Not condoning what he did, but I understand it.
ReplyDeleteJada has been open about her struggle with alopecia only 2 months prior to this. Will was ok with it at first till he saw Jada's face and then he wasn't. He is there hearing her struggles and trying to comfort her so I get he wants to protect his family. I do think he shouldn't have hit him but look unhappy and talk to him at a later time. But I understand that sometimes its just the peak of what you can handle

DeleteI think it's staged. They are actors and this event has to be remembered or memorable to the world for one reason or another considering how people are losing interest. There are so many important issues globally that need more attention than knowing who wears what. These actors being glorified all the time is enough. DeleteIt would’ve been the perfect opportunity to educate everyone about alopecia but Will let his temper take the best of him. Some people will always be #g*etto no matter how much fame or wealth they have.
ReplyDeleteWill always had a violent side to him but no one noticed. One time he slapped a prankster in front of everyone while other celebrities just screamed at the guy or called their security. I saw the difference between him and other celebrities. He 100% could’ve remained in his seat and dealt with it backstage or in the public after.

Im not condoning what Will did but the joke was out of line. He was making fun of a family member with disability and the entire venue was laughing about it. That was really hurtful. His first instinct was to defend her. I wonder if Chris joked about his wife’s sleeping with another man? Baka magkabilang sampal natanggap nya.

ReplyDeleteI personally suffer from Alopecia and it was really a no joke situation. I don't agree with hor Will Smith reacted to this, but Chris Rock is really st*pid for him to joke about it. It's a no no. Hindi mo alam pinagdadaanan ng mga taong may alopecia.

DeleteI was never for violence but this case, both of them could have done way better. First of all, kahit alam ni Chris kesyo may alopecia or wala ang isang babae, it's never okay to say things like that to the person. Lalo pa sa context na pa-joke. Hello, he was saying it in front of many viewers ano? What's more disgusting was that the audience laughed as well. Kahit ako I would feel bad if that happened to me. I don't care if you're a comedienne, you crossed that line. In the first place, everyone should always think if whatever you say would hurt any person diba? Think first before you say things. Lesson learned yan sa kanya. But to Will, syempre may better way rin to handle things. He should have addressed it through his speech na it's not okay to say those remarks in public, especially you don't know what the person is feeling.

Chris is a comedian, mas below the belt pa nga banat ni Ricky Gervais. He should have kept his cool or called him the least out but resort to violence is a no no. You don't deserve the oscar for your attitude.

ReplyDeleteSa pinas when you go to comedy bars more often than not comedians make fun of one's looks/appearance. Dapat din ba nating sapakit/sampalin ang lahat ng mga comedians? His emotions got into him, mahirap magpigil, he was defending his wife but still his actions were very inappropriate. Nagwalk-out na lang sana siya.

Chris rock was joking about her bald head. Not her alopecia. He didnt even know she had that condition. Will on the wrong for this one.

ReplyDeleteWill saw the rehearsal the day before. No anger at the joke then. So what happened? This exonerates Chris because Will knew it was coming and said nothing the day before.
ReplyDeleteWhen you can't physically hurt the people who caused you pain, just go find another person who you can beat up :) Yup, that's what happens when you have too much estrogen in your body ha ha :) Will Smith is a broken man :)
