People there don't take it well when u don't appreciate ur privilege.

    1. True baks! If they want to pursue Hollywood careers then good for them but they shoud not expect Pinoy fans to support them sa transition nila lalo na kung hindi pa pala sila satisfied sa fame & fortune na binigay ng Entertainment Industry ng Pinas sa kanila. Parang they only accept projects dito sa Pinas even if they dont want to para sa funding ng branding nila sa States.

      Delete
    2. Sa America at other European Countries lng ganyan.

Andaming liberated sa US for example, but it’s the home school shooting and unprovoked Asian hate violence. 2 horrific societal phenomenon unheard of in a country like the “conservative, close-minded” Philippines. Choose your poison.

    5. He downgrades Pinoy culture to think that's where he got his money rin.

Lol.

    6. Anong konek baks? So pag di siya bet closed-minded at conservative agad? Make it make sense. Maybe he is forcing people to like his version of himself that they may not find amusing, satisfactory or even likable. Maybe the problem is him for being arrogant.

  8. Mr. Reid - there is an element of cultural knowledge and rewpect of that culture that you have to take into account if you want to be successful in that particular market. You think from a Western-Woke perspective, a me-me-me mindset where victimhood and not take responsibility for one's actions and choices seems to be de facto. You might bring change or influence people to think like you but if you don't respect that difference and always think that you are right, you will not succeed. Culture is intrinsic to a people and an ethnic group. You cannot demand them to accept you, you have to work your way in and adapt. There is no one 'truth', there is only verissimilitude. Nagyon kung hindi mo gets o irespeto man lang ang core Pinoy values para isa alangalang ito sa business plans mo, you will not succeed in Philippine society with your current approach. You can't just cancel tradition and people's mindset, ibstead, the people of that culture will cancel you.

    4. Rights come with responsibility. For every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. Just because it doesn't agree with your narrative, you don't have the right to cancel that. Adults are accountable, good companies, good businessment take responsibility for their actions and choices. It will be difficult, that that is what is expected and required to establish one's self in life. If you go through that and succeed, you become stronger and much, much closer to the ideal version of yourself. You will have the ability to protect yourself, others and your interests.

this guy actually thinks hes smarter than everyone just because hes "half" & speaks english fluently than most here in the country (which is LOL-worthy on its own)

for one, hes a FLOP, never been as bankable or as respected like D & E are

secondly, the main issue of everyone with L vlog & her statement wasnt "being who you are", it was accusations & complaints that got DEBUNKED literally just a day after

it was her (and to an extent her "new management" that this guy runs) LIES THAT GOT EXPOSED by her former manager, whom has receipts

even worse, after she got called out with specifics (ie being in control in previous projects, "only 1" leading man, "only 3" directors, etc) she dodged answers & went vague all over the place with interviews

these 2 are clearly now on the verge of being completely cancelled & irrelevancy, both here & elsewhere, because even with their damage control tactics now, they simply cant face the music & be truthful

Why do you think foreign vloggers make sure they film in the Philippines aside from hospitality they know they will support their vlog (for the views) and you can also see that with local vloggers they have great number of views!

      Delete
    7. Every culture has both good and bad elements. Crab mentality is actually a kind of check & balance na pag sumobra, it goes far. Minsan, people can get too prideful and arrogant that they forget common sense. This can pose a danger to society. It is a social mechanism that protects larger society, a form of utilitarianism where the happiness of many is more important than that of a few. Nagiging negative lang ang connotation kung inaabuso ang mekanismo na ito, pero sociologically speaking, it's a cultural tool of protection. And the idea of colonial mentality needs adaption in a globalized world. Rather, mayroong Pantayong Pananaw ang Pang-sila - their culture, our culture, and we meet in the middle. By that, ibig sabihin, they need to understand and respect Philippine moral values to be successful in Philippine society. If you don't take that into accpunt, mahihirapan kang irespeto at paniwalaan ng nakararami. Importante ang cultural element understanding sa marketing dahil kung wala ito, communicating well and being accepted in that market will be a problem. I think Mr. Reid ought to take some courses in business management, marketing, communications and human resource management. He has the money, he should equip himself with knowledge and skills if he really wants to be successful.

    1. Pinapakialam? He is seeking attention, the wrong attention. He is criticizing Philippine culture & disrespecting the madla, looking down on the very people who gave him the money and influence he has now. Pinoy moral values do not agree with that, no matter how flawed we are as individuals. We voice because we believe in that morality, it is not just about being self-righteous. Kasi parang sinsabi niya na those things don't matter. But it does, to the Filipinos who those values important sa pagjatao nila. If you want to be a doormat, that's you. At least respect others to defend the ethics they expect. Tolerance can only get you so far. Sometimes, it can lead to abuse and oppression.

  56. E di don't. So please stop using us, Pinoys, sa future projects whatever nyo.

The tickets were expensive only to give the audience a performance of their their no-name artists, whom nobody is excited about.

Yet, they look down on those execs and managers who work hard to make it happen for them because they are 'caged' and making millions. Brains are not just food for zombies. It can be used by humans to do better in life too.

Kaya kahit anong sabihin niya na grateful sya and chuva, the fact is, her face said otherwise.

Anyway, don’t mind the people. It’s just a reaction after being scammed- You know, angelic face with an ungrateful heart. People weren’t expecting that.

Don’t expect you’ll capture the broadest audience kung hndi naman pang “masa” ang gusto niong branding, right? Also, instead of preaching, show results nalang. Come up w/ something commendable that reflects your taste. You will sound whiny kasi kung puro kuda lang but nothing to show naman.

    1. Hindi naman kasi tayo ang market nila. Kaya nga lumipat ng US eh. Nagfifeeling important lang mga pinoy. Kala mo pag aari nila yung mga artists. Gusto nila groveling yung artist to get their acceptance.

    2. ANo? Hindi pinoys ang market nila? YOU'RE SAYING THIS AFTER SILA SUMIKAT DITO AT YUMAMAN HA.

    5. 2:17 luh, hinahabol ba ng pinoy sina james at liza? lol. they are both forgettable. kung wala itong issue na to hindi pa sila pag uusapan ulit. hindi pinas ang market yet they are endorsing maya sa pinas? if hollywood market nila, they can stay there for good at wag ng tumanggap ng philippine projects. jeez.

Sa tingin mo kung alam nilang mas sisikat sila sa Hollywood eh dapat doon nalang sila mag stay but the truth is Philippines πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ is still their bread and butter!
Hollywood is the melting pot of all beautiful and talented people all over the world and it’s very expensive to live out there, so why do you think all their projects are mostly in the Philippines? Remember his concert tour in the US/Canada was cancelled and WavyBaby was a total flop!

  83. Hayme - you cannot just demand respect, you have to earn it. You have to be worth it. Now if your actions are contrary, then you will never get it. You can be yourself, your true self, that is your right. But people also have the right to not like you. You cant force others to like the true you. Just as you want to be respected, respect pthers too. The Golden Rule - 'do not do unto others what you don't want done to yourself'.
