Sa next few years no need na Halloween costume diyan. Sa dami ng namatay it's gonna be creepy

    3. Gosh kawawa naman sila wala man lang crowd control. Imagine 100k ang tao. Crushed to death sila

    2. Kapag maraming tao like concerts or any event that have large crowds, anything can happen

So needed yung security diyan and understaffed yung police nila sa Itaewon.

If this is true, their govt must be doing everything para hindi sila ma blame sa nangyari.

    1. Halloween is a pagan practice. This is not part of our culture kahit sa mga koreano. ginagaya kasi natin mga westerns. Stick nlng tayo praying for our dearly departed during nov1.
Or better celebrate our own culture if gusto talaga mag costume.

    3. Hilig kc sa party

      Delete
    4. 🤦🏻‍♀️ baliw. Costume party basically ginawa mong okulto. How ridiculous.

      Delete
    5. 2:05 your ancestors are actully pagan. Before the spanish inquisitions the Filipinos practice paganism. We got women priests even and we belueve in bathala and the likes. So yes, paganism was in our culture. Even christianity has some pagan influences.

      Delete
    6. Oh come on! How come when someone on the internet tells you the truth about halloween being a PAGAN practice and has nothing to do with our culture, you're so quick to brand them as weirdos? Stop trying to be cool by copying creepy western pagan culture. Like the other poster said, WE ASIANS SHOULD JUST STICK TO OUR OWN CULTURE.

    9. 2:05, ano costume mo?

      Delete
    10. @2:05 True. Dami kasing bandwagoners at wanna be sheeples dito sa Pinas without learning the history or what is it about. Daming festivities that came from pagan practices (yes even the roman catholicism - originated from pagan practices) Tingin nila pag ginawa ng mga taga west, cool na. Nakakatawa pa, even thanksgiving are now being celebrated here kahit wala naman alam ang iba why it was celebrated in the west. Noon, wala namang mga ganyan.

    11. Agree! Just watch interviews on YT about evil worshippers. It’s not on mainstream media kasi.

      Delete
    12. Korek 2:58.

      Delete

      Delete
    15. Well pag american owned company mo dito nakabase sa Pinas malamang dala nila influence nila, yung mga malalaking malls sisihin nyo kasi ginagamit nila yan marketing strategy jan puro sale lol

      Delete

      Delete
    17. May nakita pa nga kao - "Spring Cleaning" daw. Jskoooolorddd May seasons na pala sa Pinas?

    18. Meron ng nagsi-celebrate dito, sa tv nga last time mays show na banggit ng banggit sa thanksgiving ng US as if introducing it to pinoy consciousness.... DYan nagsisimula ang lahat, sa mga may kaya at nasa media at sinisimulan nila sa Makati gaya ng halloween parties and parades na yan na hindi naman talaga natin sinicelebrate nuon pero sinimulan ng small group of people doing halloween parties somewhere in Makati at pinapakita sa tv lagi. Ayun, unti-unti ginaya na ng ibang pinoy so here we are...

    4. Actually sa previous yrs naprevent nila and mas madaming tao before.

  11. That's why it's so dangerous when those korean kpop fans or fansites do that here in the PHilippines in kpop concerts. Those big korean fangirls tend to push those tiny Filipina fans in crowded kpop concerts, sometimes even hitting them with light stick, camera and pulling their hairs unprovoked... They don't do that in the US though...

Looking at that particular street in itaewon, it slopes down so that's even double or triple the danger when crowds are gathered like that. Pag may isang tumulak sa likod, mas malakas ang pwersa kasi pababa yung eskinita eh.

    ReplyDelete

    1. may tumutulak talaga sa taas, imagine wala n nga crowd control yung iba talagang nanulak pa. eh my slope kaya gnyan nangyari

  13. Nakakaawa talaga. I saw some videos in twitter. Hindi madali i-pull out kahit yung nasa unahan. This is so sad. They went there to have fun and end up like this.

May the souls of those who died rest in peace. And for those who lost their loved ones, may they also find comfort and peacr some day.

Itaewon is a popular party-place in Seoul and the youngsters love to flock there for the festivities.
It's really just that there are things that are beyond human control.

  19. This is sooo sad. Iyong ibang koreans pa naman wla silang paki, minsan nanunulak sila and they always want to get ahead of you. Some of them hindi nag fo follow ng rules. Sa mga asian countries, pinaka discipline are Japanese.

  20. There’s a French survivor who said that there are people(maybe police) making a sign na close na daw at hindi na magpapapasok sa main road dahil sa sobrang dami ng tao. Those who were in front tried bumalik dun na daaw nagkabanggaan ang mga tao and the tragedy happened. He said he just climbed to the wall to breath. he saw people asking for help but they are all blocked na and cant do anything to help.

    1. Itaewon is a go to place kasi where people party, madaming mga bars/resto/shops. The nightlife is there.

  24. Crowd surge po nangyari. Sa mga nabasa ko it’s an alley at an angle. May mga tao coming from both sides. Initially they were maintaining walking sa right side (keep right). But then nawala yung organized direction, naglabo labo nagkatulakan. Since may slope yung alley ang tendency is mag fall ang magkapatong patong mga tao.

  27. Bigla ko nga hinanap mga old videos ng Traslacion (Black nazarene)... there were times na isa or dalawa namatay but never hundreds. Pero wala or konti namamatay... inobserve ko lang yung galaw ng crowd and what you can do if ever you're trapped in one. Sabi ng isang doctor put your arms across your chest to help yourself breathe.. may space para maka expand ang chest. RIP to the victims:(

  28. Sana naman next year alam na nila ang gagawin for safety, malala jan baka gawin pang haunting attraction yan tuwing Halloween.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I hope Koreans will act for the betterment of their "safety" measures.

Sa isang simpleng street party, caused them like a 140 fatality - Absolutely shocking.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Its not stampede ,it's a crowd crush

    ReplyDelete
  31. There were establishments along the alley, bakit hindi pumasok yung iba to avoid the crowd

    ReplyDelete
  32. The South Korean authorities had not anticipated the surge of attending crowd, so they were unprepared in handling this.

In the case of our Feast of Black Nazarene in Quiapo for example, it's been officially announced yesterday that the event is still cancelled for this year to ensure everyone's safety and primarily because we're not yet done with the pandemic. Our authorities know better, because we've been celebrating the Feast of Black Nazarene for decades. We're all well-aware of the health and safety risks. So even if there's a clamor to relive and celebrate the gathering, we just can't risk the probable occurrence of injuries and fatalities.
