I know this is a hard concept for filipinos to grasp given na hindi tayo inempower ng society natin to have boundaries and self-respect, but S is meek, passive, and has a damaged sense of self because of her upbringing. The kid seems to be able to talk about her process in a very detailed and objective manner, so it's not surprising that she actually is very capable. You don't become good at something by being hostile, defensive, and reactionary like yung mga marites na nanglalait at nangbubully sa isang bata for providing information lol. Seems like the kid understands her skill level pretty well.

ReplyDeleteLol people are literally giving "feedback" based on a misconception. She clarified that their assumption is inaccurate. Bakit hirap ang mga taong intindihin. Ganito lang yun beks, let's say someone tells you that your adobo is too sweet and you need to tweak it. But then you clarify na you actually didn't make adobo and you are actually making...let's say asado or something, and you purposely made it sweet by adding brown sugar. Would it make sense kung aakusahan kang mayabang at hindi marunong tumanggap ng puna cause you didn't say, I'm sorry, you're definitely right, I need to work on my asado so that it'll taste like adobo next time?

Ang take away ng karamihan sa atin after watching the clip above is that someone is making them look stupid by explaining that their assumption is wrong. Hindi tayo receptive at respectful sa mga tao who have a certain skill or expertise and are trying to explain things to us, kasi deep down yung sarili nating kayabangan ipinoproject natin sa ibang tao. Sa atin it's okay to be authentically stupid as long as we don't get to be exposed as stupid in front of other people.

Yung communication style nila is completely different from the older generation. If we could only be understanding and open-minded about this, we can avoid attacking younger people. Words are truly powerful kaya sayang yung talent and potential ng mga kagaya niya kung continuous yung pag-atake natin sa kanila.
