Medyo naalala ko yung during pandemic, may mag amang chinese sa elevator story. Ganitong ganito ang feeling ko sa mga kpop fans ngayon in order to push their narrative. Hahaha
Enjoy the music pero know your limit
Diba 12:23AM.
To each their own. Nahighlight lang because of kpop.
I think it's an addiction. Di ba ganyan ang nangyayari kapag di mapigilan ang urge to have something?
Im an EXO fan and I just super love their vocals and the music they make and coz they're not a typical kpop group. I also buy albums and other merch so they can stay longer in the industry.1 of the factors for a group to not get disbanded is albums sales, hence fans like me buy those with our own money.
We're not different from any other collectors. Filipinos are just too prejudiced.
Oh well..the intention was good to teach everyone a lesson, pero para sa Isang bata magnakaw ng ganoon halaga, very very alarming.
Mas madaming good vibes and profound stories ang nafeature nila kesa sa ganitong issue so we’ll keep watching.
Regardless if kpop merch yan, yun bata ay diagnosed ng impulsive disorder kaya the more na dapat sila mismo as family ang nag protect.
The family shouldn’t have had themselves featured on KMJS. And KMJS shouldn’t just have blurred their eyes only. If you know them, you can easily recognize them. They should’ve protected the kid. Now you are crying foul when their identities were exposed? It’s all your fault. Stop blaming it on the fans. Stop the gaslighting. That was very very irresponsible.
Kinulang sa research ang KJMS. Hindi sila nag-hihirap. Maykaya sila sa buhay and ginawa lang yun ng either yung tita or lola para sa clout and para makabenta. They ended up having a shop sa twitter na nagtrending pa nga. Also, yung enhypen na ticket na pinost eh unused. Talaga ba? If kpop fan ka either you watch the concert or sell it kasi in demand.
Peke daw itong kwento.
I’m a BTS fan but I didn’t know na ganyan pala kamahal merch. I don’t buy them. I support them sa ibang ways like I’ve been to their concert and listen to their music.
The more merch, the more feeling mo yayamanin ka underestimating other fans na hindi maalam tumingin ng authentic na merch
5:52 ebarg sa social climber! hahaha. Di naman ma fflex sa labas yun kpop merches like cars & sneakers noh. It's just the happiness that it brings dahil may albums ka nila, parang sa batang 90s lang nangongolekta ng cds. kaya lang expensive to si kpop kase from korea talaga sya.
Like, i only have a few. To each his own nga.
Marami naman commercial yung show.
I didnt expect from an award winning show na kukulangin sila sa research. At talaga ba KMJS? " ganun ba kmjs?
May subtitles, bhie. Hypocrite much.
Same with the kid na nanakawan daw. Baka ganun din siya..
That's what I've been saying all along... May something dark and sinister talaga sa kpop that drives the fans to obsessive behavior. Imagine spending that much money on pictures! No matter how many times kpop fans defend themselves from spending thousands for those photos, it's still crazy levels. Again, PICTURES LANG YAN.
Last year, I asked a teen-aged girl what she wanted me to gift her on her birthday (I find this more efficient than giving gifts that are cute and appreciated but not really used) and she asked for a photocard. P450 isa! Gahd. Since it was well within budget, I bought her a few of those thinking na lang na it would have cost me the same amount whatever gift I gave her but at least those pictures she really asked for and are happy with. Pero yun nga, ako mismo for myself I wouldn't buy those.
Why look down s kpop fans and tag them as crazy? Fyi. Dati pa may card collectors, meron pokemon, NBA cards, etc. so why single out kpop fans for collecting these items?
Dahil ba kpop yun collections? Kasi not cool? Baso, plato, halaman, etc. If that makes them happy then why not? Basta gastos responsibly.
KPOP ITEMS OR NBA ITEMS, THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE REASONS WHY AN ITEM SHOULD BE EXPENSIVE IS IF IT IS MADE BY AN ARTISAN OR THE MATERIAL USED IS REALLY EXPENSIVE OR RARE LIKE A METEOR ROCK THAT HIT THE EARTH MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO OR SOMETHING. THOSE SIMPLE PHOTOS OF OPPAS AND UNNIES ARE JUST NOT IT....
4:27 Get real. Value is what someone is willing to pay for it. Canvas nga na blue paint or isang guhit lang can sell for millions of dollars dahil lang sa name ng artist. Nood ka Pawn Stars to see how the collector world works.
10:52 legit sellers talaga oo pero it doesnt mean na rare mga benta nila or what.
Those kpop fans really worship those plastic korean celebs. I refuse to call them the "I" word because that is very wrong to call someone who is also human like you. Yeah, deny all you want but buying a small photo, bringing them to restaurants or wherever and posting it online with captions "I'm here in somewhere eating with sweet baby oppa..." is clearly obsessive levels. A lot of them also claim that those korean singers save them from their depression which is also very wrong. How can someone who doesn't even know you exist save you? Through their music? NO. THEY ONLY WANT YOU TO BUY THEIR SONGS/ALBUMS. SAVING YOU IT'S JUST AN ILLUSION BECAUSE THEY DON'T EVEN WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND IN REAL LIFE.
well, you are just underestimating the power of music in general. hindi naman sa kpop nagsimula ung mga instances na ganyan. maybe it's their tactic. pero kung positive naman ang naging outcome in the long run, fair enough. kung nega, then something has to be done. wag naman tayong hasty generalization porket sumikat sila at nasanay tayo for so long na Western ang basehan natin ng halos lahat ng standards.
I speak the truth. Those kpop celebs did not save you from depression, YOU SAVED YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO BE SAVED. Those kpop celebs don't even want to shake hands with you, be photographed with you or give you their autographs if you happen to see them in public but you really think they saved you and other fans from depression? THINK ABOUT IT REALLY HARD.
Just like worshipping other western artists, athletes, politicians, man made Gods, money, other stuff. They're all the same. All of us have enthusiasms that make yoh happy, and AS LONG AS YOU SPEND YOUR OWN HARD EARNED MONEY, regardless if you buy someone, who does not know you, a house a lot, other people should STFU. Stans dont mean ' idols saving from depression' literally. It means the happiness that these idols and their music brought them has saved fans from sadness, from depression. There's nothing wrong on obsessing with other people, YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW YOUR LIMITs, and do not be a h*p*crite like some of the commenters in here.
True on all accounts. I live with a superfan and the fandom almost destroyed his life. Affected by everything happening to that group. When they broke up, he was so depressed he couldn't eat for days. The extreme stans os a mental illness, an addiction to an illusion. The idols and their companies though are successfulnin one thing - taking most of his money, putting him in debt, and almost losing his relationships. Common sense leaves the window when fandom madness hits. Its heartbreaking and difficult to watch it happen.
Can you say the same to someone who said "this book changed my life/saved me?" this comment reeks of prejudice. Art can be in many forms, it can affect people differently, and yes it can change and save people. Your comment is not only prejudiced AF but also ignorant AF. "You saved yourself because you wanted to be saved." My god, do you even understand the concept of influence? Have you ever been inspired or moved by something? Or are you a cardboard with no feelings or empathy? Honestly there's no point talking to you
Idolatry is the selfish sin of substitution in which we devote ourselves to worship something or someone in the place of God. It is foremost a sin of a covetous heart that leads us to desire more than what God provides, and to trust something or someone lesser than God to satisfy our wants and needs.
Idolatry isn’t just one of many sins; rather it’s the one great sin that all others come from. So if you start scratching at whatever struggle you’re dealing with, eventually you’ll find that underneath it is a false god.
im a fan of three kpop groups, meaning Ill buy albums and if may concert , pupunta ako kahit tingi version pero hindi po ako mahilig sa merch , kung album naman one copy lang pero ako po iyon.
again, iyong iba kasiyahan na nila or collection na nila iyon if afford, why not di ba
Malamang hindi lahat narereport dun and the police might not take it seriously, hindi naman madaming nakakaalam na expensive ang merch. It seems odd, bakit sa KMJS sila lalapit?ganu kadami ba ang na-snatch? is it the entire collection or just a piece of that collection. Something is amiss with the story. Kulang ang pag-uulat ng KMJS. They can go deeper.
12:31, di ba kayo na rin ang nagsabi na alam na ng buong Pilipinas ang price ng merch kaya yung mga kawatan pinapatulan na rin yung photo cards? according to you, something is amiss with the story? you think kmjs will satisfy your thirst? we don't know. lumapit na lang kayo (tutal million kayo di ba) sa ibang channels and sa mga kpop fan lawyers/vloggers para marinig side niyo kung kulang ang pag-uulat ng kmjs. you can't control everything and everyone. you definitely can't control media coz they've been there for decades. they are not perfect but they know what they're doing. you think enough yung mag-ingay kayo sa social media?
Ganyan rin ba ang reaction mo sa ibang collectors, like those who are into collecting bags, shoes, clothes, NBA Cards, Comics, antiques, etc?
Walang financial value kasi accessible and affordable. Unlike luxury shoes, bags, clothes, and antiques na magagamit mo na pwede mo pa ibenta sa mas mataas na halaga at mapapakinabangan pa.
4:09 If you think these are accessible you are delusional. Anyway, there's no point explaining the concept of collecting to a close-minded non-collector.
At umabot man ng 100k yun binilhin talaga, dahil legit international basketball superstars nga anteh!
Mas mahal pa kasi ang mga pc than their albums. Just saying.
PS. Not sure kung ginagawa parin ng mga company but during 2009's may libreng photocard pagbumili ka ng album nila. I do have photocard of leeteuk (suju) nung bumili ako ng 4th album nila.
these idols are musicians, entertainers, same as those people in athletics. Magkakpareho lang ang mga yan. they are all humans who make other human beings happy. Wala tayong pake kung gaano pinakahahalahan ng mga tao ang iniidolo nila mapa sports or entertainment man yan. Everyone of us have something that we are passionate about. Huwag tayong hipokrito.
8.19 this is what I don't get with Asians in general. They cry no to racism but racist sa kapwa nila Asian and still think of Western people as Gods. Mapa-Pinoy, Koreano, and even some Singaporeans ganyan.
8:33 It will never spark joy anymore. Been there. Done that. Although, we don't know what will happen in the future, I hope some addicted fans will practice moderation and responsible fangirling. I guess these are what most idols want their fans to do.
They looked well off lol.
true or not this kind of obsession is ridiculous. many yrs from now pgssawaan na yan mgging tambak nlng sa bhay yan. relevant pb ung iniiodolo nun? lol.
And the faniky's story is susp. And mababaw or not. It's passion. Same as other's addiction to bags, toys, plants, or western artists.
I hope KMJS also feature all fundraisings and other projects that Kpop fans do to help society. Hindi yung ganito lang na side. Marami ang responsible fans. I'm in my 40s, married, with a stable job and I collect merch that I like and yung photo cards nakakatuwa naman especially if you get your fave but I don't intentionally collect, kung ano lang ang kasama sa merch. It's something everyone cannot understand unless you're a Kpop fan. Parang yung collectors lang din yan ng Magic or NBA cards but ofcourse, walang issue sa kanila, sa Kpop fans lang meron. Why?! Personally, I also don't understand those who are into PCs so much but to each his own. As long as wala namang nasasagasaan yung collectors and fans, ano bang problema? Hindi niyo naman pera ang ginagastos and they can do anything with their hard earned money.
This Bea issue is unfortunate. True or not, they exposed the teenager to online shaming and bullying, pati buong family nila. A lot of kpop shops actually offered help to sell Bea's merchandise but withdrew their support after doubts on the story surfaced. Tapos ngayon biglang may pa-legal ek-ek pa itong KMJS. 🤷♀️
4:44 Di ko ata na-frame ng maayos but I know it's the family who approached. What I wanted to say was yun family mismo nag-expose dun sa Bea and now sa buong family na mismo nila. KMJS could have researched mpre about the whole thing. Damay2x na.
4:44 re: projects featured, that's good to know. I just think these projects need to be highlighted too. During the height of the pandemic ang daming projects rin. Parang nadi-demonize lang kasi yung whole kpop fans. There are so many toxic fans din naman kasi but not all.
Whether fake or totoo yung story, the point is hindi naman masama magcollect if you have the means pero kung nagagawa mo ng mangupit to satisfy yung cravings mo sa merch maling mali yon. Weigh mo din kung will it be worth something someday
well off naman talaga yung family nung bata.
I can only think of two reasons why someone would defend fiercely those obsessed kpop fans who are paying thousands for those overpriced photocards/merch. Either you're a korean who enjoy these obsession with you and your country/culture or you're selling kpop photocards.
Or I'm not an ignorant holier-than-thou virtue-signaling person who refuse to accept and educate themselves that there's a world outside of them that can be different. Collecting is a niche hobby, just watching Pawn Stars can give you an idea on how much people will pay for the most absurd things. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's stupid.
Gaslighting naman to si kmjs. Bakit di nila i point out na ni ccall out na fake yun story. Well- off ang family, may apo rin na talent ng gma, kaya nga siguro sila na-feature. Yun statement kasi ng lola "gipit na gipit ako tas nagawa nya yun" which in all manner it means eh halos walang wala na. Pero they recently had trio in bali and palawan
"Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's stupid" or something is really wrong with you and you need to be checked. Chronic obsession is not healthy.
Medyo naalala ko yung during pandemic, may mag amang chinese sa elevator story. Ganitong ganito ang feeling ko sa mga kpop fans ngayon in order to push their narrative. Hahaha
ReplyDeleteWala kang alam sa kpop fans so don't judge
DeleteNah. If you research enough may point yung kfans. The story does seem staged
Deletekpop pa more
Enjoy the music pero know your limit

DeleteI read somewhere that this is just a marketing ploy kasi balak talaga nila magsell ng kpop merch

DeleteTo each their own. Nahighlight lang because of kpop.
DeleteI think it's an addiction. Di ba ganyan ang nangyayari kapag di mapigilan ang urge to have something?
DeleteAng lala talaga. Nabisto ngayon napakamahal ng mga luho nila. Disgusting.
DeleteOh please, 1:23! Malaking insulto yan.
DeleteIm an EXO fan and I just super love their vocals and the music they make and coz they're not a typical kpop group. I also buy albums and other merch so they can stay longer in the industry.1 of the factors for a group to not get disbanded is albums sales, hence fans like me buy those with our own money.
DeleteWe're not different from any other collectors. Filipinos are just too prejudiced.
Delete4:42 In the end, it's because of your ego and pride.
DeleteOh well..the intention was good to teach everyone a lesson, pero para sa Isang bata magnakaw ng ganoon halaga, very very alarming.
As if naman maaangkin nila ang idols nila.
DeleteI super love KMJS. Keep slayin.
ReplyDeleteNaintindihan mo ba yung issue? 💀💀 11:40pm
Mas madaming good vibes and profound stories ang nafeature nila kesa sa ganitong issue so we’ll keep watching.
DeleteTrue :(
DeleteAnon 10:00. Parang may nag spill nga. Ano yun? Natandaan lang nung viewer? Hehe
Regardless if kpop merch yan, yun bata ay diagnosed ng impulsive disorder kaya the more na dapat sila mismo as family ang nag protect. May sense naman sinasabi ko diba?
Deletekinuyog ng kpop fans tong post ng kmjs
ReplyDeletePa main character talaga mga kpop stans tapos bait baitan pag cinocall out behavior nila. totoo namang di healthy obsession nila
DeleteJust a tiny photo tapos ganun kamahal? Tsk, tsk... it's really wrong kahit saang anggulo mo tignan...
DeleteKulang kulang naman kasi istorya ng kmjs.
ReplyDelete1. Mayaman sila.
Mageexplain kuno sila.
Lol Ang simple at saya lang mag fangirl dati.
DeleteYung centerfold ng magazine naman ako!
DeleteYeah, poster, at notebooks!
Everything is simple.
DeleteThe family shouldn’t have had themselves featured on KMJS.
They ended up having a shop sa twitter na nagtrending pa nga. Also, yung enhypen na ticket na pinost eh unused. Talaga ba? If kpop fan ka either you watch the concert or sell it kasi in demand.
ReplyDeletePeke daw itong kwento.
ReplyDeleteI’m a BTS fan but I didn’t know na ganyan pala kamahal merch. I don’t buy them. I support them sa ibang ways like I’ve been to their concert and listen to their music.
The more merch, the more feeling mo yayamanin ka underestimating other fans na hindi maalam tumingin ng authentic na merch
Delete5:52 ebarg sa social climber!
DeleteThe fact that Bea and her family lied pero ang sisi eh nasa kpop fans? Lol
ReplyDeleteDaming baby bra warriors na galet
ReplyDeleteI didnt expect from an award winning show na kukulangin sila sa research. At talaga ba KMJS? " ganun ba kmjs?
Hypocrite much.
DeleteThen why are you here kung di mo gets ang kpop stans. This should be none of your business
Same with the kid na nanakawan daw.
Hay naku those kids...
DeleteHer parents must be so proud of her! They raised her so well LOL
ReplyDeleteWatch kayo sa tiktok. Staged lang ang kwento na ito. Well off tlaga family nun bata
ReplyDeleteDi naman sya makakapgnakaw ng 2M kung wala silang 2M cash to begin with. The family definitely has more in cash and in properties.
DeleteTama napaka-trustworthy ng tiktok.
DeleteThat's what I've been saying all along... May something dark and sinister talaga sa kpop that drives the fans to obsessive behavior. Imagine spending that much money on pictures! No matter how many times kpop fans defend themselves from spending thousands for those photos, it's still crazy levels. Again, PICTURES LANG YAN.
ReplyDeleteLast year, I asked a teen-aged girl what she wanted me to gift her on her birthday (I find this more efficient than giving gifts that are cute and appreciated but not really used) and she asked for a photocard. P450 isa!
Delete4:27 tama agree.
Delete4:27 Get real. Value is what someone is willing to pay for it. Canvas nga na blue paint or isang guhit lang can sell for millions of dollars dahil lang sa name ng artist. Nood ka Pawn Stars to see how the collector world works.
DeleteAnon 4:36 true! Try rin nyo the pickers, storage wars Anon 4:27 and 1:25 para rin sa nyo yan
DeleteTrue!
Delete10:52 legit sellers talaga oo pero it doesnt mean na rare mga benta nila or what.
DeleteThose kpop fans really worship those plastic korean celebs.
ReplyDeleteA lot of them also claim that those korean singers save them from their depression which is also very wrong.
DeleteWhatever floats their boat. Pakeelam nyo ba?
DeleteI speak the truth.
DeleteJust like worshipping other western artists, athletes, politicians, man made Gods, money, other stuff.
Delete4:34 Sige teh ikaw na magaling mag-isip. Lol.
Delete4:22 Idolatry is a sin
DeleteTrue on all accounts.
DeleteCan you say the same to someone who said "this book changed my life/saved me?" this comment reeks of prejudice. Honestly there's no point talking to you
Delete4:34 I thought about it really hard and the answer is still yes. Oh tapos? lol
DeleteIdolatry is the selfish sin of substitution in which we devote ourselves to worship something or someone in the place of God. It is foremost a sin of a covetous heart that leads us to desire more than what God provides, and to trust something or someone lesser than God to satisfy our wants and needs.
Delete4:39 Books are different from obsession.
DeleteIdolatry isn’t just one of many sins; rather it’s the one great sin that all others come from. So if you start scratching at whatever struggle you’re dealing with, eventually you’ll find that underneath it is a false god.
ReplyDeleteagain, iyong iba kasiyahan na nila or collection na nila iyon if afford, why not di ba
ReplyDelete12:31, di ba kayo na rin ang nagsabi na alam na ng buong Pilipinas ang price ng merch kaya yung mga kawatan pinapatulan na rin yung photo cards? according to you, something is amiss with the story? you think kmjs will satisfy your thirst? we don't know. lumapit na lang kayo (tutal million kayo di ba) sa ibang channels and sa mga kpop fan lawyers/vloggers para marinig side niyo kung kulang ang pag-uulat ng kmjs. you can't control everything and everyone. you definitely can't control media coz they've been there for decades. they are not perfect but they know what they're doing. you think enough yung mag-ingay kayo sa social media?
ReplyDeleteGanyan rin ba ang reaction mo sa ibang collectors, like those who are into collecting bags, shoes, clothes, NBA Cards, Comics, antiques, etc?
Walang financial value kasi accessible and affordable. Unlike luxury shoes, bags, clothes, and antiques na magagamit mo na pwede mo pa ibenta sa mas mataas na halaga at mapapakinabangan pa.
Delete4:09 If you think these are accessible you are delusional. Anyway, there's no point explaining the concept of collecting to a close-minded non-collector.
At umabot man ng 100k yun binilhin talaga, dahil legit international basketball superstars nga anteh!
Mas mahal pa kasi ang mga pc than their albums. Just saying.
DeletePS.
DeleteAnon 6:50 legit ang nba cards kasi western? Kapag kpop, pipitsugin because.... asian?
Delete8.19 this is what I don't get with Asians in general. They cry no to racism but racist sa kapwa nila Asian and still think of Western people as Gods. Mapa-Pinoy, Koreano, and even some Singaporeans ganyan.
ReplyDeleteItong mga photocards na ito, pag nadisband ang grupo or nagka-scandal, I doubt magkaka-value pa yan.
Delete8:33 It will never spark joy anymore. Been there. Done that. Although, we don't know what will happen in the future, I hope some addicted fans will practice moderation and responsible fangirling. I guess these are what most idols want their fans to do.
They looked well off lol.
ReplyDeletetrue or not this kind of obsession is ridiculous. many yrs from now pgssawaan na yan mgging tambak nlng sa bhay yan. relevant pb ung iniiodolo nun? lol.
And the faniky's story is susp. And mababaw or not. It's passion. Same as other's addiction to bags, toys, plants, or western artists.

ReplyDeleteI hope KMJS also feature all fundraisings and other projects that Kpop fans do to help society.
They already did before.
Hirap umintindi. Sila ang lumapit to ask help.
Delete4:44 Di ko ata na-frame ng maayos but I know it's the family who approached. What I wanted to say was yun family mismo nag-expose dun sa Bea and now sa buong family na mismo nila. KMJS could have researched mpre about the whole thing. Damay2x na.
Delete4:44 re: projects featured, that's good to know. I just think these projects need to be highlighted too. During the height of the pandemic ang daming projects rin. Parang nadi-demonize lang kasi yung whole kpop fans. There are so many toxic fans din naman kasi but not all.
DeleteWhether fake or totoo yung story, the point is hindi naman masama magcollect if you have the means pero kung nagagawa mo ng mangupit to satisfy yung cravings mo sa merch maling mali yon. Weigh mo din kung will it be worth something someday
ReplyDeletewell off naman talaga yung family nung bata.
DeleteI can only think of two reasons why someone would defend fiercely those obsessed kpop fans who are paying thousands for those overpriced photocards/merch. Either you're a korean who enjoy these obsession with you and your country/culture or you're selling kpop photocards.
ReplyDeleteOr I'm not an ignorant holier-than-thou virtue-signaling person who refuse to accept and educate themselves that there's a world outside of them that can be different. Collecting is a niche hobby, just watching Pawn Stars can give you an idea on how much people will pay for the most absurd things. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's stupid.
DeleteAnon 4:42 agree
DeleteGaslighting naman to si kmjs. Bakit di nila i point out na ni ccall out na fake yun story. Well- off ang family, may apo rin na talent ng gma, kaya nga siguro sila na-feature. Yun statement kasi ng lola "gipit na gipit ako tas nagawa nya yun" which in all manner it means eh halos walang wala na. Pero they recently had trio in bali and palawan
ReplyDelete"Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's stupid" or something is really wrong with you and you need to be checked. Chronic obsession is not healthy.
