    6. 1:42 even with insulations container homes can be REALLY hot especially in a tropical countries like ours. The only thing that can balance out the heat is an AC unit, which you have to run constantly. makakatipid ka nga nang onti sa materials pero talo ka sa monthly bills

Anyway, feeling ko kaya nauuso container van ay not bec of cost, pero bec mas madali gawin.

    10. Hi architect here. Container homes are a trend now. Pros, madali itayo. Cons, hinde practical for a tropical country. You thinks it's cheaper, pero honestly break even lang, because you have to spend extras like insulations etc, anti rust treatments ( especially wet season at kung malapit ka sa dagat) Hinde rin lahat ng container are advisable to use as home especially if the container had been used to store other things like chemicals etc. Container homes are like ovens, kaya kung hinde maayos ang thermal insulation.. you'll be spending a lot on your electricty bill to cool it down.

As an architect, I am not a fan. Pero if ang client ko ay fan ng tiny homes, I usually recommend to still go for the traditional concrete construction. Pang matagalan, practical for our weather. And the cost is almost the same.

    11. This.

    12. True @5:20. This is why bahay kubo and bahay na bato style are very effective in our country. Earthquake proof, storm proof. The modern glass house are very effective sa mga malalamig na llugar because they need the sunlight to heat their houses.

    14. With proper insulation , I think this is a great house in the philippines sa mga area na prone to typhoon & other natural disasters.

"According to Castro, shipping container homes can be built to withstand both hurricanes and earthquakes." -google

  7. Container homes are fully insulated from ceiling to walls. Which
makes them very comfortable to live in.
They are also environmentally friendly as what they use are recycled containers.

  14. One of our offices sa planta ay gawa sa container van. Ayon sa chika ko mas mura sya kesa magpagawa ka using cement and hollowblocks. And yes may insulation para di mainit.
