This pageantry is such a thing of the past. Women in progressive countries have moved on from being stereotypes, like being always 2nd to men, of having no opinion or voice or being man's trophy at worst. This pageantry just simply showcase women as entertainment and for people to judge them mainly of their physical attributes. It truly is a big deal for 3rd world countries. Such is the mentality and culture that's keeps them in this category.

I have nothing against the grandiose idea this year but considering our past winners, Shamcee should have considered our very own past candidates to offer hosting job opportunities instead of outsourcing it.
Also, do Shamcee’s management PH-Universe have charities? Though this year's pageant is well funded, I think it will be a great image of humanitarian deeds to put the money to their charities than spend much on the pageant prep alone.
