The woman who runs the Miss Universe Organization is denying allegations the beauty pageant was rigged because it was an independent party that handled the results.
Amy Emmerich, CEO of Miss Universe Organization, tells TMZ ... "One of the top four accounting firms in the United States handled the results and verified the process."
As we reported ... Anne Jakrajutatip, the new owner of Miss Universe, has been accused of rigging the pageant for Miss USA, who won the crown over runner-up Miss Venezuela.
One issue many folks have, Jakrajutatip's JKN Global Group owns both the Miss Universe and Miss USA competitions ... which some say is suspect.
But, Emmerich tells us ... "The allegations re: rigging of Miss Universe are false. People saying that it's "suspect" that JKN Global Group owns both Miss Universe and Miss USA aren't familiar with the history of the organizations."
There is precedent for Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA all being under the same ownership ... back in 2015, IMG bought the 3 pageants and brought them under the same roof.
Emmerich also tells us an independent third-party law firm was hired to look into allegations surrounding the Miss USA pageant from back in October, which was also accused of being rigged ... and determined the allegations were unfounded.
R'Bonney Gabriel won the Miss Universe pageant Saturday, becoming the first Filipino American to take the crown. Emmerich says R'bonney was a "strong and dedicated contestant" who is the "rightful Miss Universe."
Meanwhile, the Miss Universe Organization says ... "The false rigging allegations are absurd and distract from the incredible milestones our organization and the delegates experienced this weekend."
seriously? hindi pa rin tapos? deserve naman ni miss usa ang crown ha. she performs well and she answer the final q&a ingenious.
ReplyDeleteLOL she deserves it. She really performed during the competition. If she half-a**ed pa sana, sige rigged. But no.
ReplyDeleteKatawa lang din yung chika na castigated ang ASEAN fans for being unruly and bullies sa socmed. But kinukuyog now ng mga Latinos ang socials ng Miss U. So with that reasoning, ligwak na mga Latino next year? π
Although Southeast Asia is rising in terms of pageant fanbase, I think they remain MUO's biggest market. Si Mariam Habach ng Venezuela El Tocuyo nga pero parang dahil sa kanyang pag ka-attichona, not because of her fans.
DeleteI was able to watch only the final portion of the pageant which is the question and answer portion for Miss USA and Venezuela. They are both talented ,but I admire Miss USA because her answer is very impressive and was exceptionally delivered. So I go for Miss USA
DeleteHmmm may Isang page sa Instagram that has been spilling tea about MU since 2020 has been accurate sa mga insider info nya. That page has revealed the sale of MU to Anne before the announcement. And accdg to that page since last year pa na favorite ng org si Rbonney. Also, na 1st runner up na lang pinaglalabanan. And since di na favorite Ang Pinas this year talagang alanganin si Celeste noon pa. And accdg to this page's tea wala sa top 16 Ang nanalo sa voting dahil ayaw ng org.
ReplyDeleteNaaahhh Celeste is way too far from rbonney or the rest of top 16. They were all deserving coz they have a clear specific purpose why they joined, unlike Celeste. So weak sa lahat ng aspects. Mag move on ka na lang ok.
DeleteShare the ig handle pls
DeleteMay nagsasabi, Ms Laos daw nanalo sa Fan Vote.
Delete@2:03 after prelims and before finals alam na namin ligwak na si Celeste… pero way before alam na din namin na fave si USA. Hindi niluto, nilatag for her. Kaya we understand the sentiments ng mga ka Miss USA niya. After the pageant nahagip sa story ng MU, Mama Esther to R’bonney “ I told you, you will go to New York” then after mins na muted na ang sound sa story. Actually last year, nilatag then for Bea, siya ang fave pero di nag perform sa QandA. Kay Andrea Meza na time siya din fave, sakto lang performance niya pero nag shine that night was Janick. Ganun talaga may fave ang org.
DeleteYes, tama ka 1:16. That IG page has been accurate with sa kanyang mga pa tsaa..
DeleteNot 1:16 and Not-titas-of-pageantry here
5 years na ang advocacy ni R’bonney at di gawa gawa lang for the sake of the pageant. She deserves the crown.
DeleteWith Rbonney's performance in Miss USA and Miss Universe, magiging favorite ko rin sya. She was a strong candidate from start to finish. It's so sad that we're smearing this good woman's work on these pageants. Rigged or not, she is clearly a winner and rose above the other contestants. Watch both competitions.
DeleteThese allegations were made up ng mga talunan. Kahit ano pa theory o basis nila, R'bonney is a very strong contender kaya deserve nya manalo. Ganda pa ng advocacy nya. Sadly for Celeste, she did not perform well (including other favorite countries). Periodt.
Delete2:03 am she is just talking about all the accurate teas and not even related to Celeste. You go ahead and judge for yourself and look for that IG handle. Since Feb Rbonney is the favored one. And the Miss USA hasnt even happened that time yet
DeleteMaski nman yata bulag eh alam na magaling tlaga c Ms USA. π I only watched Pia’s Ms U journey dahil sa dami ng bashers nya dati. I am not a fan of pageants Kasi antagal matapos.π
DeleteI know susundan siya ng issue niya sa Miss USA once she wins Miss Universe and i’m right.
ReplyDeleteaccla andun si Richelle Singson as one of the judges sa 2018 MU.
DeleteSabi nino?
Deletewrong. dalawa ang pinay judge sa time ni Catriona kaya pinagkamalan na cooking show kahit obvious that she was a sure winner. minsan, naka place din. marian rivera - bea was in top 5. lea salonga - shamcey was 3rd runner up. olivia quido - waley. kuh ledesma - waley.
DeleteIf Philippines or Venezuela doesn't win, it's rigged? Those contestants are beautiful, but so is USA, yet she showed confidence, charm, and intelligence. If you watched the competition, you know she was deserving of the crown.
She knows what the assignment is.
DeleteI like that she won: beauty, brains and advocacy ay check na check. Not to mention, oldest siya among the candidates so may level of maturity na siya. Hindi canned ang mga sagot nya, alam mong based on experience talaga.
Yes and she is naturally articulate.
DeleteHoy!
Kitang kita nman kung gaano kagaling si rbonney in all aspects - stage presence, advocacy, q&a, etc.
ReplyDeleteDasurb ni ate girl ang korona. Kita naman sa performance ni ateng. Kairita avila itong mga nagsasabi na rigged
ReplyDeleteThe fact Thailand and Phil didn't make the cut it wasn't rigged haha
ReplyDeleteIt is clear that there are some aspects in the competition that Celeste doesn’t performed well, there are also Asian judges that can favor the Asian candidates if they are deserving, but sadly not. So sorry, better luck next time or need to improved her performance specially the question and answer portion.
ReplyDeleteIt's only the latinos who are crying "fraud" because their girls are in the top 3 with USA.
ReplyDeleteWill the MUO please reveal publicly who officially won the fan vote. In the new format of the MU pageant, was the winner of the fan vote made part of the Top 16, as had bern done in past MU editions?
ReplyDeleteyou just can't accept someone winning over you..know your weaknesses...move on...
ReplyDeleteMiss USA and Miss Universe was owned for maby years by American Businessmen. Now that a Thai Woman owns both Ms USA and Ms Universe its RIGGED.
ReplyDeleteDEAR LATINOS...when Venezuela & Dominican Rep.won many many moons ago and yes Venezuela winning 6 titles under Miss Universe and OWNED BY TRUMP and others are US citizens it was was not Rigged.
Por Fabor and go rest for the next Pagent because Miss United States of America gave us the best performance and truthful answer to be honored the Miss Universe 2022-23 Crown. Mabuhay πΊπ²❤π΅π
In fairness naman sa ibang candidates of this year’s Ms U, ang lalakas din nila.
ReplyDeleteShe was really favored to win even before she won Miss USA. That's it. Since February. She performed well but to say that it was all equal opportunity for everyone is a big bull
Delete@2:07 true!
DeleteStop being salty! That Top 16 and 5 women’s credentials, achievements and communication skills are top notch!
ReplyDeleteWho made the accusations sa MUO? Si Miss Montana pa rin ba?
ReplyDeleteIsa lang masasabi ko last year pa lang si Rbonney na itinakda so sinayang lang ng org oras ng ibang delegates. Follow beautyqueenmaterial! Accurate Sya lalo this year. Walang mintis
ReplyDeleteHehe bigla naging environmentally driven Ang MU ala Miss Earth through the sashes.
Very predictable
ReplyDeleteSuper agree Kay BQM. San ka pa alam na alam nya pati gown color for prelims nung top 1 and 2 (USA and vene) even before it even took place.
ReplyDeleteMumsh! Di aki part sa GC...sino pala nanalo sa fan votes? Indo?
DeleteI read somewhere it’s Laos who won the voting. Indonesia didn't enter top 16.
DeleteWell nag perform Naman si US. The changes even in the eliminations greatly benefited mga favorites. Kaya hindi mag wowork Ang know when to peak kasi aalisin ka agad.
ReplyDeleteGirl, hindi nagwork ang when to peak kasi hindi nila inintindi kung anong meaning ng when to peak ni Pia. Yun yun. Ang talo eh talo. π
DeleteI don’t think there’s favoritism here. And di lang ganda ang labanan ngayon, palakasan ng advocacy and how long have they’ve been pursuing it. Tong mga iba, even before they joined their nationals meron na silang mga ambag.
DeleteDeserve naman niya! Pinaghirapan niya like Pia. And even her runners up are deserving. Sa credentials palang eh, Venezuela as CEO/Fashion Designer, Dominican Republic Magna Cum Laude.
ReplyDeleteI thought na si Dominican Republic mananalo nun eh because of her pasarela, from swimsuit to evening gown. Talagang alam mong nagtraining ng husto. Yun nga lang sa Q&A nagkatalo. Mas may conviction at mas relatable sagot ni Ms USA kasi based on her experience siya.
ReplyDeleteMs Mexico performed well in SS and evening gown pero di pumasok even sa Top16
ReplyDeleteKahit pa favorite siya if she did not perform, hindi naman nila ibibigay. Stop raining on the girl's parade. She was eons better than many.
ReplyDeleteShe is articulate. Period! Very hands on at masipag like Pia kaya not surprising why the orga likes her.
DeleteTo be honest, she performed better than Olivia Culpo. Lamang lang nila Olivia is maganda siya
ReplyDeleteSo parang sinasabi mong hndi maganda si R'Bonney?
DeleteShe looks prettier without makeup on.
ReplyDeleteShe looks better with nude lipstick and a lighter hand in applying makeup as seen in post pageant interviews.
DeleteJust watched the pageant on YT.
ReplyDeleteI can understand why PH didn’t make it sa semis. The other ladies had more fire in them. Ms PH underperformed in the swimsuit and gown prelims.
Add to that, 50% of the scoring is dedicated to the interview portion.
