ReplyDeleteWhen I was a teen in the late 90's I was going down an elevator in a high-end condo in Greenhills having just visited my aunt in her new unit. The elevator opened and a couple walked in. The guy was taller than the petite girl and they were arguing. It was just the 3 of us and I recognized them as Claudine and Rico. What marked it for me was that Clau was really angry at Rico. He was trying to calm her down. He even looked at me apologetically like he was embarassed. I just looked down and tried to minimize my presence as I was embarassed for him. Not long after that incident was when Clau began dating RS. I just felt sorry for RY then as I thought he appeared to be a patient guy and no matter how she attacked him, he was still trying to be a gentleman. Perhaps he really loved her and felt her loss deeply which contributed to his own need to forget the pain of their break up, a factor in his demise. How she is using his name and their memories for attention and gain is such a sacrilege to the guy's love and their time together when he was alive. She really should stop. The dead need their peace. To me, it seems something is wrong with Clau, the way she rationalizes, the way she deals with people, the way she sees the world. If she becomes a political leader, what can she do for her constituents? Her fame is only an indication of her acting skills, not an indication of leadership, wisdom, political aptitude or dedication to service. For shame.

I've heard that elevator incident in blind items so many times before but it doesnt mean anything coz we dont really know what's happening and girls are more emotional and confrontational than guys when upset. Her love history aside, I also doubt Claudine' sincerity and her state of mind in running for public office. She has no concrete plans, no focus, she wants to get the votes by reliving the past rather than looking at the present situation of the people.
Delete6:34 - I am the one relaying that story above, I am 2:01 pm. CB and RY had a lovenest in Greenhills and I am sure that I am not the only one who rode elevators with them by chance. I think the incident I witnessed was important in that it is indicative of CB's attitude and behavior towards RY at the tail end of their relationship. What I witnessed, hand on heart, is CB cussing, cursing and even hitting RY. RY was embarassed but at the same time still tried to console CB. While their bond is deeply subjective and personal to them, I felt she was not giving him any dignity at that time as I was witnessing how she belittled him.
DeleteShe left him, he died, she married and had kids, and now separated, she looks back to her past and regularly uses him for attention and now, paints him a political color for her own ambitions. He is already dead. Can she give him the dignity of someone who has to rest in peace? Sa huling bahagi ng buhay ni RY, she broke his heart and his dignity, the least she can do is leave him in peace.
