    1. Hmmm, really? You can’t even see the face, covered with a mask. OA nonsense.

  7. Is it just me or the numbers doesnt bother me anymore. As long as you're staying healthy and vaccinated (with booster, ofc) then its just like flu.

    1. If you dont see covid eye to eye like healthcare workers do, then, you will feel that way. Flu was the deadliest before it came to a plateau and the virus mutation started slowing down—- we arent there yet with Covid

      Delete
    2. The problem is you don’t know how your body will react to the virus. There are still people who get severe cases.

    3. I don't think it's just a flu. I fear for my senior parents who have comorbidities and my gradeschooler who doesn't have a layer of security bec the vax is still unavailable for him.

Walang restrictions. halos 2 years na tayong ganito at parang wala tayong natutunan. We have to accept that covid will never resolve. Meron at merong magkakasakit. Totoong prevention is better than cure pero pagdating sa viruses, you have to build your own defenses. If you want to lockdown yourself and loved ones, do it! Pero don't expect everybody else not to live their lives just because may virus. Let us stop the fear and live normally as we can. Sabi nga ng mga mountain climbers, they know what they are doing is risky but they'd rather die doing the things they love most than living a safe life doing things that they don't love. Life is too short, my friends.

    5. The numbers are actual people. hello? Lucky for you bata ka pa at malakas. The numbers affect me because anytime it could be anyone I love — family, friends. Lucky for you talaga hay.

    6. @1158 you're right. I'm a nurse and i think only those who have seen what covid can do and how quick and vicious it can be will never underestimate it. Those numbers- those are people too. While it's good na despite that high numbers medyo steady lang ang hospitalisations, the reality is you never know how it will affect you once it hits. I'm fully vaxxed and boostered pero I still fear it, more so for my family.

I don't think I have fully moved on from the last surge. Tuwing naaalala ko medyo may trauma and anxiety pa rin (looking after covid patients, feeling helpless kasi we can only do so much, supporting families, watching your colleagues get sick from the virus, being short staffed, fearing for yourself and your family). A lot of this will stay with me forever. Telling families they only have 15 minutes to say their goodbyes while wearing PPEs will haunt me for the rest of my life. And I think once this is all over and done with, a lot of healthcare workers will need support/ counselling for burn out and PTSD.

If you only know what we've seen. If you only knew...

    7. If you believe you are in perfect health condition then good for you. But the thing is, people can take it everywhere with them without them showing symptoms and knowing it. Can people’s conscience really take it if they’re the ones who brought it home to their old and sickly parents/grandparents or young siblings or babies/kids who are stick weak and unvaccinated? Some people always belittle this pandemic and just argue that as long as you’re healthy, you are fine. True. But the purpose of having to follow protocols is to protect those who are vulnerable. That’s always been the point that people can’t seem to grasp. The more they refuse, the more the virus lingers and mutates.

Mga may cancer and dialysis patients it could mean death.. PLUS as a healthcare worker.. instead of giving beds to the usual sick, na ooverwhelm ung hospital ng covid cases instead… AND WORSE.. pag nahawaan ang healthcare workers it means 10-14 days quarantine.. saan ka pupulot ng papalit sa kanila sa hospital?

  8. At this point, it’s who doesn’t test positive. Just do the best you can, unless all countries go on full lockdown again which we already know isn’t sustainable.

  9. Mga baks. It’s only a matter of time lahat magkaka-covid at some point. Naka-double mask ako, not socializing and yet nag-positive pa rin.

    1. Kumain ka ba outside your bubble? Im always exposed to a covid +, never had the virus, bec i never remove my mask kahit 1 sec, not even to drink, kailangan wala na ako ppe, nakapalit na ako ng clothes and nakarating na sa car magisa bago kumain and uminom. Wag mo idamay labat, tiniis ko hindi mag christmas and new year party, zoom and video call ang ginawa ko with my family...kaya sana wag mo idamay na lahat mag posirive

      Delete
    2. Then your mask isn't effective. Ganun yun.

  10. covid should be labeled as flu na din talaga. may variants silang nilalabas pero dumadagdag lang sa fear ng tao.
Pwede naman covid level 1 etc n lng.

    1. Why so judgmental? The countries and governments don’t prohibit and as long as you follow safety protocols, eh di kanya kanyang decision na yan. And it’s more like living with covid nowadays dahil matagal tagal pang mawala completely ang covid and its variants.

    2. Kahit di nagtatravel nagkaka covid din.

We should really go back to sticking with social distancing, staying healthy and being overly cautious as to not bring home the virus to our family and friends. When we’re with our loved ones, all the more we should gear up to protect them. If we are willing to mask up and follow protocols when we are outside with people we don’t know, it’s just right to also be careful when we’re aroumd family and friends. But of course, if it’s unnecessary meeting, just avoid it.

    7. We’re not rich in America and we need to go out and about with our life. Grocery shopping, going to work, kids going to school. These are activities that we cannot avoid and eventually exposes us to get infected. Covid hits everyone not just the rich who travelled.

    8. ANo naman pakealam mo kng mag travel sila? Ikaw ba ang gagastos kng magkasakit sila? Hirap sa Pinas maraming nakikialam. Only in the Philippines.

  12. Laganap talaga dito sa US, pag lumalabas ako, I hear people coughing and sniffling everywhere I go. Testing takes longer than usual. I got exposed to a covid positive person on Dec 24. He tested positive on the 27th. I got tested on Dec 27, Jan 3, 6 and 10. Wala pang result ang Dec 27 and Jan 3, thankfully negative and Jan 6 and 10. Kung nagka covid man ako ng last days of December, di ko alam kung naka recover na ako or negative ako from the start.

  14. Ganyan dapat proper medical care and testing bago umuwi ng pinas hindi yung may symptoms na uuwi pa tapos sila pa galit pag na quarantine tapos pag dumami ang cases nag lockdown etc at nawalan ng work sila din yung nag cocomplain. Let's all be part of the solution not the problem

  16. Kahit saan kapa mag tago if covid will hunt you wala kang kwala, tested and proven yan sa akin, I rarely go out as in rare.. and mablis lang ako sa labas 1-2hour but I got it, triple mask for me alcohol, UV m, paligo, gargle lahat, flu shot, covid shots, Pneu shot yet I got it. Same with some of my friends. So yeah, eventually lahat nga siguro at some point magkaka covid.
