For 1 its NYC, & di siya pipitsugin not open for everybody, the best din ang crowd because everyone will be cheering you on, & there are celebrities who would run for charity, & some very inspiring people you’ll meet along the way. You’d understand when you’re actually there & you’ll feel the vibe.
Pait pait mo ano? Pangalawa, special tlga yan dahil may charity silang tinutulungan at pangatlo, New York City yan, if you make it there, you can make it everywhere ika nga nila, tacca! Anyways,Congratulations Pia!!
Hindi lang sya "marathon". Dinadayo yan. Sabi nga ni Pia, it's an experience. Iikutin mo yung mga boroughs ng NY tas marami kang makikita, mammeet, mag ccheer sayo. If I'm running a marathon, New York na lang.
I agree that finishing a marathon is an accomplishment in itself. However, NYC marathon is one of the 6 major world marathons - that is why it is special. It is also hard to get into this marathon because of the number of people joining. Some people wait years just to be able to join.
NYC marathon is like miss universe of marathon Parang ganern sya Yung fina follow ko mga celeb sumali jan with their charity keme basta ganun na ganap basta malaki ang publicity at nakakahakot for donations
NYC Marathon is one of the biggest running events in the world. Unfortunately, it's also one of the hardest ones to qualify for. Selected lang ang nakakapasok. Only 12% of 84,000 entries were selected this year. Almost $300 din ang fee.
Mahirap makapasok sa World Marathon Majors (Tokyo, Berlin, London, Boston, Chicago, NYC), especially NYC Marathon. Meaning kahit sino basta can afgord and basta makukuha sa lottery, pwedeng tumakbo. But, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of entries are sent each yeat tapos they only get, what, 30k-50k runners? So you have a slim chance of getting picked lalo na kung malas ka sa raffle life me. You can also join via charity but you need to raise certain amounts (or pay those amounts), usually around $2500-3000. - Marathoner mama who's done with Tokyo and Chicago Marathons pero 4X nang nag-a-attempt sumali sa NYC pero hindi talaga makapasok-pasok sa lottery
Si 1:30pm example ng maraming Pinoy na mema, maingay but yung opinion naman comes from an uninformed place at lalong napaghahalatang walang alam sa mga bagay-bagay.
Congrats 9:42 am! Dream ko mag full marathon but hard lang to find the time to train with a clingy 1 y/o, job and no yaya. Yung dad ko did marathons when he was younger (72 na sya) and highlight nya lagi yung nakapag Boston sya kasi ang hirap makapasok. Push lang sa NYC dream mo!
They vet the runners. You can’t just run because you want to. I remember the year that Anne Curtis ran, Kuya Kim because able to run because he wasn’t issued an invitation. People worldwide apply to get in that marathon.
I ran a Half Marathon a few years back and I cried after finishing. It was an overwheling feeling of exhaustion (my knee gave out early) and feeling proud of your own achievement.
I never ran prior to this, but some friends peer pressured me into doing it after I got into fitness. Went training and even sprained a foot in the process. But I finished and it is an accomplishment to be proud of.
Ano pa kaya kung full marathon like Pia?! Proud of you gurl! Haters will always hate, just be proud of another person’s goals and achievements.
Yep, hindi biro ang full marathon. I can run half marathon with hardly any training, but a full 42k, you cannot just run without training for months, sakit at possible permanent injury ang hanap mo pag ganun. Mate-test din ang strength of will at determination mo lalo na kung hindi ka naman talaga avid runner.
Ako nga 2km pa lang hingal na haha magsitigil kayong mapapait dito ha, a marathon is a marathon kahit saan pa yan super hardwork at dedication pa din kailangan
Nakapagpapic ako with her dyan after. Nasa bandang finish line ako nkapwesto waiting for my husband na sumali din sa marathon… ayun, nakita ko si Pia! Ganda ganda kahit pawisan.
Wow. Kalurks. 1 to 2 miles nga in my elliptical waley na..lol parang himatay na ako wahaha.. 😅 i hope she ate a 1lb burger with lots of cheese..dasurv !
kung di nman sya naging MU or celebrity, kaya pa ansinin yan or makasali jan kahit may budget sya at nag train na. Syempre the event needs a boost at social media presence .
Exactly. Hindi puchu puchu ka lang para makasali. She’s former Miss U with millions of following. That’s part of the presige ng NY Marathon. Gets mo na?
Mas maganda kung walang make up talaga
ReplyDeleteLife goals talaga itong si pia ang bongga ng lifestyle parang every month out of the country
Mas maganda kung kasama niya un jowa niya na tumakbo for six plus hours! LOL
If you accomplished a marathon wherever you are even here in ph it is still an achievement.
ReplyDeleteI think for some to marathon in NYC is a big deal as not all pinoys (marathon joiners) can fly and participate to US.
DeleteThe preparation and expenses palang for others siguro is an accomplishment, am I making sense?
Lol. You don’t know about NYC Marathon.
DeleteNYC marathon is one of the best marathons in the world.

DeleteMajor marathon yan baks, every serious matathoner goal ay makapag NYC, London, Tokyo, Berlin, Boston and Chicago.
DeleteMahirap terrain nya, 5 boroughs. Gawin mo, bili kita ticket to NYC next year. Dapat ma-accept ka ha, since you know so much about marathons.

DeleteCongrats Queen P!
DeleteThose shoes are designed for running. They are made for runners so they are the most comfortable. Eliud Kipchoge wears them during marathon.
