I grew up in a city and started working when I was 17. I moved sa probinsya when I was 27. My experience is the contrary. In the city you have to worry about expensive bills like electricitt and water, other bills, food, etc. When I moved to the province we could grow veggies and raise chickens and pig, and ang literal na farmer's market is cheaper compared to the tinda in the city. Plus I've stopped TV, wala akong TV until now. It allowed me to slow down from working, and take the time to appreciate the simple things and still live a comfortable life. Plus I'm breathing fresh air. Living a comfortable life in the province is not just for the mayaman. I grew up in a squatter's area and I had nothing when I moved to the province but now life is good. It doesn't really matter kung mayaman ka or mahirap. It's all a matter of going for your dreams and working hard. And let's stop this mentality calling people "privileged" just because they have a much better life than others. It's not their fault they had well off parents. And definitely not their fault if they made something of themselves. And I'm not Andi or am I a privileged individual. Just wanted to give my two cents since I've lived in both worlds (city and probinsya).
12:05 no one is saying kasalanan mo kung may privilege ka. talagang lamang pag maykaya ang parents, o nakatira sa first world, o may laging tutulong sa iyo. privilege is real. itanong mo na lang sa mga taong who do not have even one inch of it, tulad ng walang pang ospital pag nagkasakit. sus. broaden your mind.
