1:41 home insurance coverage in America includes dwellings (the building, detached garage, shed), the personal properties which is your belongings then there’s the liability, in case a third party gets injured in your property. However, it’s the homeowner’s choice of coverage on how much he/she wants to insured in addition to the mortgage balance of the property. If you have a mortgage, you need to have insurance at least equal to your mortgage balance as required by your lending company. So if the homeowner choose a small coverage for personal belongings, then they have to suffer a great loss in the event of fire or other casualties.
1:41, here in the US. insurance not only covers the structure (house) but also covers personal property like appliances, jewelry , furnitures etc ( that's why it's important to take pictures of your belongings), hotel expenses if you need a place to stay temporarily, other structures in the property like shed, unattached garage. If you have an umbrella policy, your insurance will cover lawsuits if someone is injured in your property other properties like motor vehicles. If the house is a complete loss, insurance will pay for the building of a replacement home to the limit of your insurance coverage.🙂
You cannot own a house in North America kapag walang fire insurance. So for sure covered yan.
Ang mahal ng mga bahay sa US but most of them are made of wood and osb board na nilagyan ng exterior cladding. It's the fastest and cheapest way to build a house and retains heat well during winters, unlike here na cement and steel ang new builds. Kaya pag may sunog, flood or strong typhoon grabe din ang damage. Hopefully they have insurance.
1:53 I'd rather have a house made of concrete and steel planned by an architect and structural engineer than a home in the US worth $200,000 up na puro kahoy ang framing, osb board and drywall partition. FYI, our house withstood Typhoon Odette last December with no damages whatsover, magaling ang structural engineer namin. 😜
True. Even if insurance pays for almost everything, it's hard to replace memorabilia that like photos, sentimental things like diplomas, letters and cards, important paperworks like titles to properties, birth and. Marriage ertificates, school stuff, your personal collections etc. Although most can be replaced, it takes time and so much hassle. Stay safe everyone.
I feel sorry for them but glad they are safe . Other than their safety , I feel sad that they lost personal mementos that might be really important to them.
9:16 ang hilig mo siguro mag overthink sa buhay and you must be a hoarder too. Everything is digital these days, the little items they lost can be easily replaced.
The photos can be easily replaced. The id's, paperworks, passports etc can be requested online for replacement. Gets mo 9:36?
No worries, covered by insurance.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not just about the money or material things kapag nasunugan.
DeleteAnong cause?
DeleteKahit covered yan, insurance takes wayyy too long to start paying. They make you go through hoops etc before paying up.
DeleteNot all dear. They cover the house but not ALL your properties like appliances, jewelries etc.
DeletePersonal belongings yon ang mahirap mabawi like impt documents and pics.
Delete1:41 it depends, personal properties may also be covered depending how much the amount was declared when the home insurance was applied

DeleteThere are certain things that insurance cant cover or replace including memories
Delete6:03 let's not sweat the small stuff. Importante buhay sila and can rebuild
DeleteAkala ko na renter sila? If so, renter’s insurance will cover for loss of their things.
You cannot own a house in North America kapag walang fire insurance. So for sure covered yan.

DeleteSad news. Pero kita natin dito why sharing a wall with neighbors isnt really ideal. Maingay na, unsafe pa.
ReplyDeleteSharing what wall with their neighbor? What picture are you looking at? Their house is pretty close to their neighbor but not sharing a wall. Lol!
Delete12:52 I meant the usual setting in the philippines.
Just saying
DeleteIsang bahay lang yan bakla with 2-door garage.
DeleteIs this here in Washington state? I live here but didn’t hear ‘bout it. I hope she & family will recover soon.🙏
ReplyDeleteOo.
Deleteanong no worries. you don’t know what it feels like to lose your house.

DeleteOh my! But glad they are safe!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Buti they’re safe. Bayad naman ng insurance yan.
ReplyDeleteFrom what Jaya posted before, they were just renting the house so walang nawalang bahay kay Jaya except her possessions na nasunog din
DeleteThere’s also a renters insurance here in the US, hopefully bumili sila otherwise napakalaki ng losses nila sa mga gamit.
Deleteok ng manakawan, wag lang masunugan
ReplyDeleteAng laki pala ng bahay nila, ano kayang cause ng sunog? Anyways, sana madali silang makabangon.
ReplyDeleteOmg.
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for them but glad they are safe . Other than their safety , I feel sad that they lost personal mementos that might be really important to them.
Delete9:16 ang hilig mo siguro mag overthink sa buhay and you must be a hoarder too. Everything is digital these days, the little items they lost can be easily replaced.
At talaga everything is digital, sure ka dyan?
The photos can be easily replaced. The id's, paperworks, passports etc can be requested online for replacement. Gets mo 9:36?
DeleteKilabutan ka nga 318 sana wag ka masunugan so you never have to experience what it's like
ReplyDeleteI hope they have good insurance. It's a pain in the butt to deal with these insurance companies. Sa true lang.
ReplyDeleteShe might consider returning to Pinas and do some tv shows. Hindi naman nasa States maganda buhay.
ReplyDeleteShe has the means naman at madami din syang US Shows
😅 Kalbaryo pumasok sa trabaho especially for commuters.
DeleteAng off naman ng caption nya. If God is soooo good, then he shouldnt have let your house burn in the first place
ReplyDeleteNagpapasalamat sya dahil maayos naman sila. Shit happens. Kung di ka natutuwa kay God, let others like Jaya love Him.
DeleteThankful siya buhay sila. So yeah, God is so good hindi sila nasaktan. Material possession magagawan ng paraan para makabawi.
DeleteHer family is intact. God is good . They are all safe.
DeleteCorrect 12:09! Amen to that.
DeleteNapaka atheist naman ni 11:13... God is good all the time.. things could have been worse...
Mahina
DeleteYou must be covered by a renter's policy to cover your losses. Because the property owner will only insure the building.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, they don’t have smoke detectors. Ano ba yan.
ReplyDeleteIt looks old na kasi e.
