tough times.. we spent around P4M the 1 month my mom was hospitalized (ICU, meds, hemodialysis). I was also soo ready to put up a GOFundMe page for her and like her mom, my mom would've gotten mad too. fortunately for us, we have good relatives and friends who helped. all these happened during the height of covid while my father (in the US) and I (in EU) couldn't even come home to see her, much more help my only sister to take care of everything (too much for her to handle but she carried on). unfortunately my mother passed, without my father and I able to come home. i felt guilty, for not seeing her, for losing it when i see her laying on the bed, for lying to her when she looks at me helplessly and tells her we will be okay and we will be fighting for her, but inside, i am broken. it has been a year and the pain, the guilt, the longing, i still have them. i hope her mom gets better, i eish their family the strongest faith. i hope they all survive this difficult time.
Hindi kasali Phils sa list ng Gofundme, triny ko na na icu din father ko for 11 days, liit lang ambag ni hmo, nabaon kmi sa utang. Mas capable si aicelle since she's in showbiz, madali lumapit sa politicians, wala bang hmo or other means to pay the bills
Maybe milyon milyon na yung bills. Mom ko na icu lang for 5 days. Umabot na 400k yung bill. Naubos savings ko buti may nakuha ako sa pcso, office of vp and pres. Hay jusko hirap magkasakit dito. Mamamalimos ka talaga ng tulog sa mga politicians
Nakaka drain talaga sa ICU. Kahit may naipon ka but if mahaba stay mo, ubos yan. 1 week nga lang grandfather ko sa st. lukes ICU, half a million na. Although yeah, kilala sya and she has a platform so most likely meron naman mga makakatulong.
It's sad that very few Filipinos are aware of health insurance or can actually afford it. I know I need it and so do my family members, kaso ang mahal talaga. Para sana panatag pag may nagkasakit nang malubha. Hay.
Agree. Nung nagwwork ako sa corp, may hmo and life insu ako kaya everytime magkakasakit di na mammroblema sa funds. Problemahin nalang magpagaling. With free dependents pa. Sana kasi may afford na premiums na maganda coverage. 🥲
