    1. True. Anong discrimination don?

So dapat magreact din yung mga Women with Cancer or Women with Gastro problems? Masyadong pawoke na ang society ngayon.

      Delete
    5. 12:13, girl, it’s an outright discrimination against people with HIV/AIDS. They basically don’t want to accept applicants with HIV/AIDS. If that’s not discrimination, what else would you call that?

      Delete
    6. True!!!

      Delete
    7. The winner must be fit kasi andami nya responsibilities after. Hay, lahat na laaaaang nga!

      Delete
    8. I don't see anything wrong sa requirement ng Bb Pilipinas. I mean kahit naman sa regular job you are expected to be fit and healthy.

Not that I am against HIV + folks pero I think justified yung reqt screening nila

      Delete

      Kalokang mga to!

      Delete
    10. Di naman ngdiscriminate, it is stated there din naman not to impair physical condition ng contestants, para din nman sa knila yun. Unless you guys can categorize HIV as simple illness like cough and colds.

      Delete
    11. hiv patients have low immune system. How can she handle the training, the stress and then it doesnt end there. If she wins, andami ganap punta pa asia, africa north and south america!😊

Hahaha

    14. Mga ito ayaw mag talk kasi hindi alam ang batas also baka wala ring alam about HIV. In short mga mangmang. Facepalm!

      Delete
Hiv has medicines na po and they can be in a state as healthy as any one of us. At bawal po ngddiscriminate sa hiv kahit sa work dont u guys work in professional organizations? At hindi pa rin po allowed ang married or have been married. Sana bago mgcomment informed muna

      Delete
  2. I think if you have these diseases, it really depends on you if you're gonna join knowing you are contagious or would affect other contestants. Especially your roommates since a month, sila ung lagi kasama mo. I understand that they just want to protect other girls.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anong contagious pinagsasabi mo? Hindi po basta basta nakakahawa ang HIV unless may intercourse or through blood. 2023 di mo pa alam

      Delete
    2. Halatang maledukado ka. Di po airborne ang HIV. Through personal contact siya nakukuha more on intercourse, blood transfer as well as hereditary. Research muna bago kuda.

      Delete
    3. 1105 accla anong petsa na? Bakit naging contagious.

      Delete
    4. Pwede rin through sugat diba? If both an hiv positive candidate and another candidate have wounds or scratches, tapos nagkadikit sila, possible matransmit ang alam ko.

      Delete
Di po sya nakukuha by just sharing a room. 🙄

      Delete
    6. Mygahd gurl.

      Delete
    7. WHAT do you know the meaning of contagious?

      Delete
    8. 12:42 yun din nasa isip ko! I'm not 11:05, pero mukhang na-misinterpret ng ibang commenters ang comment niya. Anyone can correct me ah. Thru blood pwede ma-transmit diba? What if nga may sugat (with blood) si HIV positive at dumikit siya sa isang negative naman? Nakakahawa yun diba? Or not? Ultimo ngang manicurista at tattoo artist naka gloves diba kasi nag iingat sila sa mga clients. Please educate me. I know it's not airborne.

      Delete
    9. 1:09 shunga ka rin airborned

      Delete
    10. Accla ka 2023 na i-educate mo naman sarili mo about these stuff

      Delete
    11. 1242 that only works kung yung sugatan ay dahil nag saksakan sila and by then, you have bigger problems.

      Delete
    12. Ano ba ‘to. Mas nakakahawa nga ang sibon at ubo. Mas sila ang pwede maka hawa if ma-contained sila sa isang room for 1 month sa HIV carrier kasi immuno compromised sila.

      Delete
    13. I think gusto lang nila na maging safe ung mga immuno compromised for their welfare. Di lang maganda pag kaka sulat ng rules and regulations nila.

      Delete
    14. HIV po ha, hind covid.

      Delete
    15. 12:42, no. Please educate yourself. 2023 na mamsh.

      Delete
    16. 1:09 shunga ka rin...airborned

    17. 9:14 nalagyan lang nang space.......okay. Ang Oa mo nman💅💅

      Delete

      Delete
    19. It takes certain volume of bodily fluid to pass on HIV. Ung mag dikit po ang balat ng gasgas to gasgas is not enough to pass it to someone. It’s 2023 dont depend on superstitions po. Hindi yan COVID na transmittable through slight contacf

      Delete
    20. after mo magbasa ng fp, magopen ka ng isa pang tab to read more on hiv. kulang pa teh, kaya pa ba?

      Delete
    21. 8:57 Educate yourself too. It's very rare, but still possible according to webmd.com
"From Touching an Open Wound on Someone Who Has HIV?
Maybe. Body fluids like blood can pass through broken skin, wounds, or mucous membranes. But it's very rare".

      Delete
    22. 9:22 lol webmd is big pharma’s dream and a hypochondriac’s nightmare.

      Delete
    23. Nakakabaliw ang comments especially ung nagsabi na contagious daw to other candidates at mga kasama, all the info is out there, sana maging informed bago magcomment

      Delete
It just means you have to be in a tip top condition. We know how rigorous is the training for the pageant.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Tapos pag bumaba ang immune system dahil sa pagod at magkasakit, kasalanan pacrin ng BBP - whatever ailment a potential candidate might have.

      Delete
    2. Woke is real, lahat na lang issue

      Delete
    3. Exactly the point! This is more on the health aspect and nothing discriminatory.
The activities of the pageant are rigorous hence it’s just sensible to exclude those who may not be able to cope up.

      Delete
    4. true..dba if sasali nman talaga ng any kind of competition dapat in good health ka?dba maraming activities at travels pag nagjoin ka ng BBP?yun ngang in good condition napapagod at nasistress out, yun oa kayang mga may medical conditions?baka maging kargo pa ng BBP if may mangyari sa contestant, baka maging cause of delays pa..isip2 din ano..maraming iisipin pa yung mga organizers , baka dagdag pa yan sa isipin nla...

      Delete
  4. masyadong big deal eh hindi lang naman hiv ang nakalagay. minsan masyado tayong oa, masyado nating pinapalaki. oo mataas ang kaso natin ng hiv dito sa pinas pero beauty pageant yan so why blowing it out of proportion? why? ang aids? hindi? ang cancer? ang heart ailment? aheeesshh

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anong shunga don? They just wanted to make sure physically, mentally at emotionally stable hng candidate.

  7. Are there anyone with those sickness going to apply for BB? Are they the one condemning this guideline? Or is the noise coming from the woke people who likes to nitpick every little things?

    2. Agree! Puro mga snowflake

      Delete
    3. Well, most likely, “healthy” girls will join the pageant. But that’s beside the point. Their guidelines/requirements only show how hypocritical the organization is. Their queens often “preach” about HIV awareness and mental health promotion. But, what they actually mean is, a person is only acceptable to them if you don’t have any actual medical and mental issues.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Isa ka pang woke 12:30.

      Delete

      Delete
  8. Ako ang intindi ko is dapat physically, emotionally and mentally stable ka before joining kasi di madali ung pagdadaanan ha! Ung point lang namn ng BB Pilipinas is need mo maging 100% healthy before joining.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think this is done to protect the candidates as well. HIV and cancer patients are immunocompromised. What if magka-COVID sila or any other communicable disease during the pageant, di ba? Mas mahirap pa yun. I think hindi naman sila nag-discriminate. Kuda na lang nang kuda. Please naman. 🙄

    1. Ikr! They have to specify ano yung mga sakit para clear.

  10. Walking on egg shells na naman tayo. When everything is always taken out of it's real context.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Di ako sa HIV na-alarm, kundi sa pag cancel out ng may case of mental health issues. Even Kylie V, Pia and other queens battled with those. Madami madidisqualify kung ganun. Dapat well-delineated ang terms pati timeline. Better yet, change the pageant to Miss Perfect.

    ReplyDelete

    1. If you're not mentally fit then why endulge yourself in a strenuous & mentally draining activity such as pageants?

      Delete
    2. Shouldnt you try to handle your mental health first before indulging yourself in physical emotional and mental activities?

      Delete
    3. Susme e nakaka stress ang pageant. Kung hindi stable ang mental health or may anxiety, then hindi ka puwede sumali.

      Delete
    4. E di ba nga lumaban at nanalo yung mga namention na queens sa taas with their existing mental health challenges? So parang may loopholes pag ganyan ang rules. Sana mas detalyado.

      Delete
Example yung treated with bipolar, like Meryl Soriano.

      Delete
    6. Isa ka pang pa-woke at eksaherada.Te, kung alam mong hindi mo kakayanin ang mental stress, why put yourself on it in the first place? And NOPE, there's no need to change it to Miss Perfect. Miss Universe is more than enough.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Gusto nila healthy ang candidate. Syempre rigorous ang sched plus preparation kaya dapat walang sakit. Di naman na single out kasi madaming nakalista. Bakit masyadong affected at aping api?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh my gad! This is getting pathetic and absurd. You have to be healthy mentally, physically, and emotionally.

    ReplyDelete

Yung nag advocate, they're there to help you not to be discrimated but that doesn't mean sasali kayo sa pageant.

Also, if may HIV, utang na loob kayo nlng po mg avoid. Be concern for others, huwag palaging ibang tao mg adjust sa inyo. Risky yung condition nyo not only to others but to yourself as well.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hindi ba dapat taken in full context yung clause? It says at the end something about the possibility that the illness “will impair the candidate physically, mentally, etc”. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it’s not the illness per se but the capability to represent the country in such a tiring, competitive atmosphere. Not just the pageant but the preparations leading up to it. The country demands so much from the representatives so I think the organization is just ensuring fitness to participate and perform at a competitive level.

Baka naman kahit people living with HIV pero managed they will allow given the ending clause

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  19. This is not about HIV status per se, if you can see and comprehend clearly its because all the above mentioned medical conditions would make a candidate immunocompromised. This is to prevent waste of time training a queen then eventually she cannot perform her duties because of her health status.

    ReplyDelete
Huwag kayo sumali.

    ReplyDelete

    1. 12:06 ikaw dapat ang mag educate sa sarili. By the word itself “Human Immunodeficiency Virus” . Immunocompromised ang may sakit teh. And do you know that the medication they take suppresses their immune system too? Kung nagka covid pa sila nyan at nag collapse dahil sa puyatan at rigorous training BP pa ang maging liable.

      Delete
    2. But still you have to disclose it coz it is part of your past medical history. This is not to stigmatize someone who has HIV, cancer or heart diseases or has psychological issues but a safeguard for their safety in a highly stressful environment such as BBP competition.

      Delete
Huwag maging emotional. Sa kasong to, you should be logical and objective.

      Delete
    4. Immunocompromised sila teh! Need malaman ng org to protect them as well. Lalo na ngayon may covid covid na. Madali sila magkasakit aside pa from pressure at stress sa competition. Puro awrahan, rampa, etc.

  23. SA MGA PA-ADVOCATE DYAN: Natural magtatanong ang Binibining Pilipinas kung may sakit na ganito dahil kelangan ring iconsider ng Binibining Pilipinas kung makakaya ba ng sasali kung meron syang HIV or mental health issues, dahil whether we like it or not, the candidates will be placed under extreme pressure and busy schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  27. malamang nakakapagod ang beauty pageants dapat healthy ka. do you think people with cancer and aids can compete? ei magkakasakit lang sila doon due to exposure sa germs etc.

    ReplyDelete
Makakagulo pa sila sa pageant kapag doon sila inatake or what.

Like for example cancer, this involves treatment at maya't-maya may treatment schedule ka. So you cant really tell when you are free and what side-effects you're going to have.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Agree ako sa health requirements. PERIOD.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Para namang singled-out yung HIV /Aids. Hindi lang naman HIV / Aids ang nilagay. May Cancer din, epilepsy. So dapat ba magreact din mga Cancer and epilepsy groups / society? Dapat din ba silang ma-offend dahil special mention sila?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Geeee these people sobrang ingay!! Pati ba naman yan big deal!! Gosh oh gosh talaga!! Shatayp na lang kayo ok!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think they are just safeguarding the welfare of the contestants. Pageants are very stressful physically and mentally, and stress could lower the immune system.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anong problema dito?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  39. I am all for HIV awareness but this is stretching it. BPCI has the right to require their contestants to be healthy, and anyone who isn't in her tiptop shape can be a financial liability if something goes wrong in the middle of the competition.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think they missed the point, all these illness listed have compromised immune system. Sa schedule ng activities nila Baka Hindi kayanin, hindi lang ito during the pageant ha Tapos what if manalo and then lumala ang sakit? She wont be able to fulfill her duties.

  42. Agree with Bb org. Immunocompromised at high risk sila lalo na extensive ang training at detrimental sa health ng candidate specially hindi pa out of business si COVID. Dapat fit and well ka para magjoin para macarry out mo responsibility mo as beauty queen kc lagi kang nakaengage sa crowd.

    ReplyDelete

Lol! Well, pinoys nga naman.

    Let me educate you.

Hiv: for as long as you take your medication and your viral load is below a certain level, you are as healthy as a person with no hiv. In fact kahit magtalik kayo na walang protection hindi ka makakakuha ng hiv basta managed ang condition with medication. Hiv if managed within medication, on average of 3 months ok ka na for as long as you take medication (paulit ulit!). The life expectancy is the same as a person with no hiv, for as long as you are taking you medication na once a day. Parang hypertension and category na niya.

Aids: if you dont take your medication, it will lead to aids (parang stage 4 cancer). Dyan mahihirapan ka na sumali sa ms. U.

Prioritize your health bago rumampa. Dinadamay pa cancer survivors para sa cause nila at ijustify na may discrimination. Amanakayo mga accla.

Even if you are cabcer or hiv survivors, you need to live a stress-free life and still has health risks. Hindi lang beaucon ang avenue for beauty and cause.

  68. This pageants have now become a joke! Dami social issues na pinipilit to the point of losing the essence of what the competition is all about. Wala na yung essence.

  71. Sabi ng lgbtq sila ay discriminated, but i sincerely believe people dont discriminate them because of their preference but because of these feeling entitled behavior. It is the attitude na nakakasuya na porket lgbtq kailangan pagbigyan akala ko ba equality. Respect the rights of others also

Kaya sobrang triggered sila. Intense ang reaction nila against sa discrimination to PLHIV. Grabe ang discrimination noon. Hanggang ngayon meron pa rin discrimination. Nakakaiyak.
