Starting the Rumor

When people start noticing behavior out of the ordinary, they would tend to speculate the reason for such actions. No one can control what others would think, especially if they have a reputation.

Some time ago, Versatile Actor (VA) and Stern Talent (ST) were matched in a project that promised to show certain areas yet to be familiar to the local audience. Like a few of his contemporaries, VA has a reputation that was known to the production and of course, ST. However, such character was dismissed, as VA seemed to have changed for the better.

Then the rumors started. Allegedly, VA made sure ST would not be able to resist his charm. The rumor reached VA, who denied other than professionalism happened while the project was going on. ST laughed at the idea as well.

How then did the rumor start? Apparently, VA and ST were seen locking themselves in one room during the lull. Their actions did not go unnoticed and observers worried VA might be doing something that would make his camp nervous. Whether their actions went beyond professional conduct, only the walls of the locked room would know. VA and ST had shot down the rumor and therefore, no more of such stories will be circulated.
