I've never really watched her so I'm not sure about her prowess, but she landed a role in Hollywood! Big or small, that's no small feat. It's not even a Fill prod like with KC's one. Seems like a legit project.
I remember years ago circa 2016, she was already being offered to audition for hollywood roles, and she couldn’t entertain them cuz she was busy with her career in the PH. This just proves it’s all about the right timing. Hollywood has entered a phase where they’re now hiring more minority especially Asian actors so Liza stepped in at the right time. She has the looks, talent, clout (I’m sure having a big social media presence, she’s the second most followed celeb on IG in the Phils, helped her get more noticed by casting directors) and speaks straight English so I’m not surprised she bagged a role so fast! Anyways whatever the outcome of this project, she can at least say she’s worked on a Hollywood project! Hopefully this opens the door for bigger opportunities!
lovi poe was also featured on deadline for a movie she did in hollywood, but it's not mc. liza happens to have an established career already, kahit hindi sa hollywood, that's why her name is on the headlines.
Big film production company and kasama pa niya si Carla Gugino. This is not a pucho-pucho production. And Deadline second-billing her name on the article title means she's either kapansin-pansin or malakas PR agency niya. James is a busy manager.
Sorry for those saying na malamya ang pag acting niya. Considering bago lang siya nung FM days, she actually did good. Also, her acting sa Alone Together was spot on.
Hindi makukuha ni Liza yung role pag hindi naimpress producers sa kanya. Iba po ang sistema sa Hollywood. Kailangan makapasa ka sa auditions. And for those saying na kaya binigay sa kanya yung role dahil sa social media engagement ng Pinoy netizens, please stop flattering yourselves. Hindi kailangan ng Hollywood ang Philippine market.
