In fact, I think it will do quite the opposite--it will raise doubts about these witnesses as to why they are just coming out now. If he's innocent, cool! But if he's guilty, you deserve maximum jail time allowable by law! Like they said, don't do the crime, if you don't want to do the time!

Dapat managot si vhong sa nagawa niya, but I disagree that it is non-bailable. The fact nadismiss ng prosecutor noon, the evidence of guilt is likely not strong.
