, the people will come. Mahirap mag-ask ng same support if di naman same caliber nagde-deliver nyo.

    8. True wala pang trigger warning and that scene came out of nowhere

      Delete
    9. Maganda sya... until naging tragic ang dragging yung story.. I mean di ko inexpect na disturbing yung plot twist ... nag-assume kasi ako na it was all fun lang.. walang pasintabi pagka bothersome ng plot twist.. pero still go for it if you wanna watch magagaling naman the actors. 😉

      Delete
    10. Agree! Parang masyadong pilit iinclude yung mga songs and overdramatic mala-pinoy soap opera yung story. Was disappointed kasi i was such a huge fan of eraserheads growing up and had high hopes.

      Delete
    11. wag kayo maniwala dito. just watched ang huling el bimbo.. i’m a mess sa theatre. nakakaiyak 😭 wag na magpaka critic masyado sa feedback, appreciate that we have these kind of local actors na sobrang gagaling pati live audience biglang sinipon at humihikbi on some scenes 🫶🏼

      Delete
    12. It should have a trigger warning.. nabigla ako sa plot twist.. not for all yung show

      Delete
    13. 11:52 I am from the industry so yeah I will be critical about it. Also, kahit yung casual viewers ganon din yung take.

Soon, manifesting!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Kaya naman basta maganda talaga. Not theater, pero magandang example ang Maria Clara at Ibarra. Kusang sumikat kasi super ganda talaga madami nagrereco na panoorin. Word of mouth ang naging marketing at reason ng pagboom.

    ReplyDelete

    1. MCAI is a television show and it is hardly the first show na sumikat. Malayo ang tv sa theater because tv is free, theater is not. Theater is more comparable pa sa movies kasi kailangan ng paying audience.

  5. We co presentor recently a small theater play somewhere in Visayas. I wont say the name. Talented ang pinoy. We have so many good theater actor and actresses dito sa Pilipinas, kulang lang ng supporta talaga and appreciation from the industry. These are real talent people. Kaya lang mas sinusuportahan mga tiktokers ngayon. Pwe!

    1. "Co-present" yata you mean?

      - From a person who gets bored in theatre acts

      Delete
    2. Thank you for correcting me on that. Co-presenter. Plural. Kasi marami kame. But we are that gives more monetary value + GC so we can put up a booth and ads during the show.

Sorry for bursting your bubble but those "tiktok" ads are visibility ads. Sa case namen hindi namen yun ginamit even during pandemic. We manage
to survived the pandemic without the help of tiktok nor instagram. Meaning not all of them generates income when talking about retail and consumer. Sa mundo ng business, we don't look at the visibility, what we look at are the numbers which reflects in P&L.

Just maybe you are not our "target market" and theater play and performances are not for everyone. Most likely, those who truly appreciate art, real talent and storyline that are mostly based on novels are portrayed in Theater.

  6. Todo support Pinoys sa Hamilton kasi sikat. Parang pag support sa Marvel over local productions.

  7. Nung high school ako naging isa sa requirement namin yan um attend ng theater play at wow nagalingan kaming lahat what an experience from my kikay classmates mga musikero mga sporty tuwang tuwa, sana mga school may ganyan na i require mga students, we paid 250 pesos not bad at all

  8. I would like to see Aicelle Santos in Hamilton

  9. Seriously iba naman kasi talaga pag international. Talagang mapapa wow ka. Locally medyo cringe parin kasi.

    1. Hehe while its true na talented naman mga pinoy theater actors, i agree with you. The way inaarange yung songs medyo hindi na nag evolve yung dito satin sa pinas. Also hanggang ngayon hindi pa din sabay sabay minsan, may sapaw. They lack that spunk na meron sa mga international theater actors

      Delete
    2. Yung Newsies dito dati na sad ako. Ang layo nung sa broadway cast. Not comparing pero hindi talaga mag lelevel up yung mga actors sa pinas. Kulang sa training unlike sa ibang bansa disiplinado talaga sila.

      Delete
    3. 11:52 yung international kasi may funding talaga. They are able to workshop a show for years and have plenty of rehearsal time .

I doubt kung naaappreciate talaga nila. I watch theater plays, local man o abroad.

LOL! I hope makarelate nga tlga sila sa kwento ng Hamilton. 😵‍💫

    3. Korek. I saw hamilton musical pero medyo inantok ako 😅 but i love musicals and i dream of watching broadway shows

      Delete
    4. I don't mind bandwagoning. At least it opens the doors to appreciate things na hindi naman normally na appreciate. And hopefully something takes root and dun talaga magsimula yung genuine appreciation.

      Delete
  11. Asa ka pa teh! Award-winning musical yan. Napaka imposible naman ng hanash mo. Acceptance is the key.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
May historical inaccuracies pa nga. Hype lang talaga.

      Delete
    2. 11:49 maraming musicals hindi kwento yung nagdadala, its the songs.

  12. Cliche response it will need to be a quality and world class production, and sadly international attention is a big plus because of audience bias.

  13. Hamilton is very popular in the U S Broadway cities. Always sold out. Great performances of actors.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Not a fan of theater pero bumili ako ng ticket yung cheapest kasi diba mag e end na completely para me makwento lang why not LOL

  15. Yung RAK of AEGIS ngsosold out yun diba?

  16. Gandahan nyo kase ante. Bye

    ReplyDelete
Pinag aaralan nila yun for years at di basta basta ang sinasabak.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I try to watch as many plays with my kids as I can afford, local and broadway, and I’m glad they learned to appreciate it.

We watched ‘Ang Huling El Bimbo’ as well, and sold out din naman during our time.
Pang ilang run na ba nila ito?

As for Hamilton, just like what I read in the other comments, we’re watching it more for the experience, even if we can’t really relate to the story. The production, costume, props, choreography….that’s what we’re excited about.
