DeleteGawad Urian recognize/d excellence not on the basis of popularity but of merit. However, in most cases when you revisit the film or the performances of their winners- their decision is always appropriate. If compare to the US Gawad Urian is the Critic's Choice and not the Oscar.

ReplyDeleteDeserving Si Hilda na manalo ng Best Supporting Actress nung panahon ng Crying Ladies, deserving si Charo ngayon, Pero sorry, lahat ng times na nominated si Maricel eh May ibang mas deserving. I loved her in Inang Yaya though but Gina Pareno was unparalleled in Kubrador. Yen dadating din ang time mo na deserved mo na talaga. Galingan mo na Lang para Di mapahiya ang Urian!

Nope that’s not the performance that Urian likes. It’s a good one but the performance that almost made her win an Urian was her performance in Inang Yaya. But Kunrador’s Gina Pareno was better. Anyway, good luck to Yen. Congrats kina John A, Erik Matti, Lotlot De Leon at Dante Rivero. Ang ganda ng On The Job 2 at Big Night!!! Watch ninyo!
