True. My son is struggling with acne right now as in yung buong face, not just T-zone. Ang dami ng products ginamit even those prescription creams and ointments pero wala pa rin. Laki na rin ng nagastos. Medyo nakakatulong lang when he was given a skincare regimen using Korean products. Mas gentler daw kasi ang ingredients than yung sa Western. Acne is also mentally debilitating as nag suffer din ang self-esteem at confidence niya.
Ang isang pimple ay hindi matatawag na acne. Kung may acne ka, girl, di ka makakapose nang ganyan. You don't know how it feels na pag isipan na di ka maingat kaya may acne when it's nothing you can control. Tapos hiyangan pa sa derma at medication. It's not easy. Don't make us feel na alam mo yung struggles, Heaven. Nakakapikon kasi ang kinis mo tapos may ganyang hanash ka.
Lol. This kid. I tried to zoom the photo searching for the acne. I struggled with cystic acne my adult life. Tried everything until my doctor prescribed ACCUTANE. I don't have it anymore but the side effect is dry skin..maybe for those who are suffering, accutane maybe your last resort. Hope it helps!
Anon 12:44, have you tried Roaccutane for your son? Perhaps that's the most effective and long-term solution. My sister took it and so did my friend. Clear na skin nila and they're only using depigmentant for the acne scars.
Nung college ako I had bad acne. Ginawa ko regular facial sabi ko sa sarili ko before maging zit blackhead muna yan lol. Regular sya every week. Tyaga lang kahit hassle and needless expense. Over time Awa ng dyos nag clear. Kapit lang mga bes.

I'm not a dermatologist but I know if it's severe cystic acne, he can be prescribed oral meds. As with other commenters here, perhaps he can ask a dermatologist if accuntane is right for him. I suffered from acne din but moderate lang sakin so I was put on s different regimen (antibiotics, tretinoin) and ang dramatic and mabilis ng effect. I still get a pa isa isa during my period but nowhere near as bad as when I was younger.
Who says it's something to be ashamed of? It's not. But it lowers your self-esteem. Having pimples is a nightmare, let alone acne. Feeling bad starts from yourself kasi hassle talaga kung may pimples ka. You can't blame other people when they look at you kasi muka mo naman talaga unang titingnan. Mas nakaka-feel bad if aware kang di ka nila matingnan ng diretso. I've been in the same situation. 38 na ako nong tinantanan ako ng acne. It's not something to be ashamed nor be proud of. Thankful na ngayon wala na, pero syempre may scars na naiwan. Gigil ako ng babaeng eto!

I suffered from bad acne breakout since 18. Natigil na lang nung mag 40 ako. I remember ang pinakang worst breakout ko, sa jaw, sa chin hanggang neck. Cystic. Sobrang sakit. Puro pus, dugo dugo. As in yung mga tao, feeling ko sa pimples ko na lang sila nakatingin, di aji makalabas ng bahay, my self esteem was really down. Tried few derma in our province when I decided to go to Belo and I was prescribed with clenziderm (na works like magic on me) Plus doxycycline for few weeks and of course facial every 3 weeks. While it works, since its hormonal, every now and then bumabalik although hindi na kasing lupit dati. So girl, ung literal na tagyawat na tinubuan ng mukha, ganun.
Another kid na out of touch sa reality ang nagpaandar na naman sa socmed. Excuse me. Hinde ko makita kung san dyan ang acne mo girl? lol. I have hormonal cystic acne. As in bukol bukol na mukha ko . Painf literally and figuratively and it deformed my face and ruined my life. But for ordinary people like me. Life must go on pero hinde ako puro paandar.
Ito yung tipo ng tao na magtatanong sayo kung “tumaba ba ko?” Knowing na she loss 5lbs. 😂 Nag aantay ng papuri. Tsk tsk. Regular pimples hindi naman full blown acne. Pero ang OA nagpaka express.
