You're wrong. It's going to be the most successful darna series ever. As matter of fact, it has been airing for a week but it is always trending and every episodes has almost 1m views on youtube for just one day.
I think Angel's Darna will still be the most iconic Darna TV series. Wala lang Twitter nun kaya can't comment sa trending trending keme pero ratings wise antaas noon ng naregister ng Darna ni Angel.
I didn't believe she can be Darna. But after watching the last 5 episodes, yeah I think can see now why she got the role. The girl can act. I'm not turning into a fan yet but I'm liking her Darna stint so far and would continue to watch it
dislike the costume, Jane doesn't look tall with her boots upto knee lenght, the helmet looks ill fitted like its big with obvious foam lining inside and the wings is not consistent for in the upcoming episode there another wing design which a better than that in the pic for it looks awkward during the flight scene. The bikini or boy short with its belt is high waisted to obviously make Jane look taller but it makes her torso looks short, the armour oh her balakang is obviously ther to give her balakang and to hide her flat butt area, the boob part failed for it doesnt give Jane a strong upper part for it makes her look flatter even more in that area. The transformation scene did not even give a closer and clearer look of her costume, mabilisan lahat parang nde sila proud sa kinalabasan ng costume sa body ni Jane, walang angas ang tindig nya, parang ung transformation nila Sharon at Vilma in the 80's ang peg... dun lng tau sa totoo. Pero in fairness maganda ang Narda portrayal nya, saka ung set na obviously sa sound stage ay pasado na rin. Pero di ako magugulat na magrurun lng ang show na ito for 6 mos or less cguro.
Nung una kala ko din walang dating e kasi di ko naman siya knows. Di ko pa siya nakita umarte pero nagbago isip ko nung napanuod ko. Okay naman pala. Yung mga nagsasabi ng walang dating, sarado na kasi isip niyo, nauna na yung pagka bitter niyo kaya kahit anong gawin ni Jane aayaw pa din kayo. Kayo na yung may issue talaga, sorry.
Sa dami ng magagandang design at magagaling na artist, ba't ganyan yung design ng boots (at yung overall costume). She is ok, pero walang superhero aura like Iza and Angel.

She’s downright gorgeous. She certainly carried it so well. Unfortunately some people are just not so nice to appreciate someone else success and can’t help comparing previous Darnas. All of them are beautiful that’s why they were selected and Jane is obviously just equally beautiful that’s why abs-cbn got her. I truly have the feeling that she’s going to be the next big thing and these mean people who can’t help themselves to continue to be mean will eat their words. Unfortunately they will continue to be mean but hopefully one day they will realize that being mean is not a good thing spiritually.
Her pose is like a fairy ready to make a magic, not like she has a superhero pose, ang amo kasi ng mukha. Her face is not fierce enough. But she is beautiful.
As to the serye perse, darna costume suits her. Hindi masagwa but looks stunning in it. Her narda role is relatable kasi parang sanay sa kalsada ang dating. her acting is actually good, hindi OA at di rin kulang. She looks tough yet sexy in a fighting scene. Di masagwa. Shes like the young Yza pagdating sa beauty at versatility.
Napanood ko na yung first 5episodes..dissapointed ako sa acting, na.oOAhan ako tapos yung tone ng boses halatang dub...nanonood lang ako bcoz of joshua...mas kinilig ako nung nagmeet sila janella at joshua...hahaha..but i'll still keep watching cguro to see if it progress..
Hindi pa sya si Darna gusto ko na looks ni Jane De Leon maganda sya at hindi nagmamaganda sa movie nila na the debutantes at sa halik pa lang. Kaya tama lang sa kanya yung character nya ngaun nabigyan nya naman ng hustisya gusto lang tlga maka-bash ng karamihan. Just saying!

your analogy is wrong 1029. you are comparing apples to oranges because the summary of the book contains the story itself ONLY whereas the trailer contains not just the story but also the cgi effects. since the cgi in the trailer is quite horrendous, then all the more on the content(the cgi in particular).
LOL at "horrendous" CGI. This is a Filipino fantaserye tv series, NOT a Hollywood movie. Try to compare with the old and previous Darna series. It's not perfect but it's a big improvement from then. I applaud ABS CBN for coming up with something groundbreaking like this.
Nothing against Jane. Pero against the costume designer. I know they want to be faithful to the Mars Ravelo Darna suit but they could have been more creative in pushing the two piece armor.

I love Jane De Leon! Perfect na perfect as Darna. Ever since she was announced to take the role, I got goose bumps and excited. Jaw line pa lang fierce na. Sobrang bagay maging super hero. Acting wise, she exceeded my expectations! LIKE! LIKE! LIKE!

Unlike Iza na immersed dun sa character so ang natural ng dating. There's the tenderness in her as Leonor and at the same time kapag naging Darna, hanggang daliri yung anags. Ganun ang dating. Kay Jane kasi, ramdam mong umaarte.
Kulang sa fierceness at x factor. Maganda sya at magaling umarte pero yung dating nya tlga pang bestfriend or supporting. Wala shang star factor like past Darnas.

ReplyDeleteHindi pa sya si Darna gusto ko na looks ni Jane De Leon maganda sya at hindi nagmamaganda sa movie nila na the debutantes at sa halik pa lang. Kaya tama lang sa kanya yung character nya ngaun nabigyan nya naman ng hustisya gusto lang tlga maka-bash ng karamihan. Just saying!

May kanya kanyang katangian ang bawat gumanap na darna. It's not proper to judge her agad. Malaking break ito sa kanya and I'm sure Jane will do her very best to give justice sa role nya. Delete1229 but you cant deny the fact na pangit talaga cgi. if ganyan talaga sa trailer, then speaks a lot sa actual episodes. just be objective dear. yes maganda siya, kaya din sa acting part tho may ibang scenes parang oa siya but the cgi, napakapangit talaga.

Wow naman! She wasnt judging the entire series at this early stage. She was just stating her opinion and feedback about the serie’s CGI based from the few episodes shown. Let’s be honest, the graphic effects are really not that good!
Deleteyour analogy is wrong 1029. you are comparing apples to oranges because the summary of the book contains the story itself ONLY whereas the trailer contains not just the story but also the cgi effects. since the cgi in the trailer is quite horrendous, then all the more on the content(the cgi in particular).
DeleteLOL at "horrendous" CGI. This is a Filipino fantaserye tv series, NOT a Hollywood movie. Try to compare with the old and previous Darna series. It's not perfect but it's a big improvement from then. I applaud ABS CBN for coming up with something groundbreaking like this.

Unlike Iza na immersed dun sa character so ang natural ng dating. There's the tenderness in her as Leonor and at the same time kapag naging Darna, hanggang daliri yung anags. Ganun ang dating. Kay Jane kasi, ramdam mong umaarte.
