I've seen Heart's paintings sa Ayala Museum. No doubt she's talented pero overrated. Ang mahal ng paintings, to think na madaming Filipino painters na magaling din naman pero hindi nabibigyan ng recognition. Hindi mo kelangan maging member ng "high class society" to be able to appreciate art. Yan ang problema sa ating mga Pinoy. We think of art as pang alta lang.
9:34 I can partly agree to your comment but what I do not agree is devaluing Heart’s art by saying it’s overrated in comparison with other artists who are good but aren’t recognized. That is not her fault nor is she taking away clients from these lesser known artists. There are Dutch masters who are not for me aesthetically but I wouldn’t go as far as to say they’re overrated. Painting takes time and skill and as an artist myself (although a different field) I see and appreciate that. I’ve seen her work in person and I like it because our aesthetics align.

Art is very subjective, I for example love the works of heart!! And I would like to buy a big centerpiece for my future home. And I don’t find the works of masters like Van Gogh (unless the immersive experience exhibit), Monet, Picasso as my style. Their works obviously are world’s greatest but doesn’t floor me over. But I would never disrespect an artist and say their work is ugly, just not my style. I’ve met many many artists in my line of work some can command tons of euros for some very ‘simple’ looking art so yeah art is super subjective. Just learned over time that I like the psychedelic effect that seems to stand out with Heart’s art.

DeleteKung wala kayong sasabihin na maganda sa kapwa nyo. Hwag na lang kayong mag comment. Bago nyo pintasan ang kapwa nyo tignan nyo muna sarili nyo. Hindi madaling mag paint. Or kung mag comment kayo hindi naman offending sa gumawa. Hindi kasi magandang ugali ng tao yun na mag comment na nakakasakit sa kapwa nila. Masaya ba kayo sa ganyan ?

ReplyDeleteMay different stroke of art ang painting.hindi lahat na maganda sa paningin ay mamahalin at hindi lahat na pangit sa paningin ay mura. Im not an expert when it comes to giving feedback sa painting pero for sure mas alam ni Heart kong ano ang dapat e paint to break even sa halaga ng bag ni Jinkee. Appreciate it and you will see the value.

ReplyDeleteWow andaming snob sa comments. Hindi po kasalanan ni Heart na in demand siya at mataas value ng art niya kumpara sa ibang artists. She has a name she’s built through decades of hard work, and makes good art that some people appreciate and don’t mind shelling out big bucks. Who cares if your family has a Luna and Amorsolo? Heart’s style is different from them. Stop comparing apples to oranges.

An artist is a person who can creatively transform an idea and emotion into visual form, and Heart does that splendidly. Her art may not be your cup of tea but IT IS ART nonetheless kahit ilang beses mo ba ideny. Ang pait mo sis, tanggapin mo na lang na mabenta siya.

DeleteArt is very subjective, I for example love the works of heart!! And I would like to buy a big centerpiece for my future home. And I don’t find the works of masters like Van Gogh (unless the immersive experience exhibit), Monet, Picasso as my style. Their works obviously are world’s greatest but doesn’t floor me over. But I would never disrespect an artist and say their work is ugly, just not my style.
ReplyDeleteI’ve met many many artists in my line of work some can command tons of euros for some very ‘simple’ looking art so yeah art is super subjective. Just learned over time that I like the psychedelic effect that seems to stand out with Heart’s art.
True. Jusko ang daming museums in Paris. Doon kayo tumudo magpunta kasi maski walang kang alam sa art, at least magkakaidea na hindi nman tlaga lahat eh parepareho in art world. It is free range.
